However, there are few studies conducted in China where driving patterns tend to be quite different. This paper uses crash fatality data from China for the year 2016 to examine the likelihood of crash involvement given driving experience. Driver behaviors contributing to crashes are investigated and compared among drivers' groups with more or less driving experience. The results reveal that the least experienced drivers have the highest crash rate, a crash rate that is approximately twice that of the crash rate of experienced drivers (> 3 years). Regarding fatal crashes, failing to yield and speeding are the most common risky behaviors by all drivers, no matter how experienced they are. The novice drivers' group has the largest crash number, but the proportions of risky behaviors for the groups with different driving experience are similar. A significantly large proportion of drivers with less than one year's driving experience are related to alcohol impairment and reversely driving. The conclusions may provide some implications for the related crash prevention and safety guidance for novice drivers.","PeriodicalId":253824,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Transportation Information and Safety (ICTIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130616345","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The development and maturity of connected and automated vehicle (CA V) technology provides a hardware basis for intelligent intersection control. By integrating vehicle trajectory control and intersection signal control into a single process, delays and emissions can be optimized simultaneously to achieve maximum benefits. This paper proposes a two-stage optimization model with signal optimization and vehicle trajectory control for signalized intersections. The signal optimization problem is modeled as a dynamic programming problem with the goal of minimizing vehicle delay. Optimal control theory is used to solve the vehicle trajectory control problem with the goal of minimizing fuel consumption and emissions. This paper also considers different levels of CA V market penetration in mixed traffic scenarios. Simulation results show that the proposed optimization model, compared to fixed-time and adaptive signal control, can reduce both vehicle delay and emissions by up to 20.9% and 13.4% under a variety of demand levels. In mixed traffic scenarios, system performance improves as market penetration increases. Even if CA V penetration is low, there are significant benefits in decreasing emissions.","PeriodicalId":253824,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Transportation Information and Safety (ICTIS)","volume":"387 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134455898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the load of ship main engine will change under different sailing conditions, leading to changes in the temperature and mass flow of flue gas from the main engine, which makes the overall operating state of the S-CO2 Brayton cycle power generation system change. Reasonable control of turbine inlet temperature, compressor inlet temperature, compressor inlet pressure and flow split ratio is an effective way to ensure a good performance of the S-CO2 Brayton cycle under different states of flue gas. To determine the control objects and controlled parameters of the S-CO2 Brayton cycle under unsteady heat source, the mathematical model of the core components of the system, such as heat exchanger, turbine and compressor, and the steady-state simulation program of the S-CO2 recompression Brayton cycle were established in this paper. Based on analyzing the influence of key thermodynamic parameters on the performance of S-CO2 Brayton cycle, taking maximizing the output power of the system as the objective of optimization, the optimal operating key parameters of the S-CO2 Brayton cycle system under different main engine conditions are determined, which provides a numerical basis for the operation control of marine S-CO2 Brayton cycle power generation system.","PeriodicalId":253824,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Transportation Information and Safety (ICTIS)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132697342","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Berth resources are scarce resources in ports and terminals. For incoming ships, reasonable allocation of berth resources can shorten the ship's port time, speed up the overall operational efficiency of the terminal, and enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of the port. At present, the allocation of berth resources mostly relies on the experience of the port center dispatchers, and there will inevitably that there will be phenomena such as waiting for available berths, waiting for ships, and ship scheduling errors and conflicts. Aiming at the problem of the low efficiency of berth scheduling at the terminal, an optimization model of berth allocation was established. To minimize the total ship in port time, the multi-objective Lion Swarm Optimization algorithm was used to solve the model. Taking the berth allocation problem of a bulk cargo port as an example, the total time of ships in the port after the algorithm optimization is greatly shortened, and a relatively better scheduling plan can be given. A satisfactory application effect can be obtained in the optimization of the ship scheduling, and it can provide the optimization of port berth allocation a new method.","PeriodicalId":253824,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Transportation Information and Safety (ICTIS)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116279207","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Damage detection is performed on a non-metal hollow cylinder (110 mm of outer diameter and 3.2 mm of wall thickness). A pair of MFC sensors are arranged on the surface of the cylinder to excite and receive the helical guided waves, and the non-metal sheath of the RDT motor damage monitoring model is established. The space expansion method is used to complete the tracking of the helical guided wave packet and determine the propagation order of the helical guided wave. U sing the short-time wavelet entropy (STWE) algorithm to complete the calculation of the energy entropy of the damage signal, and compare the energy entropy in the non-destructive state to finish the damage identification. The experimental results show that by arranging the sensor in a certain area outside the cylindrical structure to be detected to excite the spiral guided wave, the damage identification of the difficult-to-detect area and the small damage can be realized.","PeriodicalId":253824,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Transportation Information and Safety (ICTIS)","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134609428","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve the objectives, a Bayesian multilevel parametric survival model was developed, in which the survival model addressed the pedestrian severity levels varying with time, while the panel data model accommodated the heterogeneity attributed to unobserved factors and spatial features within the Bayesian framework. The pedestrian-related crash data of Hong Kong metropolitan area from 2008 to 2012 were integrated, involving 376 signalized intersections with 2,090 pedestrian severity samples. By comparing the proportional hazard (PH) and accelerated failure time (AFT) models, the PH model with exponential distribution showed priority to the other models. Results revealed that pedestrian age, injury location, pedestrian special circumstance, pedestrian contributory, number of pedestrian stream, obstruction, road type, presence of tram/LRT stops and bus stops were potentially significant factors of increasing the pedestrian injury severity probability. The findings provide useful insights for practitioners and policy makers to improve pedestrian safety at signalized intersections.","PeriodicalId":253824,"journal":{"name":"2021 6th International Conference on Transportation Information and Safety (ICTIS)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116413225","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the first level of hierarchy, the MASS navigational situation is adaptively learnt from the ontology theory and the Protégé logical language in terms of entities and attributes. In the second level of hierarchy, path planning skills are learnt by combining with deep Q-learning, the environment model, ship behavior space, reward function and exploration and utilization strategy. Specifically, the reward function consists of safety and navigational task. Finally, the simulations are built in the Python and 2D-Pygame platform, with Tianjin Port of China as a case study.
