The influence of a controller's operation on a process is linked to its success or failure. However, using a controller that works properly presents several obstacles, such as non-linearity or the lack of a model that adequately represents the behavior of the process. Different approaches have been devised and studied to deal with these difficulties. One of the most promising and widely applied and studied in recent years is fuzzy control due to its ability to operate systems with no precise plant model. Herein, a set of rules and a fuzzy control structure are proposed, with fewer design parameters than a conventional fuzzy controller and better performance. The global stochastic optimization tool Differential Evolution is used to obtain the design parameters of the proposed fuzzy controller.","PeriodicalId":263806,"journal":{"name":"Afinidad. Rajabi","doi":"10.55815/428833","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.55815/428833","url":null,"abstract":"In this present work, a zeolitic imidazolate framework, ZIF-8, an oil-soluble long chain Ionic Liquids, [OMIM][NTf2], was separately synthesized and characterized. Ex-situ preparation of [OMIM][NTf2]-ZIF8 (IL@ZIF8) nanostructures were performed solvothermal, and the products were specified by the several techniques including XRD, FESEM, H-NMR, FTIR, TGA and N2 adsorption-desorption. The products were evaluated as a highly effective material in visbreaking process of petroleum vacuum bottoms (PVBs). To best our knowledge, no was reported in survey on the literature for MOFs as conversion enhancer and viscosity modifier in a visbreaking process especially for atmospheric pressure and elevated temperatures of    375 -400 °C during maximum 120 min. Injection of a little amount of the synthesized products to PVBs caused to produce gaseous compounds, naphtha, middle distillates, lubricating oil and tar. However, viscosity measurement results revealed that IL@ZIF8 was ideally suited for viscosity reduction of PVBs up to 321% after cracking and conversion of PVBs to its distillates up to 1400%. Catalytic upgrading with IL@ZIF-8 also yielded a liquid with 50% light hydrocarbon without any further coke formation.","PeriodicalId":263806,"journal":{"name":"Afinidad. After an introduction reporting the main publications gathered in three tables, this review is organized into a) olefin epoxidation; b) other enantioselective catalysts; c) Juliá-Colonna papers; d, e) papers citing the \"Juliá-Colonna\" epoxidation with special stress on those by Stanley M. Aluminum sulfate (Al2(SO4)3) is the most used coagulant internationally, due to its efficiency and low cost. However, its utilization can leave a residue of aluminum in water and bring with it a variety of health problems due to its bioaccumulative characteristics, implying both the deterioration of ecosystems and problems for human health. In this regard, it is necessary to establish alternatives that avoid the permanence of this heavy metal in water, so that the mucilage of Opuntia ficus-indica becomes a natural coagulant of great interest. Likewise, it is a sustainable alternative for water treatment, given its characteristics of biodegradability, low toxicity, commercial cost, relative abundance, renewability, and high efficiency, allowing a low generation of sludge, which can be biodegraded through a fair treatment with a high valuation spectrum","PeriodicalId":263806,"journal":{"name":"Afinidad. For aqueous standards, with the addition of 10% acetonitrile, good linearity was found for naphthalene, acenaphthene, anthracene, pyrene, and chrysene curves up to the second day of standards preparation. In filtration, the best results were obtained using the AP10 and Nylon filters with 10% acetonitrile, with recovery ranges of 98-72% and 93-56%, respectively. In contrast, lower values were obtained with cellulose filters in a polyethylene holder without the addition of 10% acetonitrile with recoveries of 52-0%. A 23 factorial design established, for natural water, that the most important factors were: storage time for naphthalene and acenaphthene, with area losses at 48 hours and the use of organic solvent for anthracene, pyrene and chrysene, with area gain for 20 % acetonitrile. For liquid-liquid extraction in standards, recoveries of 62-45% were found in aqueous matrix without acetonitrile and 98-35% with 20% acetonitrile + 2.5% NaCl, at 24 hours of preparation.","PeriodicalId":263806,"journal":{"name":"Afinidad. Among them, Senecio rudbeckiifolius Meyen & Walp. is used in decoction for rheumatic affection and skin allergies. The chemical composition and antioxidant activity of the leaf essential oil from plants grown in the Peruvian Andes were studied. Eighty compounds were identified in the essential oil. Monoterpene hydrocarbons had the major percentage (91.4%), followed by oxygenated monoterpenes (4.2%). The most abundant compounds were myrcene (23.4%), b-phellandrene (17.1%), sabinene (15.1%) and limonene (11.7%). In addition, the possible applicability of volatile metabolites for revealing taxonomic/evolutionary relationships among Senecio species was explored. Antioxidant activity were examined using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl and ferric reducing antioxidant power assays. {"title":"Determination of the toxic metabolite aflatoxin M1 in raw, pasteurized and ultra-pasteurized milks comparing the ELISA Technique and High Performance Liquid Chromatography.","authors":"María Fernanda Uguña Rosas, José Guillermo Vidal Vidal, Juana María Cabrera Quito, Luisa Mayra Vera Cabezas","doi":"10.55815/422377","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.55815/422377","url":null,"abstract":"Aflatoxins are very potent toxic metabolites with carcinogenic, teratogenic, mutagenic, hepatotoxic and immunosuppressive effects, which constitute a potential risk to human health, so they should be considered as a latent problem that requires continuous examination in order to ensure food quality. This study was carried out with the objective of quantitatively determining the content of Aflatoxin M1 in three types of raw, pasteurized and ultrapasteurized milk consumed in the city of Cuenca-Ecuador, through thecomparative analysis of the High Performance Liquid Chromatography HPLC Techniques, after an extraction process in immunoaffinity columns and the ELISA Technique. Eighty-four samples were analyzed in three types of milk: raw, pasteurized and ultra-pasteurized, with the ELISA technique, none exceeded the detection limit of Aflatoxin M1(125 ppt or 0.125 ppb), established both by the national INEN: 9-10 in force and the parameters established by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Food and Drug Administration of the United States (0.5ppb) and with the High Performance Liquid Chromatography technique, 16 positive samples were found that were between the limit of detection and quantification (0.09 - 0.18 ppb.), obtaining a prevalenceof 19%, so that the High Performance Liquid Chromatography technique is more sensitive in the quantitative detection of the toxic metabolite Aflatoxin M1 in milk.","PeriodicalId":263806,"journal":{"name":"Afinidad.
