In doing so, the study discusses the forms of violence being practiced against women and the legal actions that need to be taken in order to put an end to violence. A total of 50 female students participated in this pilot study, which adopted a descriptive research approach using an online questionnaire to collect data. Using SPSS descriptive statistics, data were analyzed to answer the research questions. The results showed that the participants agreed that social media affects people's mindset about women and impacts governments to enact penal laws on violence, while less than half of the participants agreed that it increases violence against women. The results also showed the participants' confidence that by taking specific actions on social media, they can draw attention to violence, and that certain challenges act as barriers to constraining violence.","PeriodicalId":256713,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"224 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121101911","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of robot has been a course of debate for a long time. Still, the development of robots hasn't stopped because of its wide range of applications on a global scale. Robots are designed and classified in different categories. This paper is a work that explains the design, modelling, and control of a biped-line walking robot. The main objective of this paper is to highlight a few results based on the control system and modelling of a biped-line walking robot. The hip joint of the biped-line robot is usually exposed to a lot of drive torque. This drive torque can be minimized by concentrating the centroid of the robot to the axis of hip joint. The paper describes the mechanical structure of the robot. The robot works on a line walking cycle which consist of both a single support phase and double support phase. The movement of the robots are patterned and deduced to understand the locomotion of the line walking robot.","PeriodicalId":256713,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121687616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The hacking community's reaction has shifted to a more subtle - and more challenging to detect - form of attacks, that of discovering and exploiting underlying application business logic. The lack of accurate business rules defining the final application product extends its logical vulnerability surface. We propose a novel black-box approach for discovering authorization business rules in web applications through users' dynamic behavior. Allowing applications that lack formal specifications to be better tested for logic vulnerabilities. Our approach discovers groups using agglomerative hierarchical clustering based on different profiling techniques that capture users' actions and privileges. We also automated the process of identifying the optimal number of roles. The results indicated high quality and stability in discovering business rules, even in smaller datasets.","PeriodicalId":256713,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131554675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, when it comes to communication, they offer even advanced technological support to upgrade operations. In this regard, this article examines the role of an Artificial Intelligence-based system in facilitating organizational communication in the UAE. The research selected a sample of n= 30 from corporate sector organizations currently working countrywide. The paper proposes a conceptual model supported by the Two-way Communication Model of communication and Public Relations. Results revealed that incorporating Artificial Intelligence has a significant effect on Organizational Communication (p>. 000) and Organizational Members (p>. 000). Besides, Organizational Communication is also affecting Organizational Members in a significant manner (p>. 000). However, the indirect effects of Two-way Communication on Organizational Communication (p>. 000) and Organizational Members (p> .003) also remained significant. Overall, the results indicate that Artificial Intelligence, accompanied by Two-way Communication, is widely contributing to creating and sustaining communication among the organizational members. Consequently, members feel confident that their voice is shared and heard by the other members, especially the stakeholders and the policymakers. Thus, it is concluded that Artificial Intelligence facilitates communication at many levels. Both vertical and horizontal level communication is possible and even improved by Artificial Intelligence. Existing literature on communication and Artificial Intelligence also witness the role of AI in facilitating communication. Besides, the relevant literature also witnessed AI being equipped with two-way communication, as affirmed by the current research.","PeriodicalId":256713,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125677609","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To address this goal, we administered an electronic questionnaire to gather data on the technical, pedagogical, and social and physical environment challenges faced by the students. A random sample of 200 members was selected from the online student community, representing 5% of the whole (with a 60/40% female/male split). An analytical descriptive approach was used to assess the results. The main findings were that numerous distractions at home reduced the students' concentration during distance learning, and most faced technical problems with taking electronic exams and studying the curriculum. Students also found that the teaching methods did not suit the process of distance learning. More positively, they also believed that distance learning increased their ability to interact and participate because the barrier of fear was eliminated. These findings suggest several courses of action for modifying course descriptions and curricula to make strategies of teaching and evaluation more suited to distance learning. Such descriptions were designed for face-to-face learning and therefore changes are needed to cope with the requirements of increased amounts of distance learning and teaching.","PeriodicalId":256713,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121208282","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A fusion of artificial intelligence advances is utilized to blur boundaries between the biological, physical, and digital worlds. Firms are redesigning their supply chains to attain high levels of operational effectiveness. Supply chain activities are crucial for the success of manufacturing firms. Blockchain is a promising technology for managing the supply chain efficiently. Blockchain is an immutable, distributed ledger to record transactions digitally. A smart contract is a coded agreement between two parties that executes an exchange automatically in the absence of trusted authorities. This study aimed to explore the prospects of utilizing blockchain and smart contracts as empowering technologies for food supply chain management. The study used a case study approach. Blockchain has the potential to play a vital role in almost every aspect of the future. Implementing blockchain in the supply chain will enhance the transparency, traceability, and flow of goods and services across the supply chain. Additionally, a blockchain-based smart contract will facilitate, validate and impose negotiation and execution agreements among multiple parties in real-time, enhancing the collaboration and quality of management. Carrefour UAE successfully joined IBM Food Trust. Carrefour's initiative came after growing customers' concerns about product provenance and ethical sourcing. The Carrefour initiative helped to resolve the problem of trust in the food supply. Improvements in the supply chain are expected to happen, including enhanced efficiency, traceability, reduced execution risk, low cost, etc.","PeriodicalId":256713,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127448265","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
