Despite a growing body of research, comprehensive models on usage intention especially in a commercial context have been under-researched. This research in progress explores antecedents of attitude and usage intention of voice-activated assistants through multiple theoretical lenses, including the Technology Acceptance Model, the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, Social Exchange Theory, and privacy concerns. The result is a conceptual framework consisting of six propositions on the impact of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, social influence, trust, and privacy concerns on attitude towards voice-activated assistants and their usage intention.","PeriodicalId":254527,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 19th International Conference on WWW/Internet","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125882208","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Meanwhile, web service discovery, as a crucial component to guarantee the quality of Web service composition in SBS, gained increasing attention. Web service discovery aims to select the set of best service candidates according to the service requester’s requirements. Existing syntactic and semantic-based approaches are proven to have low recall and precision or expecting high level of expertise from the service requesters. In this paper, we propose an approach for Web service discovery based on chatbots which obtains the best suited set of services to address the goals of service requesters. Chatbot-based interfaces are the emerging trend to provide a more natural human-device interaction. Compared to the existing web service discovery techniques, our approach alleviates the need for service requesters to have prior knowledge about the service location or its structure and enables them to identify services by leveraging natural language. We evaluated the approach through the collection of 56 queries from the test subject group on our repository of existing web service descriptions and report on quality metrics. The results shows high precision and recall.","PeriodicalId":254527,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 19th International Conference on WWW/Internet","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128051263","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The question of particular interest in this context was whether a new service (Swiss Loyalty Scheme), which will also enable the peer-to-peer (P2P) exchange of loyalty points between users, should be based on Blockchain technology (BCT), and whether this technology meets both the app users’ and the merchants’ requirements. A comparison of the different implementation possibilities of a BCT-based SLS solution with the qualitative survey results and the conditions the surveyed merchants have for the SLS that can be derived from these results shows that there is limited room for maneuver in the implementation or that due to this even the advantages of BCT disappear.","PeriodicalId":254527,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 19th International Conference on WWW/Internet","volume":"920 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116186292","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, many researches have proposed improvements in different aspects of its functionality, mainly in hardware and firmware. This transition has released the previous SSDs bandwidth limitations. Cheaper and denser SSDs have facilitated their adoption to replace HDDs. With the introduction of the Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe), the performance enhancement revealed a new trend: the bottleneck is now at the main processor, and no longer at the storage. A PCIe switch is employed for any given computer system that uses more than one SSD at a time, but not without its limitations. NVMe commands contain essential information inside each field, which might be needed to define the destination SSD. In other words: a PCIe packet is not an NVMe command. This paper proposes an NVMe switch architecture to be applied in bridging and switching of SSD devices used in databases and web servers. With this approach, the flexible architecture is able to decide how the data is going to be stored based on specific NVMe command fields. The architecture main purpose is to provide a solution for decision criteria based on the contents of one or more NVMe fields. Therefore, an external device or even the host is able to reconfigure switching criteria at run-time. This fact increases control over SSDs. The proposed architecture is flexible and expandable in terms of functionality. Xilinx Vivado Simulator 2019 was used to design and validate the architecture in VHDL.","PeriodicalId":254527,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 19th International Conference on WWW/Internet","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133564065","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to evaluate the state of health we suggest the use of the Health Index. It will allow us to measure the level of Health of each person in each moment. This Health Index is negatively affected by the under and overuse of the Digital. In order to best benefit from the Digital, we have to understand how much the right amount of Digital is, which maximizes the Health Index of the individual. To do this we have to understand the extremes of “too little” and “too much” Digital. In what concerns the use of \"too much\" Digital, we divide this topic in four areas, and we present evidence regarding the existence of each of those areas.","PeriodicalId":254527,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 19th International Conference on WWW/Internet","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129239023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These developments have even affected domains that traditionally operate without the help of Information and Communication technologies (ICT) but now see an increase in digitization of their processes. Healthcare is one of those domains that is being revolutionized via the emergence of the e-health and m-health paradigms as well as the automation of medical processes, robotics, and Internet of Things (IoT) medical devices and sensors. These developments, apart from modernizing healthcare and providing quality-of-life solutions to both healthcare practitioners and patients, have also led to an increase in the availability of digital medical data, which are nowadays being structured in Electronic Health Records (EHRs). EHRs contain various health data about a patient and are the basis for the development and implementation of various innovative solutions in healthcare. Such solutions mainly aim to address some of the current shortcomings of EHRs such as the centralized storage, which makes them vulnerable to mass hacker attacks as well as the lack of interoperability among various medical standards that are used to structure EHRs, which makes it hard to manage and share them across different healthcare providers. The scope of this publication is to introduce blockchain technology as a potential solution to the aforementioned challenges and present a novel methodology and architecture that have been developed to be implemented in a healthcare application. The methodology presented in this paper leverages both blockchain and centralized databases, making it a hybrid approach but aims to set the basis for developing blockchain-powered healthcare solutions for data management. Under that context and the need to combine blockchain with centralized databases, the security parameters of the system are also tailored to work specifically with that kind of approach. The end-goal of the methodology and architecture presented in this publication is to give patients ownership of their data, help them manage and share them as they see fit, while at the same time keeping in mind that large healthcare providers must have access to the same information in a secure manner for the well-being of their patients. It is considered that this hybrid approach offers a well-tailored solution for both stakeholders.","PeriodicalId":254527,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 19th International Conference on WWW/Internet","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131813619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
