In both, indoors and outdoors communications a reasonable coverage can be achieved by the high gains of array. Deploying MIMO systems in frequency-division duplex mode faces the issue of high feedback overhead of channel state information (CSI) to the transmitter. This issue is attributed to the used multiplexing algorithm. From other hand, it is expected that by 2020, all new 5G technologies will be in operation. Hence, it is crucial to investigate and analyze using the MIMO system with orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing OFDM modulation in 5G technology. This research sheds light on the potential challenges of implementing MIMOOFDM in 5G technology. It proposed four models with different number of transmitter and receiver antenna elements in the array. All proposed model used 2 elements per row in transmitter and receiver antenna. The four models are implemented in two cases Line of sight LOS and Non Line of Sight NLOS. The channel rank and condition number of channel matrix are regarded as significant and accurate mathematical indicators which can be used to evaluation MIMO channel technology. The condition number is calculated from the obtained results of four models with rank of channel metrics.","PeriodicalId":250088,"journal":{"name":"2018 Majan International Conference (MIC)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126980057","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the tangible ways to address this concern is to assess the extent of available academic and technology-related resources, ascertain the utilization and initiate a pedagogy that has yet to be done in the institution — a hybrid course. This paper examines the student's learning and engagement in an aggressive move in deploying a didactic and highly structured online course in Basic Mathematics. The course was delivered for two full semesters involving eight hundred ninety five foundation and diploma first year level students. The results showed significant increase in student's engagement before, during and after classroom contact hours. This increment however did not significantly translate to a growth in student learning as measured by their final course mark. Furthermore, this paper demonstrates that the ingenuity to facilitate learning and student engagement in an online platform that creates a promising solution in diminishing human capital resources and lessening fund allocation in public govern colleges. The implications of this study are important for all the stakeholders primarily for the college administration in delivering a technology-enabled learning environment and secondarily, for the government to bridge the gap between economy-triggered incapacities all for the noble aim of educating the citizens to the highest and globally accepted standards.","PeriodicalId":250088,"journal":{"name":"2018 Majan International Conference (MIC)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125492151","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the current state, there are no clear alternatives other than renewable energy sources which have recently led to the increase of entrepreneurial businesses primarily dealing with the advancement and uptake of renewable energy technologies. However, being an under-researched area, there is no clarity on the skills associated with the business models of the renewable energy sector. What are the current trends in terms of the interpersonal, professional and core technical skills that employers are actively seeking in this sector? How will nascent entrepreneurs address the skills gap or subject specific knowledge challenges? Using content analysis, this study reviews online job advertisements to shed some light on the skills distribution in management and technical-oriented roles in the renewable job sector. The study found management-oriented roles to have a more widespread skills parameter in the personal skills category as compared to technical-oriented roles. The professional and technical skills distribution shows technical-oriented jobs seeking a higher rate of subject-specific skills or knowledge than management-oriented roles. The study also found a lack of choices for undergraduate degrees on renewable energy when compared with postgraduate degree choices in the UK. This raises several questions like whether such gaps in subject choices at universities are limiting the entrepreneurial prospects among students. Are these factors fuelling the technical skills deficit currently witnessed in the renewable energy job sector? Perhaps, there is a need for universities to revisit their business and programme design models to investigate whether the undergraduate programmes are being too generic for the 21st century entrepreneurial market?","PeriodicalId":250088,"journal":{"name":"2018 Majan International Conference (MIC)","volume":"21 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123098738","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The SOM clustering technique was used to group the students into three clusters. Learning behaviors of students in each cluster were analyzed; a relationship between students' learning behaviour and their academic performance (Final Results) was investigated. The analysis shows that students in Cluster1, having the highest interactions frequency with the e-learning, also got the highest final score mean of 91.12%, this followed by Students in Cluster2 with less number of interactions than Cluster1 and final score mean of 75.65%. Finally, students in Cluster3 have least number of interactions than the remaining clusters with least final score mean of 36.57%. The research shows that, students who participate more in Forum activities perform higher, while students with lowest records in Forum activities have the lowest performance. The research found that Forum activity has significant factor on student's course success but it is optional to students and no marks allocated to it. The research suggests that marks should be allocated to Forum activities to encourage students' participations.","PeriodicalId":250088,"journal":{"name":"2018 Majan International Conference (MIC)","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122569742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The concept to improve the clustering performance and to manage the imprecise and unbalanced data, this paper proposes a Multi-Objective-based Adaptive Dynamic Directive Operative Fractional Lion algorithm (MO-ADDOFL). The fitness is based on the inter-cluster distance, intra-cluster distance, and the cluster density. The fitness proposed newly in this paper enhances the quality of the clusters and improves the classification accuracy. The MO-ADDOFL operates with the maximum fitness measure and determines the optimal centroid for clustering the data points to form the optimal clusters. The proposed algorithm inherits the advantages of the fractional theory. The experimentation is performed using two benchmark datasets, such as lung cancer and Pima Indians Diabetes dataset, which proves that the classification accuracy of the proposed method is better compared with other clustering algorithms. The maximum classification accuracy of MO-ADDOFL is found as 0.84, for the Pima Indians Diabetes dataset.","PeriodicalId":250088,"journal":{"name":"2018 Majan International Conference (MIC)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123770372","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many threats such as terrorist is one of the major issue in international community. Every country wants their nation to be free from all types of threats and can maintain the harmony of the nation. To protect from these type of cross border activity, Inclusive Border Management System (IBMS) is proposed which is expected to decrease the penetration at borders of nations. It is a coordination of labor, sensor, computer networks, insight and control arrangements. It incorporates Electro Optic Sensors (high determination day and night camera) radars and the preferences. This work is expected to make a reference library on threat signature utilizing intellectual innovation which will upgrade the knowledge for IBMS. The goal of this work is to reduce the miss rate radically by perusing the administrators brainwave examples and utilizing them to decide whether it has been identified a conceivable threat without monitoring it. This cap system proposes to utilize an Electroencephalogram (EEG) cap to capture the observer brain signals and afterward records when the observer identifies a threat. The combination of algorithm and EEG brain waves not just reduces false alerts, it additionally causes spectators to distinguish indications of threats that would be disregarded, for example, flying feathered creatures, influencing branches or non threat protest agreeing the activity recognition.
