The central theme of the miracles is that they were caused by the Franciscans. The narrator joins the miracle stories to each other, without putting them against each other. The auditor interrupts him sometimes with questions that relate to the theological or doctrinal aspects of the miracles. Many aspects are discussed, for example, the importance of the water that flows from the grave of a deceased friar; the reason why some people are born sick or deformed; and the way the devil dominates the possessed. The narrator bases his statements, especially on the Bible. Sometimes his designs are completed with a speech by the auditor, who asks him to tell more. In other cases, the narrator switches to the interpretation of the narrative. All these dialogues have some common features: weak development, lack of characterization of the figures, absence of an action, and the preferences for dialogues. This chapter discusses the cross-cutting features that some texts have. The conversations embedded in these texts have allegorical fiction. The chapter discusses five allegorical scenes, which are integrated into longer texts. They use people as a form of language representation. The dramatic allegories set in the medieval Latin literature require different texts because of their didactic value. The chapter also presents allegorical poems that represent the hassle of daughters of God or the struggle of the virtues and vices in people language. The original test of this chapter is in German.
