Using a panel data set of 33 Vietnamese commercial banks during the period from 2006 to 2020, the empirical analysis shows the more diverse in revenue sources, the higher banks’ financial performance. The research provides some recommendations that banks should look forward to diversifying their income, particularly income from non-traditional activities, in order to improve competitiveness, reduce risk, and raise profitability and policies that encourage banks to diversify their incomes should be enacted. This will not only be beneficial for banks but also helps to mitigate the risk for banking industry and maintain its stability. The main results are robust to a different measure of financial performance and controlling for the period of economic crisis.","PeriodicalId":262140,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science and Technology Issue on Information and Communications Technology","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125187008","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The influences of innovation climate and autonomy on employees’ creativity were investigated in this research. Moreover, authors also examined the moderating effects of two factors: “Psychological capital” and “job complexity” on the relationship in the research model. Mixed method was used in this research with data collected from staff in Hochiminh city. Innovation climate and autonomy have positive impacts on employees’ creativity. In theory, this research contributes to strengthen the judgments about the impacts of organizational environment on creative behaviors of staff. In practice, enterprises should build a creative atmosphere and provide more autonomy so that employees can have more creative behaviors at work.","PeriodicalId":262140,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science and Technology Issue on Information and Communications Technology","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121708872","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We first studied ignition probability (Pig) of lean methane/air at an equivalence ratio of 0.5 using 2C-SD with different spark-gaps (dgap = 1.0mm and 2.0mm) in a constant volume combustion chamber. We then applied 2C-SD to the engine driving a 2.5-kW generator. The results indicated that Pig is 30% and 45% at dgap=1.0mm and 2.0mm, respectively, while Pig is 0 when using conventional single spark discharge (CSSD). Compared to CSSD, when using 2C-SD the engine power could be improved by 4%-9.7%, depending on the throttle openings. We expect the larger volume of the initial flame kernel by 2C-SD could enhance Pig and quickly reach the critical flame radius before self-sustained propagating. The faster initial flame speed is essential for achieving the optimal combustion phasing, resulting in a higher power.","PeriodicalId":262140,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science and Technology Issue on Information and Communications Technology","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121841876","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research employs various scaling laws for mass and cost calculations. The calculations are implemented using wind data of a specific region on the South-Central Coast. The permanent magnet synchronous generator with high efficiency, light-weight, and compact design will be used for the wind generator. The levelized cost of energy as a function of the generator’s nominal power is then built to figure out the optimal power of the wind generator. Results show that future offshore wind farms with monopile foundations having a mean wind speed of about 6.5 m/s should be installed with a turbine's nominal power of 7 MW.","PeriodicalId":262140,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science and Technology Issue on Information and Communications Technology","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123908667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Detecting falls, taking fall patients to the emergency room, and sending notification to their family in time is very important. In this paper, we propose a method that combines face recognition and action recognition for fall detection. Specifically, we identify seven basic actions that take place in elderly daily life based on skeleton data extracted using YOLOv7-Pose model. Two deep models which are Spatial Temporal Graph Convolutional Network (ST-GCN), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) are employed for action recognition on the skeleton data. The experimental results on our dataset show that ST-GCN model achieved an accuracy of 90% that is 7% higher than the LSTM model.","PeriodicalId":262140,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science and Technology Issue on Information and Communications Technology","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126124464","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Image dehazing refers to the processing tasks that lessen this negative effect. In this work, an alternative approach to single-image dehazing is developed which skips solving the haze formation equation, while still respects its hypothesis. In this method, we generated multiple under-exposed images from a single hazy input, followed by a detail enhancement process. Such resulting images were then merged using weights calculated based on the Dark Channel Prior assumption and overcame luminance enhancement. The visual improvement has been validated by both qualitative and quantitative evaluations.","PeriodicalId":262140,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science and Technology Issue on Information and Communications Technology","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127544890","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On that basis, a procedure for estimating dynamic parameters associated with simplified models for anchored and unanchored conditions together with calculation methods of seismic responses and damage states of tanks are presented. In which, the nonlinear behavior of the bottom plate in the case of unanchored conditions caused by sliding and uplift phenomena is properly modeled based on the nonlinear static pushover analysis on a 3D finite element model. Finally, an example of the numerical modeling and seismic response analysis of a water tank is presented. Studied 299 non-small cell lung cancer patients to determine the distribution of EGFR mutation and its relationship with clinicopathological characteristics of patients. EGFR mutations were analysed by allele-specific PCR on the Cobas z480 system, and the association between EGFR mutations and patient characteristics was analysed by Pearson Chi-square test and Fisher extract test. The results showed that the frequency of EGFR mutation was 38.8%, in which, Ex19Del and L858R substitution were predominant among overall mutation, 45.4% and 29.1%, respectively. There was no difference between EGFR mutations with age, specimen type, tumour size and histopathological subtype. However, there was a strong correlation between EGFR mutation and gender and tumour status (p<0.05). In particularly, Ex19Del and L858R mutation were positively associated with females, while the G719X substitution mainly occurred in male patients.","PeriodicalId":262140,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science and Technology Issue on Information and Communications Technology","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114233598","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There were a lot of publications about the hard-facing of these components using some thermal spray processes: electric arc wire, High Velocity Oxygen - Fuel (HVOF), detonation, and plasma. The decision of the engineer depends on the context based on the specific character of the component, the operation condition, and the availability of the equipment. The typical generation plasma gas is the inert gas, namely the argon, helium, or their mixture. Recent publications have shown the result of deposition using amorphous powder, cermet, and self-flux materials. However, there is a lack of investigation on the air plasma spray using Fe-based powders. The contribution of this work is the new combining solution, including the innovation of a plasma torch, to spray Fe-based powders in the ordinary air for hard-facing provided wear resistance.","PeriodicalId":262140,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science and Technology Issue on Information and Communications Technology","volume":"03 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127229801","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
