Although these suspension components provide a stabilizing effect on the vehicles, they also influence the ride comfort performances by affecting the accelerations perceived by the passengers. In this context, this paper aims to correlate the installation angle on the vertical plane of such suspension components on the ride comfort performances of a generic high-speed train. The proposed methodology is based on multibody simulations of a model with deformable car body. The modal behavior of the model is aligned to the typical mode shapes and natural frequencies reported in literature.","PeriodicalId":262664,"journal":{"name":"Vibroengineering PROCEDIA","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136129949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This approach allows to consider nonlinear cyclic behaviour of the walls, which cannot be taken into account with the static approaches used in most of the available literature on LFT buildings. To this aim, Finite Element wall models, preliminary calibrated towards a cyclic full-scale experimental test, are built to study six case-study buildings, both regular and non-regular, with 2, 3 or 4 storeys, which were designed according to Eurocode and Capacity Design provisions. Parametric analyses are performed by varying the displacement-ductility of the panel. Finally, numerical results are discussed in terms of <mml:math xmlns:mml=\"http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML\"><mml:mi>q</mml:mi></mml:math>-behaviour factor, and its sensitivity to structural irregularities, with respect to existing code provisions for timber buildings.","PeriodicalId":262664,"journal":{"name":"Vibroengineering PROCEDIA","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136128990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, MBS modelling of a CRH high-speed train is carried out, in the modelling process, nonlinear geometry of wheel-rail contact, nonlinear characteristics of the suspensions and nonlinear railroad irregularities are fully considered. With the obtained MBS model, simulation is performed and demonstrates that critical speed of the CRH train is 378 km/h, vertical ride comfort of the CRH train is in “Excellent” level and lateral ride comfort is in “Good” level, in addition, RMS derailment coefficient of the train is less than 0.5 which means curving performance of the train is good. Agreement of simulation result with actual test or running data validates the established MBS model, thus, the MBS model developed in this study is accurate and would be useful in the next step vibration analysis and suspension optimization of the CRH train.","PeriodicalId":262664,"journal":{"name":"Vibroengineering PROCEDIA","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136129004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results indicate that replacing BaO with ZnO does not change the amorphous structure of the glass, and the density of the glass increases with the increase of ZnO content. With the increase of ZnO content in glass, the tendency of devitrification increases during cooling, indicating an increased tendency for surface crystallization of glass. The glass with high ZnO content has the highest density and refractive index, and has the best water resistance. However, at this time, the glass is easier to crystallize after heat treatment.","PeriodicalId":262664,"journal":{"name":"Vibroengineering PROCEDIA","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136128731","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is very important for their everyday life, working, shopping, going to jobs, for their well-being and also for communications with friends, relatives, social contacts, and similar. Of course, when the body changes the way people are walking changes too. This is something everybody anticipates to be true and believes to be true. The question is can we quantify this and how much actually changes with age in the way we do walking? This is the main issue we try to elucidate in our article. To do that we consider two groups aged 18-25 and aged 30-40 and analyse what are the basic changes during walking. We do that by creating a biomechanical model of the human body and its computer implementations within a CAD system. The model enables computer simulation and computer design for anthropomorphic robotic applications as well as for medical applications (orthopaedics, traumatology, orthotics, and prosthetics design), among other things.","PeriodicalId":262664,"journal":{"name":"Vibroengineering PROCEDIA","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136128718","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the analysis of the current situation of waterproof technology of prefabricated subway station joints, this paper conducts similar experiments on the waterproof mechanism and construction characteristics of the water-swelling rubber water-stop selected at the joint, and analyzes the waterproof performance of the assembly joint and the overall performance of the structure. It lays the foundation for the selection of waterproof materials, structural size optimization and opening design of the prefabricated subway station structure, and analyzes the waterproof performance of the rubber water-stop. In order to grasp and record the overall stability and waterproof performance of the assembled subway station structure in time, on the basis of field investigation, the model joint specimens of the assembled subway station joints were made according to the similar theoretical model experiment, and the joints of the assembled subway station joints were watered. The internal seepage, development and deformation convergence of the specimen structure were monitored in real time. The monitoring results will provide data support for the operation safety of the assembled subway station.","PeriodicalId":262664,"journal":{"name":"Vibroengineering PROCEDIA","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136128720","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the locomotion characteristics of the novel vibration-driven design of the pipeline inspecting and cleaning robot actuated by an electromagnetic exciter and equipped with the size-adapting and self-locking mechanisms. The research methodology consists of four main stages: an overview of the enhanced robot design; constructing its dynamic diagram and deriving the differential equations of motion; performing the numerical modeling with the help of the Mathematica software and studying the robot’s kinematic characteristics; conducting virtual experiments by computer simulation of the robot motion in the SolidWorks software. The research results present the time dependencies of the robot’s displacement, speed, and acceleration at different working regimes (excitation forces, disturbing frequencies, etc.). The novelty of the performed investigations consists in substantiating the efficient locomotion conditions of the enhanced vibration-driven in-pipe robot. Further investigations can be focused on developing the full-scale laboratory prototype of the robot and conducting experimental studies. The obtained research results can be interesting for engineers and scientists who deal with similar vibration-driven pipeline robots.","PeriodicalId":262664,"journal":{"name":"Vibroengineering PROCEDIA","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136128727","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research paper presents a comprehensive methodology for detecting transverse cracks in beams with a constant section and any boundary conditions. The proposed approach utilizes the normalized squared modal curvature of the beam, the damage severity, and the natural frequency of the undamaged beam. By analyzing the natural frequencies of both the undamaged and damaged states, Relative Frequency Shift (RFS) values are obtained. Subsequently, the Damage Location Coefficients (DLC) are calculated by normalizing the RFS values. These DLC values are then employed to establish a comprehensive database of known damage signatures, enabling the training of an artificial neural network (ANN) in MATLAB. The trained ANN can predict the locations of damages for new scenarios by utilizing DLC values obtained from measurements. To validate the effectiveness of the ANN, extensive simulations using Finite Element Method (FEM) and experimental measurements are conducted on a steel cantilever beam. The results demonstrate the ANN’s capability to accurately predict the locations of transverse cracks, showcasing its potential as a reliable tool for structural health monitoring of steel beams.","PeriodicalId":262664,"journal":{"name":"Vibroengineering PROCEDIA","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136128997","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
