The artificial anal sphincter is actuated by flexible heaters attached to SMA, then opens anal canal. The purpose of this study is to propose the simple system of artificial sphincters controlled its temperature by the inductor consisting of Ni-Cu-Zn based thermosensitive magnetic ferrite. We discovered that these nanotubes can be easily spin-tuned by charge doping. By adding either electrons (e.g. doping with lithium) or holes (e.g. doping with iodine) to this multiband strongly correlated system, we found that the initially spin-frustrated nanotubes develop a nearly identical nonlinear ferromagnetic spin response. Based on complex structure of VOx nanotubes, we developed a model explaining how either electron (Li) or hole (I) doping can produce an identical magnetic response in such layered low-dimensional objects.","PeriodicalId":262607,"journal":{"name":"INTERMAG 2006 - IEEE International Magnetics Conference","volume":"37 22","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120822839","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Their magnetic properties are also discussed in detail. For comparison, discretely patterned Co/Pd film obtained by e-beam lithography followed by etching process is also studied. From M-H loops, the sample shows in-plane anisotropy. Also, from magnetic force microscopy (MFM) image and M-H loops of ion-irradiation-patterned Co/Pd films, the exchange coupling between bits is considered to exist through in-plane magnetized space region.","PeriodicalId":262607,"journal":{"name":"INTERMAG 2006 - IEEE International Magnetics Conference","volume":"422 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116169707","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the switching field (Hsw) of the L10-FePt particle is too large to write by the currently used write head. Hard/soft stacked media are proposed to solve this problem. Recently, we demonstrated that the coercivity of isolated FePt particles can be reduced by introducing a thin disordered layer on FePt particles by capping them with amorphous Al2O3. Since the Ku of the disordered FePt is much smaller than that of the L10 FePt, the interfacially disordered FePt particle is equivalent to the hard/soft stacked structure. In this study, we have investigated the magnetization reversal process using the partially disordered FePt particles that are smaller than the critical size for coherent rotation.","PeriodicalId":262607,"journal":{"name":"INTERMAG 2006 - IEEE International Magnetics Conference","volume":"111 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116170093","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper studies the effect by means of Monte Carlo simulations and tries to obtain more insight into the phenomenon. The AF layer is randomly diluted up to 0.3 at.% to account for the presence of defects contributing to the exchange bias effect. The influence of the FM dilution on the onset of SPM is investigated.","PeriodicalId":262607,"journal":{"name":"INTERMAG 2006 - IEEE International Magnetics Conference","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116364517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This composition is known to exhibit interesting magnetic properties at low temperatures . The results obtained earlier suggest an electronic phase separation due to coexistence of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interaction which competes and causes frustration. Due to the substitution of Sr2+ at Neodymium site, Co3+ and Co4+ are generated which can in principle exist in either low, intermediate or high spin states.
