For this purpose, four different linear convolution neural network architectures are constructed. The first architecture includes 4 convolution layers with 3×3 convolution window dimensions. The second architecture includes 4 convolution layers with 5×5 convolution window dimensions. The third architecture includes 4 convolution layers with 7×7 convolution window dimensions. The fourth architecture includes 4 convolution layers with 9×9 convolution window dimensions. A dataset consisting of histopathological image patches is used to test the CNN architects that are created. 2000 training images and 250 validation images on dataset are applied to all architectures with the same order, in order to fair assessment. In conclusion, the effect of convolution dimensions on classification of histopathological images by deep learning methods is determined. The test results of four different linear convolutional neural network architectures are evaluated using sensitivity, specificity and accuracy parameters.","PeriodicalId":253583,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"204 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115719702","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The turbo blowers are high-speed pneumatic bladed machines, used for raising the pressure of gas. The turbo blower can be driven with a three-phase asynchronous motor or with a gas engine turbine. The power engine computation program for the turbo blower was realized in Mathcad. The present paper adds novelty by the 3D graphic analysis for the dimensioning of a driving motor of a turbo blower through the program elaborated.","PeriodicalId":253583,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116470782","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a model, built in Matlab environment, for a standalone system consisting of a PV array and an electrochemical storage component. Sizing of the elements aimed capturing all the energy generated by the PV panels and being able to meet the load at any time, still considering technical-economic aspects. After having established the general outline, the system was modeled using Simscape/SimpowerSystems blocks to observe the dynamic interaction between the generating component, the storage one and the load. Four types of batteries were used and differences concerning dynamic behavior were discussed.1","PeriodicalId":253583,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"370 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116539681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, continuous assessment of the electrical condition of electrical machines has become increasingly important. Investigations to predict battery life are of the utmost importance for Electric Vehicles (EVs). The evaluation of the instantaneous State-of-Health (SoH) of the battery cell packs requires a precise measurement system that encompasses the especially important specifications related to the operating conditions. In addition modern Battery Management Systems (BMS) rely on empirical battery models whose parametrization is crucial from the reliability’s point of view. The model parameters are necessary to be indentified via the appropriate measurement data. To address these considerations, this paper presents a new test system for Li-ion batteries and control software based on LabView, which is capable of conducting high quality and completely automated battery cell measurements defined by user input test vectors and test suites. The test system allows conducting also real time condition monitoring in Li-ion batteries by discharge impulse responses. Finally several measurements on the experimental setup are performed. Analysis of the measured data validate that the designed device ensures high performance testing and post-processing.","PeriodicalId":253583,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116363675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This makes them even more sensitive to process variations than before. Variation is an expensive problem which can cause product delays, yield loss and redesign. Therefore, methods are needed for a quick and accurate IC yield analysis and failure root cause discovery in a cost- and time-efficient way. The paper introduces an improvement of the current Pareto chart analysis employed for yield detractors’ identification using data-driven methods. This is achieved by performing clustering prior to the Pareto chart analysis. It proved to be a simpler method, which also leads to the identification of the yield detractors in reduced time compared to the classical Pareto chart analysis..","PeriodicalId":253583,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127659795","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The global population is projected to grow more and more, reaching 9 billions by the year 2050, so IoT devices are needed in agriculture to increase crop yield and therefore feed sources. However, this solution is not exempt from challenges. Weather conditions, climate change and the environment have a great impact on farming practices. To reduce the costs and losses involved in these activities, we analyze the use of the equipment provided by Adcon Telemetry, such as solutions for plant monitoring, disease detection, frost warning, decision support, management and water quality. All data collected by Adcon equipment can be viewed on the addVANTAGE Pro platform, which can be accessed anywhere using a web browser and Internet connection, in graphical or tabular form.","PeriodicalId":253583,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121084408","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, Information and Communication systems are prone to cyber attacks and high effort is focused on detection of cyber attacks which may bring malicious data injection in the control systems. The paper shows how frequency, as a common parameter in the synchronous power systems, can be used to assess data consistency over the grid, thus being able to detect eventual intrusions through cyber-attacks, by analyzing in real-time its evolution at different levels in the grid (on-line) or by making off-line assessments on recorded data. Selected examples and their interpretations are given in the paper, to show the effectiveness of the method. Moreover, detection of grid faults has been also shown to be possible by using the same tools based on frequency measurement over the grid.","PeriodicalId":253583,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125070319","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
