It was decided to describe ways to combat this phenomenon using the example of Poland. Research Aim: The goal of study was to submit a short report on the general situation in the field of human trafficking in selected countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Evidence-based Facts: Central and Eastern Europe is the origin, transfer, and destination for victims of human trafficking. While in Bulgaria or Romania sexual exploitation is predominant among the victims identified, forced labour is predominant in Poland. Summary: Help for victims of human trafficking is largely based on the activities of non-overnmental organizations, and the state is left only to prosecute this crime. Nowadays, it is implemented in unlimited digital space, however, with limited freedom in physical space. The resonance of changes is visible in many areas of children's lives and affects the way of their functioning. Research Aim: The aim of the research was to show the aspects of experiencing childhood in a physical-digital world. The category of \"experiencing\" referred to the ways in which children function in interpenetrating offline and online spaces and to the emotions associated with it. Method: The method of collecting research material was focused group interviews, conducted among nineteen children aged 8-10. The method of data analysis was thematic analysis. Results: On the basis of the analysis, a map of themes and semantic codes was selected. The primary theme was \"hybrid childhood\", which included subtopics related to children's experience of modern childhood. The secondary topic was \"intensive parenting\", which referred to children's emotions aroused by their disagreement with adults imposing on them visions of their own childhood. Conclusions: Children naturally enter the existing reality and move freely between traditional and network playgrounds, although they definitely notice the differences between them. Experiencing a hybrid childhood in the times of intensive parenthood is assosiated with the fact that children do not agree with the unjustified limits and restrictions related to being in the network imposed on them by parents, as adults do not adhere them themselves. Children express the need for autonomy and participation in making decisions about themselves. A key issue is becoming the requirement for the teacher to acquire knowledge about the organisation of the school process that ensures the most effective realisation of goals, tasks and functions. Solutions are sought in this area that include harmonizing the teacher’s natural organisational skills with his/her knowledge dependent on his/her talents, pedagogical experience exploited in complex educational forms and situations. Research Aim: The aim of the research was combined with the recognition of the teacher’s involvement in the professional activity necessary in the organisational activities emblematic of the forms of school and non-school reality discussed. A deductive method of data analysis combining with the selection of selected sources was used, focusing on descriptive and new implementation. Evidence-based Facts: The exploration carried out revealed that the considered forms of education function independently as well as interpenetrate each other, creating a common ground for the emergence of teacher empowerment, which is the impulse for the emergence of a new personal-team structure in the educational process. How they cope with such problems may determine their future and, thus, optimise or destroy their existence. Research Aim: The purpose of the research presented in this article was to identify the types of skills necessary to overcome life’s obstacles in the biographies of those individuals pursuing supra-personal tasks who were able to face life’s problems. Method: The qualitative paradigm approach was used. Data were extracted from an in-depth narrative interview, thus it was possible to understand the elements of the reality of the interviewed individuals related to their skills in overcoming life’s obstacles. Results: The conducted research shows that the skills of overcoming life’s obstacles identified in the participants were related to the existence of such traits as resilience, optimism, self-reliance and entrepreneurship. Conclusions: Possessing skills related to such qualities as resilience, optimism, self-reliance and entrepreneurship can make it easier for one to overcome obstacles and pursue one’s goals, while strengthening one’s self-esteem and self-confidence. The assumption of the responsibility for the committed act is the basis for participation in mediation, one important aspect of which is redress. Therefore, it is essential to identify determinants of readiness for redress so as to be able to design social rehabilitation programmes aimed at the development of a sense of self-efficacy. One of these factors, which is subject to empirical verification, is a sense of self-efficacy. Research Aim: The aim of research consists in analysing the relationship between readiness for redress and a sense of self-efficacy of the persons who committed violent offences. Research Method: In author’s own research the diagnostic survey method was used in addition to the following tools: Readiness for Restitution Scale and Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale. Results: It was found that there is a positive correlation between the readiness for undertaking corrective measures and a sense of self-efficacy of the persons serving the penalty of deprivation of liberty for the committed violent offences. A sense of self-efficacy explains variance in