To obtain complete information about the comparison of the two models, we also used the non-treatment group as the control class. This research approach is quantitative using quasi-experimental methods. The design of this study is a nonequivalent comparison group design involving 243 students of SMA Negeri 14 Maluku, Indonesia, in the 2019/2020 academic year. The results showed that there were differences in students' problem abilities with the high, medium, and low Precondition Mathematics Abilities (PMA) categories. There is an interaction effect between RME, PBL, and conventional learning models with PMA on students' mathematical problem abilities.","PeriodicalId":251100,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Mathematics and Mathematics Education (ICMMEd 2020)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129311116","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Besides the health sector, this change in behavior or activity also has a major impact on other sectors such as education, tourism, economy etc. Herd Immunity, where a group in the population is given a treatment so that their body will be resistant to the virus, becomes another alternative to end this Covid-19 pandemic. In this study, we analyzed a mathematical model of corona virus transmission by involving the herd immunity factor. There are two schemes: (1) by using vaccines and (2) by allowing the virus to spread in the population and the result is the infected population have the immunity. The simulation results show that the use of vaccines can drastically reduce the number of infected individuals. On the other hand, the absence of virus transmission control can increase the number of exposed and infected individuals. However, in terms of time, this scheme will make Covid-19 cases decrease faster than other schemes.","PeriodicalId":251100,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Mathematics and Mathematics Education (ICMMEd 2020)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133224282","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In latest situation, the last data collection by author in 5th of November 2020 14,348 died and 425,796 COVID-19 confirmed cases were recorded. Therefore, in this study the author will construct a Multivariate Markov-Chain Model to estimate the increase in COVID-19 patients for confirmed, recovered, and died cases. Multivariate Markov chain is popular model for forecasting by observing current state in various applications. This model is compatible with 3 data sequences (patient types) defined as recovered patient, confirmed, and died with 6 conditions (zero, least, less, fair, ample, and massive). As the result, this study shows transition probability matrix with 3x3 dimension where each element containing 6x6 conditions. The highest transition probability value for the increment of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia on March 11 to November 5, 2020, occurred in a transition from confirmed to confirmed patient with conditions from ample to ample, which had the highest probability value 0.8571 and the highest frequency 78 times.","PeriodicalId":251100,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Mathematics and Mathematics Education (ICMMEd 2020)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131064549","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cost value, supply, and the demand for fuzzy transport issues are taken as fuzzy numbers pentagonal. Pentagonal fuzzy numbers are converted to crisp values using functions recommended for new rankings. The purpose of this study is to compare new ranking methods with old rankings as well as Vogel’s Approximation Method (VAM) and Max Min Voge’l Approximation Method (MM-VAM) in finding optimal solutions to fuzzy transportation problems. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the new ranking method with VAM method gets the smallest transportation cost. To solve the model numerically, we apply the finite difference method. Here we use the second, fourth, and sixth-order explicit finite difference schemes. To validate our numerical models, we compare the numerical results with the existing analytical solution. Further, we conclude that the methods can best approximate the exact solution when using a small Courant number and spatial grid partition. Amongst the three finite difference methods, we observe that the fourth-order FTCS is the best method to simulate the pollutant transport phenomena.","PeriodicalId":251100,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Mathematics and Mathematics Education (ICMMEd 2020)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131229663","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
