Weseek to identify the role of factors outside of fiscal and monetary policyon economic growth in Indonesia, such as happiness, demographicpressures, labor force, and human development. For this purpose, the OLS method has presented time-series data (2015-2019).Prediction studies show that happiness, demographic pressures, andhuman development can increase economic growth in a significantdirection. Another finding is that the labor force cannot significantlycontrol economic growth, slowly decreasing growth with a negativeslope. Practical contributions to developing countries can accountfor endogenous (internal) growth over the long term. The qualityof human resources must prioritize productivity, income, and realwelfare. The government needs to plan a policy framework orientedto the fiscal and monetary side. How to Cite:Irwansyah, I., Paminto, A., Ilmi, Z., Darma, D. C., & Ulfah, Y. (2022). This study uses paneldata of 32 provinces in Indonesia in the 2011–2018 and appliedpooled ordinary least square (OLS) estimation with individual fixedeffectsto capture time-variable estimation. Findings/Originality: Theresults show that special allocation funds (DAK) did not significantlyimprove the quality of damaged roads, although the correlation wasnegative. The apparent improvement in the damaged-road ratio ispresumed to be because the government is currently more focusedon the physical construction of roads than on maintenance, so thelevel/quality of road maintenance is still not optimal. The politicalcompetition was found to be negatively related to the improvementof the damaged-road ratio, indicating that political competitionimproved the quality of budget execution in road infrastructureprovision. How to Cite:Saragih, P. This study aims to examine the effect ofthe government program of direct cash transfers (BLT) on the humancapital of children in households headed by women in Indonesia.Data for the study was obtained from IFLS (wave 5) and analyzedwith multiple linear regression. The analysis results show that thereis a negative effect of BLT on the education of children. Previousstudies state this is due to the changing behavior of the recipienthouseholds or the spillover effects on the non-recipient households. This research proposes a different reason, such as social discriminationagainst households headed by women. The solid patriarchal culturein Indonesia often ignores female-headed households, so the numberof households receiving social protection programs is relatively verylimited. How to Cite:Setyari, N. P. Based on a bibliometric analysis of 77 articles retrieved from the Scopus database from 2004 to Sept 2020, this study employs the following bibliometric techniques such as citation, co-citation, and co-occurrence of author keywords. This study finds the nature and direction of research on halal tourism had been conducted over the past decades. It also finds the most dominant authors, journals, institutions, and countries about the works on halal tourism. However, using a single source of the database could be a limitation of this study that, thus expectedly, additional techniques are needed for future researches. The data analysis method in this study uses a simultaneous equation model Two-Stage Least Square. This study found that the exchange rate affects the demand for Sukuk while the BI rate does not affect it. But what is surprising is that when the Coronavirus Disease 2019 case occurred, it did not affect the demand for Sukuk. This paper assesses the impact of changing competition landscape and Islamic bank penetration on bank risk, profitability and capitalization. This study utilizes an unbalanced panel dataset consisting of 37 commercial banks over the period 1997 to 2015. the paper uses a panel VAR methodology to discern the interactions between bank competition and Islamic banking presence on one hand and bank performance on the other hand.Findings: We find evidence supportive of both competition – stability and competition – fragility views for conventional banks. The results suggest that bank competition improves conventional bank risk and, at the same time, lower profitability and capital holdings. As for Islamic banks, competition seems to robustly influence only bank profitability. Finally, we note that increasing Islamic bank penetration improves the risk profile of conventional banks and, as expected, reduces their market power. These results bear important implications on the design of competition policies in a dual banking system as well as on the development of the Islamic banking sector.JEL Classification: C23, G21, G28How to Cite:Sukmana, R., & Ibrahim, M.
