The network model has been developed in PSCAD software. The designed system includes low voltage network, single phase voltage source inverter (VSI) to control active (P) and reactive power (Q) flow to the grid and PV panel as the main source of energy. In order to control PV active power output and maintain the reactive power to zero value, a typical control scheme (PQ control) has been used. A hybrid of metaheuristic Artificial Neural Network (ANN) technique with Bat Algorithm (BA), a bio-inspired algorithm is proposed to forecast future electricity production and water consumption at Sultan Azlan Shah Hydropower Dam located upstream of Perak river. In this study, both the ANN and Hybrid ANN-Bat Algorithm coding was designed and written explicitly to tailor the time series input data and assumptions used in this study. Comparison on results obtained from ANN and the proposed hybrid ANN — BA was conducted. Long transmission line and load growth can makes voltage regulation a concern. Distribution STATic COMpensator (DSTATCOM) as a voltage support equipment in SWER system with ability of injecting or absorbing reactive power is proposed. In this paper the placement of DSTATCOM in terms of voltage support effectiveness is studied. Particularly, the voltage boost due to installing DSTATCOM at the network side in transmission level or customer side in distribution level is analyzed. In this paper, we develop a theoretical framework to study the optimal planning for a microgrid system, considering the renewable energy target. We model the renewable energy target as a planning and operational constraint. Then we develop a two-stage stochastic programming problem to minimize the overall cost of the microgrid. In Stage-1, the microgrid planner determines the optimal investment in renewable energy generations, e.g., from solar energy and wind energy. In Stage-2, the microgrid operator coordinates the energy supply and demand to minimize the daily operational cost. With realistic data, we numerically show the optimal investment in the capacities of solar energy and wind energy with respect to the renewable energy target. More specifically, this paper focuses on the development and construction of an efficient DC powered house by economising the losses in the conductor, cable length and total cost of the system. Also to verify that both the cost and losses can be minimised in solar power DC system with respect to conventional type solar powered AC system. In this present work, simulation and hardware implementation are done for both AC and DC powered houses. Linear motor is a device that produces linear motion without using any mechanical transmission to convert from rotary motion to linear motion. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the effect of slot-width in slot-type linear motor. The force needs to be maintained for used in food processing application. Besides that, the slot-width is adjusted to obtain long displacement for the mover to move. Ansys Maxwell software is used to simulate the performance for this innovation. The variable parameters are the height of slot pole shoe, gap between coils, number of turns and height of coil. This investigation can give an idea to design the new device that requires compression method. The new device will help to overcome and solve the weakness of the conventional compression method. The telecommunication applications in haptic is to separate between master and slave control in various distances. This purpose is commonly used in medical surgery between different countries or buildings. This technology helps to analyse medical disease and remote human life. In addition, this paper first reviews about Wi-Fi offloading technique comparison between cellular network and Wi-Fi network to achieve ideal connectivity within long range distance. Mobile Node (MN) are the main factor in wireless communication to obtain minimum time delay are also been reviewed in this paper. Apart with telecommunication studies, there are several parameter need to be control comparatively noise ratio, signal strength and signal power was put forward in this paper. Secondly, the implementation of Disturbance Observer between master and slave control and receive the tactile feedback in various fields. A condition is presented to guarantee the bounded synchronization of reduced system with an arbitrary topology so that the original system is transiently stable. With the recent reduction in the price of high performance magnet, it is made possible to construct a high efficiency compact generator. The problem with the compact generator is the temperature management. Too high magnet temperature could lead to irreversible demagnetization of the permanent magnet material. This paper proposes a method to formulate an empirical model based on the simulation data. Ansys Fluent software is used to simulate the heating and the cooling effects inside the generator. Design of Experiment is used to plan the experimental run so that the results are sufficient enough to formulate a linear or a nonlinear model. This paper present an advanced current control method for GCI of distributed generators (DGs), which responsible for the DG to controlling the power injection to the grid and the cancellation of the harmonics in Microgrid (MG) and between MG and Power Common Coupling (PCC). The current harmonics in the grid and MG are compensated without using dedicated compensation devices, such as active power filters (APFs), by the proposed current controller which is contain an advanced synchronous reference frame (ASRF) controllers. The merged control methods are proposed for the interface inverter to perform the comprehensive activity of compensating for the harmonics, such as a correction of the system imbalance and the removal of the harmonics.
