The subject of the study is the dynamics of the image of Russia Day in the policy of remembering the Russian Orthodox Church and Orthodox religious communities in 2009–2021. The author identifies two strategies that are formed in religious memorial discourse: the inclusion of the Russian Orthodox Church in the nostalgic discourse on Soviet society, which makes Russia Day less and less saturated with positive images; the desire to correlate this date with the church calendar, using the image of Alexander Nevsky. From the point of view of socio-political research, an essential element of such a memorial discourse is the desire to fill the symbolic emptiness that has arisen, and due to the design of new promotional practices that connect the festive date with the image of Alexander Nevsky.","PeriodicalId":269039,"journal":{"name":"Tempus et Memoria","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132965134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As conditions for its formation, the potential of family memory and the past as a whole is analyzed. The prospects of historical identity as a way of forming modern identity are determined. It is argued that in a situation of dominance and justification of intergenerational gaps, family memory cannot be considered a necessary condition for the formation of an identity that claims to be public and universal. It is argued that historical identity in the context of the preservation and spread of national identity also cannot become a necessary and universal form of modern identity. In conclusion, the thesis is put forward that moral identity should be considered the preferred way of identity formation.","PeriodicalId":269039,"journal":{"name":"Tempus et Memoria","volume":"35 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131490726","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The author, having analyzed the image of war in the space of historical politics, art, periodicals, historical science, came to the conclusion that excessive state intervention in the process of constructing the past leads to the destruction of \"heroic myths.\" So, with the fall of the regime of the Second Empire in the consciousness of society, a trip to Russia began to be perceived as the result of the fatal mistake of the emperor. During the years of the Third Republic, the image of war continued to develop in public discourse, demonstrating a kind of historical pattern when imperial ambitions inevitably lead the nation to tragedy.","PeriodicalId":269039,"journal":{"name":"Tempus et Memoria","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124347556","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The author analyzes the role and place of liberal trends in modern Georgian social thought as a factor in the development and transformation of memorial culture and collective historical memory. The novelty of the study lies in the study of the current (modern) stage in the development of the historical policy of Georgian society in the context of an objective lack of interdisciplinary research focused on the analysis of the memorial cultures of the post-Soviet space, based of the original sources use. The article also shows that 1) the liberal segment of modern Georgian society makes a significant contribution to the developments and transformations of memorial culture; 2) the spectrum of memorial practices of Georgian intellectuals varies from historical revisionism to attempts to form a liberal memorial canon; 3) the participation of intellectuals in memorial policy contributes to a parallel co-development of various forms of historical memories. It is assumed that the role of Georgian civil society, including its liberal segment, in the historical politics of modern Georgia will increase, and the intellectual community will remain among the active participants in collective memorial politics.","PeriodicalId":269039,"journal":{"name":"Tempus et Memoria","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116319248","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Chechen war was a significant factor in the life of Russia, but how did the society react to the war and what will be the memory of it? Today different groups of war participants have different rights to represent their experience in the public space, the war is mainly described by its witnesses and publicists, and in public discussions, the position of only some social groups takes root today. The community of contemporary artists and the viewers of contemporary art are perceived as mnemonic actors, and the question arises of who has the right to testify about the war in creation and perception of art works on Chechen war and how the position and identity of the witness affect the image of the war he creates. Artists' stories show how the right to the memory of the Chechen war is consolidated not as a duty of the whole society, but as a part of the identity of a particular author.","PeriodicalId":269039,"journal":{"name":"Tempus et Memoria","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129371207","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results of the conference indicate the presence of transformational processes taking place in history didactics. This is true both in relation to its basic concepts (historical consciousness, historical thinking, historical culture) and the methods of teaching history. The main trends of this transformation can be called the central role of issues of intercultural dialogue and cognition in history lessons, the comprehensive use of the digital environment in teaching history, the migration focus of history education and the widespread dissemination of ethical issues, the history of everyday life in history lessons. It was noted that this aspects are correlated with the development trends of modern memory studies, which gives hope for further correlation and mutual enrichment of the two discourses.","PeriodicalId":269039,"journal":{"name":"Tempus et Memoria","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130292266","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nora and the discursive nature of these phenomena. The author analyzes two cases, focusing on the mechanisms of space reinterpretation in order to form a new memory and a new local identity both through the efforts of state actors and through everyday practices. The author comes to the conclusion that successful practices of space reinterpretation are often associated with a radical change in the demographic characteristics of the border region and the implementation of an appropriate consistent policy that synchronizes with everyday practices of the development of this physical and socio-cultural space by local residents. Otherwise, different versions of the memory of the same space among different groups of the border population lead to an aggravation of the conflict potential of their interaction with each other and with central state institutions as they are interested in only one political project.","PeriodicalId":269039,"journal":{"name":"Tempus et Memoria","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114877041","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sources of the research are the materials of the activity of The House of Friendship of Nations in Kazan. The methodological basis of the article is constructivism. The results of the study note the primordial basis of official historical representations. The autonomy of narratives about the past of “local” and “newcomers” and different significance of historical views for the “young” and “senior” is stated. The connection between contradictions in the social and historical policies of The House of Friendship of Nations is revealed.