the readiness for redress. Nonetheless, factors other than self-efficacy make a greater contribution into explaining the variance in the dependent variable. Conclusions: The conducted research is of an exploratory nature and needs to be repeated on a larger sample of prisoners. However, the obtained results already allow to draw the conclusion that by developing one of these variables – readiness for redress or a sense of self-efficacy, the level of the other one increases at the same time. Research Aim The aim of the present study is to verify whether sociodemographic and professional variables significantly differentiate teachers' levels of resilience. Method The study included 752 teachers of different stages of education. To measure resilience, the Teachers' Resilience Scale by M. Platsidou and A. Danilidou in the Polish adaptation by M. Boczkowska was used. Results The teachers studied recorded the highest mean scores on the Family cohesion factor, while the lowest on the Social competence and peer support factor. The analyses showed that sociodemographic variables (gender, age, place of residence and marital status) significantly differentiate the participants' level of resilience (total score and/or scores on individual subscales). Also, professional variables (place of work, length of service, level of professional promotion) are factors that significantly differentiate the resilience of the teachers studied. This phenomenon is perceived in many different planes and perspectives. The article adopts the understanding of narcissism in the NARC model – Narcissistic Admiration and Rivalry Concept. Research Aim: The aim of the research was to check how narcissism (as defined by the NARC model), in the form of competition and admiration strategies, is associated with difficulties in psychosocial functioning and behavior of young adults. Method: The following study used: the NARQ-PL questionnaire in the Polish adaptation of Rogoz et al. (2016) and a questionnaire of their own authorship. Results: The obtained research results and statistical analyzes confirm that there is a relationship between narcissistic rivalry and selected behavioral difficulties in young adults. They have had to recognize and interpret these changes and engage in various new activities to cope with the extraordinary challenges. Purpose of the study: The aim of this study was to describe and understand how early primary school students experienced changes in the crisis situation within their home environment and remote education, as well as how they adapted to these unusual conditions. Methodology: The research employed a qualitative approach rooted in the paradigms of social constructivism and symbolic interactionism. The primary research method used was focused group interviews (focus groups) conducted with groups of students from both first and third grades in schools in Warsaw. Results: The results indicate that children experienced social isolation as a strong, multidimensional pressure that triggered negative emotions, a sense of confinement, inaction, and emptiness. In response to remote learning at home, they developed new routines, constructed workspaces, asserted their privacy, and valued the nurturing functions of their homes. They perceived remote learning as lacking in personal relationships, agency, a sense of learning, tiring, and dull, which led to their passive participation. Consequently, they expressed resistance and creatively sought ways to endure the school time with their peers in the \"virtual courtyard.\" Conclusions: Analysis of children's discourse unequivocally reflects a negative assessment of emergency online education. It led to the depersonalization of the child, a sense of invisibility, voicelessness, and passivity during lessons, as well as a lack of personal learning experiences. Thus, foreign language teachers have to obtain a great deal of competences, among which some researchers point to the skills and knowledge from the specialist field. Research aim: The objective of the article consists in analysing if foreign language teachers are sufficiently prepared to teach English for Specific Purposes (ESP) to students of higher education institutions. Evidence-based Facts: The graduates of philology are fully unprepared to teach ESP, while graduates of applied linguistics are partially prepared to undertake such tasks. The main problem with teaching ESP lies, however, in the lack of appropriate didactic materials. Thus, foreign language teachers are left with no other choice than to create their own materials, apply creative teaching methods (e.g. presentations prepared by the students), or to search for the materials loosely connected with a given discipline. The aim of the article is to show the ways in which Polish-Italian families living in Kraków construct bicultural educational and parenting environments for their children. Research Aim: Research aim was to analyse and interpret the subjective experiences of Polish mothers raising preschool children with partners of Italian nationality. Method: The research project was embedded in a qualitative research orientation, adopting its methodological assumptions. The data was collected during individual, in-depth, semi-structured interviews conducted with 10 women. Results: Following the analysis and interpretation of the women’s narratives, four models of upbringing strategies created by Polish-Italian families were proposed to be distinguished. These are: a culturally engaged family, a cosmopolitan (European) family, a culturally passive family, a family of unfulfilled expectations and aspirations.
