Effect of doping value on microstructure was analyzed by XRD. Results are shown in Figure 1. The average particles sizes of samples were obtained by nanosize measure of Zeta Sizer Nano-ZS instrument results at room temperature. A sine-shaped temporal evolution of the signal is clearly visible within every voxel of a heart chamber, with more than ten times the amplitude of the background. The atrial and ventricular contraction and dilation behavior contribute to a periodic time signal with heart cycle periodicity. The streamlines of the ∇φ(p, t) vector field shown in figure 1 within the heart chambers may reveal an interesting velocity pattern. In view of the limited resolution of the current data, it is hard to separate the contributions of wall motion from flow in the v(p,t) maps. In order to reconstruct the images from the measured data one needs to obtain a so called system matrix. A system matrix can be measured by physically moving a voxel sized sample and measuring the signal at each position within the imaging volume of the scanner. A system calibration unit (SCU) provides a fast and efficient method to measure a system matrix. The physical movement of the sample can be replaced by the use of homogeneous focus fields. This resulted in time saving of a factor of 2-3. Under applied field conditions commonly used in MPI (25 kHz, 20 mT/μ<sub>0</sub>), our model predicts that hysteresis will appear in m(H) loops for particles larger than 20 nm diameter, when K<sub>eff</sub> is 6000 [J m<sup>-3</sup>], which is the average K<sub>eff</sub> measured for our MPI tracer. Due to thermal fluctations, the model predicts a maximum coercive field that is less than predicted by the original Stoner-Wohlfarth model, which is given by 2K<sub>eff</sub>/M<sub>s</sub>, where M<sub>S</sub>, is the saturation magnetization. For a fixed value of K<sub>eff</sub>, the model predicts that coercive field increases with median particle size, however the FWHM of m'(H) remains relatively unchanged as the loop opens up with increasing particle size. In simulations, the FWHM of m'(H) decreased with K<sub>eff</sub>. Their homogeneity decreases with higher radius, which is both shown in Fig. 4. Arrays of circular coils show very good homogeneity, which further increases with increasing number of coils, but have comparably poor sensitivity in the FOV. D-shaped coils have both decreasing sensitivity and homogeneity with increasing radius. An increasing distance between a D-coil pair increases the homogeneity, but leads to decreasing sensitivity. Nested D-coils can show an improved homogeneity without a loss in sensitivity.
