Se realizó un análisis del proceso de toma de decisiones en los primeros meses de la llegada de la pandemia de COVID-19 a Colombia y en los meses alrededor del inicio de la vacunación, a la luz del concepto de deliberación pública y con énfasis en las decisiones del Gobierno Nacional relacionadas con el sector salud. Se llevó a cabo un estudio cualitativo de análisis de contenido, usando como fuente documentos de las páginas web de la Presidencia de la República de Colombia, del Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social y del Congreso de la República y páginas de organizaciones sociales, particularmente representativas de población vulnerable y organizaciones no gubernamentales. Los espacios deliberativos para la toma de decisiones relacionadas con el sector salud durante la pandemia en Colombia se limitaron a escenarios formales donde se privilegió la participación de expertos biomédicos y técnicos de entidades gubernamentales del nivel central. In this context, the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, through the Bio-Manguinhos Unit, and the Butantan Institute were protagonists for universal access, dialoguing with international strategies. In the strategic discussion for Public Institutions of Production and Innovation in Health (IPPIS), the use of guidelines of the Technological Assessment in Health stands out as a way of paradigmatic change for the introduction of technologies in the Unified Health System (SUS) in line with the vision of future innovation in health in accordance with national demands. This article, methodologically developed through qualitative descriptive research, bibliographical, documentary and field work, sought to trace symmetries and asymmetries based on the experiences collected in a global pharmaceutical company and a public national reference institution in the field of technological incorporation in health. The study aims to assess the trend of neonatal, post-neonatal, and infant mortality from 1996 to 2020 within the metropolitan region of the state of Rio de Janeiro and other regions. Methods. Ecological study using the region as analysis unity. Data were accessed from the Mortality Information System and Live Birth Information System in the capital Rio de Janeiro, in the neighboring areas of Niterói, São Gonçalo, Baixada Fluminense, and the remaining regions of the state of Rio de Janeiro State. We applied Poisson multilevel modeling, where the models’ response variables were infant mortality and its neonatal and post neonatal components. Fixed effects of the adjusted models were region and death year variables. Results. During the 1996-2020 period, the Baixada Fluminense showed the highest infant mortality rate as to its neonatal and post neonatal components. All adjusted models showed that the more recent the year the lower the mortality risk. Niterói showed the lowest adjusted risk of infant mortality and its neonatal and post neonatal components. Conclusion. Baixada Fluminense showed the highest mortality risk for infant mortality and its neonatal and post-neonatal components in the metropolitan region. The field of research was two new medical programs in the South and Northeast regions of the country. We found that two sets of forces operate in the programs through a qualitative research approach based on the cartographic method, expressions of the instituted and instituting in medical education. The influences of the biomedical model, labor market, and the movements of political polarization underway in the national scenario were highlighted in the field of the instituted. The student movements for change in education, those to reaffirm the Unified Health System and collective health, and those that support training focused on a generalist profile stood out among the instituting forces. For that, a logical model and sub-dimensions/variables were developed to direct the search for data in the 3rd cycle of the Program for Improving Access and Quality of Primary Health Care. Descriptive analyzes of the capitals were performed by region of Brazil. For document analysis, we used the Health Plans of municipalities that presented a percentage of inadequacy greater than 50% for at least four dimensions among the seven analyzed in this study. The study revealed the need to adapt the structural conditions of Basic Health Units for most Brazilian capitals in some of the aspects analyzed, with worse results for physical structure and equipment. Based on the analysis of municipal health plans, particularities, strengths, and weaknesses were evidenced that deserve to be considered for defining the agenda and directing actions by health management. Some challenges encountered are the complexity of symptoms, reduced survival of patients with advanced cancer, and limitations of the health care system. To stratify the priority of care for patients with advanced cancer in home Palliative Care, a risk classification protocol was developed. This article is an experience report on the process of creating a risk classification protocol for patients with advanced cancer treated at a home Palliative Care service in Rio de Janeiro. The initial stage involved meetings of the home care team at an oncology hospital and structured searches in the literature. Afterwards, the clinical situations of more complex management at home were listed and named as warning signs and symptoms: pain, shortness of breath, nausea/ vomiting, bleeding, and acute mental confusion. An assessment and triage protocol was developed with five categories/colors to determine the priority of patient care. O estado de São Paulo não foi diferente do restante do País em relação ao enfrentamento. Este estudo objetivou identificar as principais estratégias adotadas em 5 regiões de saúde de São Paulo, com foco na gestão regional, analisando os processos e práticas adotados para o enfrentamento à pandemia da Covid-19. Tratou-se de um estudo qualitativo, realizado através de estudo de casos múltiplos, com abordagem exploratória, a partir de pesquisa de campo e realização de oficinas regionais. As regiões de saúde deste estudo puderam comprovar a importância da intersetorialidade nas ações de saúde como um todo. Notou-se o grande papel dos municípios nestas ações e a união destes, fortalecendo o papel da regionalização e ampliando a importância da governança em saúde. Pretendeu-se identificar os fatores associados à decisão vacinal de profissionais de saúde contra a Covid-19 em publicações de julho de 2020 a julho de 2022. Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa da literatura nas bases de dados PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science e Cinahl. Das 439 publicações, foram escolhidos 35 artigos para análise. As características sociodemográficas da decisão vacinal revelaram que profissionais não médicos, principalmente enfermeiros, apresentaram maior hesitação. O estudo revelou fatores associados à hesitação vacinal, tais como: dúvidas sobre a eficácia das vacinas e o processo de produção, insegurança pela escassez de estudos, medo dos efeitos colaterais e informações veiculadas em mídias sociais. Em relação à aceitação e à recomendação vacinal, ressaltam-se a vacinação prévia contra a influenza, a confiança na eficácia das vacinas e o receio pelo risco de contágio por Covid-19.
