The paper introduces weighted accumulation and adaptive searching to the IPCP detection, and theoretical value of detection threshold is derived in detail. Related experiment and simulation confirm that weighted accumulation increases SNR effectively and adaptive searching basically eliminates the negative effects on detection performance caused by unknown extended range of the target echoes, which guarantees the reliability and stability in practical application.","PeriodicalId":249652,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Ultra-Wideband","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126556598","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, the shape design of three-axis turntable is optimized. Then, the surface-induced current distribution of turntable under horizontal polarization is computed and strong scattering regions are analyzed. Finally, stealth treatments as choosing absorbing materials and suitable coating methods are tested. Based on experiments some effective measures are proposed for stealthy turntable in RFSS. Simulation results show that the three-axis turntable with coated absorbing materials has reduced echo amplitude and more homogeneous distribution.","PeriodicalId":249652,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Ultra-Wideband","volume":"97 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126565157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed mixer is based on folded double-balanced Gilbert cell which is well-known for its low voltage, simplicity and well-balanced performances. The mixer adopts capacitive cross-coupling technique for input matching and performance improvement. Switched capacitors and resistors are added to shift the working bands. Designed in SMIC 0.13-µm process, the simulation results show flat conversion gains of 9.65 to 9.75 dB and 9.75 to 9.90 dB, single-sideband noise figures of 12.2 dB and 12.8 dB for IMT-Advanced and UWB applications, respectively. The input third-order intercept points are about 7.3 dBm for both of the frequency bands. The mixer core dissipates 4.8 mW under 1.2 V supply, and the total area of the layout is 0.76×0.65 mm2.","PeriodicalId":249652,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Ultra-Wideband","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132031487","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Compared with the conventional band-pass filter wideband input matching, the number of inductors is saved by the high-pass filter topology presented. The virtual ground of the differential LNA formed at the ‘tail’ removes the sensitivity to parasitic ground inductance. The LNA is designed and fabricated with Chartered 0.18µm 1P6M CMOS technology. The implemented LNA achieves a maximum power gain of 13.8dB, and a noise figure of 5.49–6.95dB during 6–9GHz. The LNA including buffers dissipates a total power of 29mW from the 1.8 V power supply. A spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of more than 30dB has been measured over the complete Nyquist interval at sampling frequencies of 2GS/s. The power consumption at a 2GHz clock frequency for a near-Nyquist sinusoidal output signal equals only 12mW.
