The Garton effect in insulation theory was expounded. Using a CVT with Garton effect, the values of dielectric loss were measured before and after the lightning impulse test and the short-time running voltage test respectively. Through the analysis of the values, the law of the influence of Garton effect on the measurement values of dielectric loss of CVT is mastered. In view of the impacts of wind power’s stochastic volatility on wind power forecasting accuracy, a novel short-term wind power prediction method based on ARIMA-LGARCH model is proposed in this paper. This method analyzes the non-stationary and autocorrelation of time series data of wind power by utilizing Auto Regression Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model and asymmetric positive and negative fluctuation characteristics of wind power based on Logarithmic Generalized Autoregression Conditional Heteroscedasticity (LGARCH) model. LGARCH is designed to deal with the asymmetric fluctuation and data-trailing problems of wind power through introducing logarithm process and the independent identically distributed stochastic variable into the current GARCH model. The mixed model of ARIMA-LGARCH is built to achieve high-accuracy short-term forecasting of wind power output with strong uncertainties. In this paper, the generation structure in China Southern Power Grid (CSG) in 2050 with high penetration of PV generation is discussed. In addition, the impacts of high penetration of PV generation on power balance and peak-load regulation, as well as the influence of investment of PV and energy storage equipment on power generation structure have also been investigated. In this paper, a new approach based on the Spherical Simplex-Radial Cubature Kalman Filter (SSRCKF) algorithm is presented to improve the accuracy of SOC estimation. The superiority of the proposed approach has been proved through the Worldwide harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure, which came into effect last year in the European Union. In addition, noise are added to the measured data of current and voltage to verify the its anti-interference ability. In order to present protection processes accurately and realize hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation, this paper proposes a modeling method of HVDC circuit breakers for small time-step real-time simulation. After using the transmission line modeling method(TLM) to solve the arrester and constant impedance model of the switch, the admittance matrix of the HVDC breaker will keep constant, which reduces computing time greatly. A simplified HVDC breaker is used to interpret the modeling method. This paper proposes a method for the calculation of the optimal charging and V2G decision through aggregator with consideration of the trade-off between EV users' charging willingness and cost, and trade-off between the capacity loss and revenue due to V2G. Following this optimal decision, EV users' charging/V2G capacity can be well predicted in advance. However, if EV users' order at aggregators can be 100% fulfilled depends on the facility level and technology of aggregators. Moreover, the aggregators' DR capability is also affected by the sitting of aggregator because of the driving behavior of EVs. In this paper, aggregator's DR capacity is studied under multiple scenarios with different facility conditions, different technologies (V2V) through a test case including 2 aggregators in business area and residential area respectively. Along the increasing of the no. of charging/discharging piles, aggregators' DR capability is increasing. There is an upper limit on its facility level due to the size of the EVs users group, above which, investment on piles is unnecessary. In this paper, specific models of variable frequency motor and the traditional asynchronous motor were built based on the MATLAB/Simulink simulation platform, and on that basis, we compared and analyzed the influence of voltage sag on their respective load characteristics, and their tolerance of voltage sag. During simulation of the load characteristics of variable frequency motor, the magnitude of voltage sag was used as the control variable to obtain and analyze the active power and reactive power curves under different voltages levels. Then, the grid system model was built to study the stability of power system under two different loads of variable frequency motor and asynchronous motor respectively, and discuss the influence of variable frequency motor on the security and stability of power grid. The simulation results show that under voltage sag, the active power and reactive power demands of variable frequency motor and asynchronous motor were different; after the voltage was recovered from the voltage sag, the active power demand of variable frequency motor was significantly higher than that of asynchronous motor.
