A time domain (TD) transient analysis of the electromagnetic (EM) fields scattered from a perfectly conducting parabolic reflector antenna when it is illuminated by impulsive plane wave and general astigmatic Gaussian Beam (GB) fields, then elliptical reflector antenna illuminated by impulsive plane wave. The potential applications of near-field antennas continue to grow dramatically and desire more exploration in the near future. Combined with FDTD technique, PSO is applied in the design of frequency selective surfaces. Together with the GPU acceleration, the FDTD program runs about 100 times faster while preserves the broad-band nature of the algorithm. Standard PSO and binary PSO are applied to deal with known cell structure and unknown cell structure optimization respectively. Traditional LMS algorithm can not suppress the noise well, not only slowing down the convergence, but also occurring a big steady-state error and the offset amount. This paper combined with the advantages of LMS algorithm and the Newton algorithm, to propose the amendment of autocorrelation matrix and take variable step-size which changes by the SNR. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm in this paper has greatly improved in convergence rate, steady state error and the offset amount. The array, which can perform circular polarization operation, is constructed on a cured plane. The measured 10dB return loss (RL) bandwidth is 15 % (5.25 to 6.1 GHz), and the measured 3dB AR bandwidth is 53% (5.4 to 8.4 GHz). Not only does the proposed antenna feature broadband operation, but it also possesses high-gain characteristic. Due to the electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) property of L-SIAD, this MMR provides a broad upper stopband for the BPF. Meanwhile, broadside coupled-lines are used to provide tight coupling and sharp skirt for the BPF by the coupling transmission zero. Finally, such a UWB BPF is designed and fabricated. The computational body of translation can be partitioned into concentric non-overlapping subdomains. Each of integral equation systems are solved separately, thus reducing the complexity of the original problem. Moreover, by applying two sets of MLFMA grids, a more efficient matrix-vector multiplication is implemented because of the translation invariant feature of each subdomain. The main advantage offered by this technique is a reduction in memory requirements. For the solution of the resulting linear systems we describe appropriate iterative solution strategies using generalized forward-backward method. At the same time, the iterative procedure for each subdomain is accelerated by block-diagonal pre-conditioner and OpenMP techniques.
