The nature of the consequences of such contacts can be positive and negative for the languages, while the superior or inferior status of languages in contact determines which of them will suffer one or the other type of consequences. Only the languages of strong communities can overcome the negative aspects of interlanguage contacts. Ehlu-s-sunne ve-l-jama, bos. Ehli-sunna) and when it comes to religious partial fiikh (ritual) matters they have followed one of the oldest mezhep (law schools) that originated in Islam, the hanefi mezhep. Thus, for almost six centuries, Bosniaks, as indigenous European Muslims, have had their own religious tradition, which, despite going through different, often very difficult stages (wars, exile, occupation, dictatorial regimes, isolation from the Muslim world, etc.), has managed to maintain a high degree of originality and foundation in the primary sources of Islam, the Qur'an, and the Sunnah (practice) of the Prophet Muhammad, a.s.\u0000The Islamic tradition of Bosniaks is, in fact, considerable experience accumulating over a long period of time which helps the Muslims of this region to survive and preserve their religious identity despite the harsh environment and all kinds of hardship they have been exposed to. Bosniaks, as indigenous European Muslims, have one advantage over other Muslim nations: they do not view modern civilization from the side, or from afar, but live in its very center and feel fully its impulses and its nature. This means that they feel its strengths and weaknesses, but also their needs better than others. At the same time, they inherit Islam, preserve and nurture it as a treasure and study it with love and loyalty in their hearts. They have never departed from its mainstream practice, turned it into a sect, or ideologized it. Also, they have withstood the challenge of extremism, radicalization and intolerance of the other and the different. On the contrary, other religions and worldviews have always been respected within their religious tradition. This was especially demonstrated towards the followers of Christianity, both Roman Catholic and Orthodox, with whom they have always cherished good neighborly relations and treated their religion, holidays and customs with utmost respect. Bosniaks have also had a good relationship with Jewish community members. It is well known that during the Spanish Reconquista when together with Muslims Jews were expelled from their centuries-old hearths in the Iberian Peninsula, a considerable number of them found refuge and protection in the areas where Bosniaks lived. The paper presents the results of several research studies (Bazrafshan, Jahangir & Shokrpour, 2017; Cox, 2011; Pirner, 2017; Williams & Lindsey, 2005) showing the nature of the existence of religiosity as both a protective and a risk factor precipitating the emergence of behavioral disorders. The research sample consisted of 310 high school students (General High School in Zenica, Pale High School Center, Fr. Grga Martić High School in Mostar). The classes were randomly selected. In this study, the General Socio-Demographic Questionnaire and the Social Distance Scale were used.\u0000The findings could serve as a starting point for the creation of the inter-ethnic and inter-religious dialogue programs. {"title":"THE QUALITY OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF ECOLOGICAL AWARENESS THROUGH ISLAMIC EDUCATION AT SCHOOLS","authors":"Nermin Tufekčić","doi":"10.51728/issn.2637-1480.2019.17.167","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51728/issn.2637-1480.2019.17.167","url":null,"abstract":"The aim of this paper was to examine the quality of the development of ecological awareness through Islamic Education at schools, i.e. based on Islamic Education teachers' stances to determine the extent to which ecology-related content in elementary school textbooks stimulates the development of students' ecological awareness, and to examine the teachers’ attitudes towards the factors of influence and school activities promoting the development of students' ecological awareness.\u0000A theoretical analysis method and a descriptive analytical survey method were used. A survey technique was used to gather data. When it comes to research instruments, the Ecology-related Questionnaire for Teachers (UpN - Kundačina, 1998) and the Ecology Values Scale (SV-3, Kundačina, 1998) were used. Mandarić","doi":"10.51728/issn.2637-1480.2019.17.","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51728/issn.2637-1480.2019.17.","url":null,"abstract":"In the introduction the author of the article (lecture) revives the issue of the importance of dialogue and points to the growing complexity of challenges facing dialogue, and in particular interreligious dialogue, in the contemporary society. The article focuses on several important issues underlying interreligious dialogue. Thus, in the introductory part, the author emphasizes some important features of dialogue and outlines important assumptions for its functioning. She observes dialogue from the anthropological, theological and religious point of view. Further on, she identifies the specificity of religious dialogue and describes the important levels at which interreligious dialogue is realized. As the author comes from the Catholic milieu, she analyzes the starting points of interreligious dialogue from the perspective of Catholic Church. In doing so, she particularly appreciates the views and teachings on dialogue of the previous few popes: from Pope Paul VI to the current Pope Francis.\u0000The author considers culture as a place for dialogue. Therefore, she points to some of the challenges of contemporary culture in relation to dialogue. In a cultural environment, school and education in general play an important role in terms of dialogue promotion. In regard to interreligious dialogue, the privileged role in its promoting is certainly performed by religious education. She sees religious education as a link or bridge between culture and religious tradition.\u0000The last section of the article lists some areas that can and should be promoted in religious education, regardless of which religion in taught. {"title":"THE PRONOUNCED (LITERAL) MEANING OF THE LEGISLATIVE TEXT (AL-MANṬŪQ) IN SHAFII SCHOOL OF LAW","authors":"Šukrija Ramić","doi":"10.51728/issn.2637-1480.2019.17.253","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51728/issn.2637-1480.2019.17.253","url":null,"abstract":"This paper explores the theoretical interpretations of the pronounced meaning of the legislative text (al-manṭūq) in the Shafii school of law and the consequences of such an interpretation for the rules that the Shafiis came to through their legal reasoning (ijtihād). At the beginning of the work, the discipline of linguistics is explained in the context of the Methodology of Islamic Law (Uṣūlu-l-fiqh) as well as its significance for ijtihad, followed by the difference between the Ḥanafis and the Shafiis in the classification of textual allusions (ad-dalalāt) of legislative texts, and the linguistic and terminological definition of the concept of al-manṭūq in the Shafii school of law.\u0000Also, the classification of al-manṭūq in the Shafii school of law is presented. Providing examples, the author clarifies the significance of al-manṭūq in the Shafii school of law and the way in which the Shafiis used al-manṭūq in their argumentation in support of legal rules. \u0000Furthermore, the author presents the classification of al-manṭūq and the restriction of its meaning with respect to the mafhūm al-muwāfeqa and mafhūm al-muhālefe.
