In automated driving applications, this diversity aims, for example, to reduce the susceptibility of sensors to inclement weather. Fusion combines data from sensors and creates a generic representation of the vehicle's surroundings – which is known as environment model. Based on this, a safe trajectory can be planned and driving functions can actuate accordingly. In this paper, a high-level fusion algorithm is implemented. Its aim is to combine different object lists generated at the sensor-level into a unique global object list. This software is implemented in Python in a ROS workspace and is published as open-source code on GitHub1. It was verified that the algorithm can successfully fuse data acquired from simulation-based test drives with sensor models, and create a global object list based on the detections at the sensor-level.","PeriodicalId":260581,"journal":{"name":"2022 10th International Conference in Software Engineering Research and Innovation (CONISOFT)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116579340","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A disrupted shift from face-to-face teaching-learning practices to learning activities and/or pedagogical activities supported by digital platforms or social networks was lived. Limitations in Internet access and mastering of technological media impacted the pedagogical, psychological, and affective side of the students. This paper presents a study on the changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in terms of school dropout; an analysis was carried out on the percentages of the indicator of non-enrollment of each one of the educational programs at a Mexican university. The results showed that educational programs with an ICT orientation beat this contingency in a better way. This encourages us to continue this research to investigate how new professionals are getting ready for the fashion of working from home.","PeriodicalId":260581,"journal":{"name":"2022 10th International Conference in Software Engineering Research and Innovation (CONISOFT)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116728469","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So teamwork is necessary for stroke care and recovery. Mainly, the recovery process involves treating all the illnesses derived from the stroke. Hence, communication, collaboration, and monitoring of the rehabilitation process along with an integral treatment must be provided. Nevertheless, these elements are not well established in hospitals where a high rotation of physicians and nurses along with a lack of monitoring of the rehabilitation process affects the patients' recovery. Therefore, this article presents an exploratory study to understand the interactions of people who have suffered a stroke with a multidisciplinary team. Besides, we describe a conceptual model to improve the collaborative activities of professionals involved in rehabilitating people who have suffered strokes. We focus on improving the rehabilitation process according to a workflow that contemplates the development of communications channels considering collaboration, cooperation, and human-computer interactions. Also, we describe a mockup design that represents the prototype based on the proposed workflow.","PeriodicalId":260581,"journal":{"name":"2022 10th International Conference in Software Engineering Research and Innovation (CONISOFT)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122005926","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Software systems with a microservices architecture are relatively new; the study of technical debt in the context of Microservices Architecture has not been thoroughly addressed in the literature, so the characteristics of technical debt in these systems are not known. This study aims to describe the characteristics of technical debt in systems with microservices architecture as identified in the literature. Through a systematic mapping study, 12 primary studies were identified and analyzed. We found eight types of technical debt and one type of technical debt unique to microservices-based systems. Architecture Debt and Code Debt stand out as the most frequently reported types of debt in the literature among the eight types. Design and implementation activities were also identified as those with the highest number of cases of technical debt, followed by migration activities where technical debt also arises as a result of migrating from a monolithic system to a system with microservices. With this work it is expected that software engineers know the technical debt present in systems based on microservices in order to modify their management practices for the development of said systems. In addition, areas of opportunity have been identified to deepen the study of this type of technical debt.","PeriodicalId":260581,"journal":{"name":"2022 10th International Conference in Software Engineering Research and Innovation (CONISOFT)","volume":"373 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132774761","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Reading comprehension is a cognitive process and therefore data collection about this process is a challenge. Think-aloud is a technique that has been used in the past to collect data of cognitive processes by asking participants to verbalise their thinking while executing the task of interest. The aim of this work is to evaluate the use of think aloud as a requirement gathering technique for understanding the reading comprehension cognitive process of technical and scientific texts, focusing on understanding the workflow of activities that Engineering students follow, the challenges they face, and the way information technologies can assist this process. Eleven engineering students participated in an experimental session that was designed to collect data using smartpens, computers with built-in cameras, and video screen-capture. Preliminary results are presented in this paper.","PeriodicalId":260581,"journal":{"name":"2022 10th International Conference in Software Engineering Research and Innovation (CONISOFT)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114825962","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
