The aim of this study was to establish the incidence of stomatognathic system disorders, and to investigate the presence of such habits in children between 5 and 7 years of age, while trying to identify relationships between these occurrences. It also studied the main alterations observed in the sample, and indicated possibilities in instructing procedures at school. The subjects were 31 children, 15 boys and 16 girls, who attended a public school in the State of Parana. Questionnaires were applied to the mothers, in order to investigate the presence of pernicious oral habits and to perform an evaluation of the children’s speech ability. 24 of the 31 children presented stomatognathic system disorders and 19 presented pernicious oral habits. Among the stomatognathic system disorders, those related to position, tonus and mobility stood out. Functional disorders related to speech, swallowing and respiration were also observed. The main benefi ts of this therapeutical strategy would be the increase of the pharmacotherapeutical potency and the reduction of collateral effects. Amongst the possibilities involving chemotherapic targeting are the use of enzymes, antibodies, liposomes and microemulsions. The aim of the present study is to show the possibilities of the use of low density lipoprotein receptors (LDLr) as a target for chemotherapics. This hypothesis has been studied since the middle of the last century and it derives from the discovery of the importance of LDLr in tumors with uncontrolled growth. Foram utilizados: duas resinas compostas, R1 FiltekTM Z-250 (3M/ESPE), na cor B1, e R2 Tetric Ceram (Ivoclar Vivadent), na cor Bleach XL; tres aparelhos fotopolimerizadores – sendo dois a base de LEDs: F1 Ultra-LumeTM LED 5 (Ultradent) e F2 L.E.Demetron 1 (Demetron) – e um a base de lâmpada halogena: F3 Optilux 401 (Demetron); e tres distâncias – D1= 0mm, D2= 5mm e D3= 10mm. Foram confeccionados 18 grupos (n=5) em matrizes metalicas com orificio central de 2mm de espessura e 5mm de diâmetro. As resinas foram fotoativadas por 40 segundos, respeitando-se as distâncias D1, D2 e D3. Em seguida, os corpos de prova foram armazenados por 24 horas a seco e na ausencia de luz. O teste de microdureza Vickers (HV) foi realizado com carga de 50 gf/30 segundos. Os resultados foram analisados com o teste ANOVA e pos-teste de Tukey. A resina R1 obteve resultados signifi cativamente melhores quando fotoativada pelo aparelho F1, na distância D1 (81,7±3,0), com p< 0,01, sem diferencas signifi cantes entre D2 (68,5±3,3) e D3 (68,6±1,8). Na resina R2, o aparelho F1 tambem obteve melhores resultados, sendo D1 (40,2±1,4) signifi cativamente maior que D2 (37,8±1,2) e D3 (36,9±1,2), com p< 0,05.
