Circularly polarized lasing by optical pumping was demonstrated. The produced damage was investigated using polyacrylamid gel electrophoresis. The intensity of cleavage in particular phosphodiester bond after hot alkali treatment of irradiated samples was shown to depend on base pair sequence.
