Song is a form of nonverbal linguistic expression. Through songs, various meanings can be created from the beauty of its structure. One of the aesthetic elements in the song is metaphor. Based on this, this research is entitled \"Analysis of the Metaphor Forms of Song Lyrics in the Album Yang Patah Tumbuh, Yang Hilang Berganti by Banda Neira”. The problems in this study are divided into two, 1) What kinds of metaphors are contained in the album Yang Patah Tumbuh, Yang Hilang Berganti by Banda Neira 2) What is the meaning of the metaphorical expression in the album Yang Patah Tumbuh, Yang Hilang Berganti by Banda Neira. The method used in this study is referential matching with the determining element sorting technique (PUP). The theory used is semantic theory related to metaphorical expressions according to Ullmann's point of view (2009). The results show that there are four forms of using metaphorical expressions for song lyrics in the album Yang Patah Tumbuh, Yang Hilang Berganti by Banda Neira. The four forms are (1) anthropomorphic metaphor (such as backs of grass and whispering leaves), (2) shapes metaphor from concrete to abstract (for example, everything is eternal, inevitable and natural), (3) animal metaphor (seeing the butterfly calling the wind), and (4) synaesthetic metaphor (blue for everything that is far away). The problems that will be discussed in this study are the types of code mixing, the origin (source) of code mixing, and the factors causing code mixing. The purpose of this study is to explain the types and factors of code mixing contained in Tere Liye's novel About You. The method used in this research is the referential method. This research uses sociolinguistic theory and bilingual theory. The results of this study reveal that in the novel About You, there are various types of code mixing, namely, the first type of code mixing based on mixed language, namely internal code mixing, external code mixing. The types of code mixing based on the linguistic level are divided into two types, namely the word level and the phrase level. Code mixing at the word level is divided into basic words, affixed words, compound words, and pronouns. Second, the origin (source) of inward code mixing comes from regional languages, and outward code mixing comes from foreign languages. The anthology of the poem Peluklah Aku is chosen as the object of research because in this book many symbols of nature are related to the study that the researcher is doing. The analysis in this study includes an analysis of the physical structure of poetry, an analysis of the inner structure of poetry, and the representation of nature contained in the anthology of the poem Peluklah Aku. The theory used is the literary ecology theory of Suwardi Endraswara and the structural theory of Herman Waluyo's poetry. The method used in collecting data is a literature study method with reading, listening, and note-taking techniques. The process of data analysis used the descriptive-analytical method with reading, listening, note-taking, and interpretation techniques. Presentation of data analysis using analytical descriptive techniques using a variety of scientific language, data analysis presentation techniques using a predetermined thesis writing format. Based on the analysis, the following findings were obtained. First, the poems that have been analyzed consist of different themes including the themes of social criticism, social protest, struggle, love, hope, messages, advice, death, and nostalgia. Second, the natural symbols used by the poet in his poems are not to give messages to protect the environment or related to the environment. Natural signs used by the poet in his poems are natural features that have similar characteristics to the situation or the message the poet wants to convey to the reader. Every form of human life can be expressed in language. Language in everyday use depends on the user and the situation of use. Because of these two things, various variations of language are used in communication. In mid-2020, Indonesia was shocked by the ban on the use of the word anjay. The purpose of this study was to determine the classification of text mining methods in filtering the word anjay, to find out how the sentence structure is in each tweet, to find out how the nuances of the meaning of the word anjay in each tweet. From the k-fold cross validation process, the average accuracy result is 50%, the precision result is 59.2%, the recall result is 47.3%, and the f-measure result is 41.2%. The word anjay is found in phrases or nouns 252 tweets, verbs 232 tweets, adjectives 187 tweets, pronouns 32 tweets, numerals 16 tweets, prepositions 12 tweets, and adverbs 11 tweets. The word anjay is found in 350 tweets of declarative sentences, 283 exclamative tweets, 78 interrogative tweets, and 31 imperative tweets. The word anjay has various interjections, including; interjection of admiration, interjection of wonder, interjection of gratitude, interjection of surprise, interjection of hope, interjection of anger, interjection of curses, and interjection of hope. In terms of nuances of meaning using redundancy, the word anjay has no influence in a sentence. Conflict is a part of human life that inspire literary writer to write story. The novel Burung Kayu (Wood Bird, 2021) by Niduparas Erlang set in a region in Mentawai, North Sumatera, and expresses social conflicts that reflect the local situation. This article discusses three issues related to the novel, including (1) how is the structure of the novel Burung Kayu by Niduparas Erlang related to plot, characterization, and setting; (2) how is the representation of social conflict in Burung Kayu by Niduparas Erlang; (3) what is the meaning of the representation of social conflict in the novel Burung Kayu by Niduparas Erlang. The theory used is the theory of social conflict from the view of Lewis A. Coser, besides that, the theory of structure from the view of Stanton is used to examine the structure of the novel Burung Kayu. The data was collected using the literature study method with reading, listening, and note-taking techniques. Data analysis was carried out by interpretive descriptive method. Based on the analysis results of the novel Burung Kayu by Niduparas Erlang, it is built on conventional plots and flashbacks, the characterizations consist of main and complementary characters, then the setting is divided into place, time, atmosphere, and social. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research using reading, listening and note-taking techniques. The research procedures include: (1) Understanding the structure and types of language styles, then reading and studying the novel, Difficult Signals, (2) Recording data in the form of novel structures and language styles, (3) Classifying the data that has been obtained, (4) Describing the structure and language style obtained, (5) Concluding the results of the analysis. \u0000 The result of this research is the structure contained in the novel of Difficult Signal by Ika Natasya and Ernest Prakasa, namely: The plot used in this novel is a mixed plot but uses more advanced plots. Setting, this novel takes several settings as a story but focuses more on the Sumba setting. In character, the main character in this novel is Ellen, a mother who is firm, independent, and hardworking. Kiara, a high school girl who is growing up is spoiled, kind, and loving. Grandma, a grandmother who loves family, is kind, and also wise. Iwan, a friend and work partner of Ellen who is humorous, and kind, Saodah and Ngatno, workers and housemaids who are humorous, Yos and Melki, a travel and hotel officer who has a humorous and kind character. Abe, one of the hoteliers who is firm, wise, kind, and friendly. Aunt Maya, a hotel owner who is humorous, kind and also compassionate. Next, the language style in the novel, Difficult Signal. The comment column is a virtual interaction space for netizens. Every netizen can comment in the public space freely. Freedom to comment in the next section leads to the use of dysphemia. Dysphemia is an effort to replace words that mean smooth or ordinary with words that mean rude. There are two problem formulations in this article. 1) what is the form of dysphemia in the comment column of Najwa Shihab's youtube account \"Reformation Test\" 2) what are the characteristics of hate speech in the column Comments on Najwa Shihab's youtube account \"Reformation Test\" in terms of the use of dysphemia. The theory used is semantic theory, especially dysphemia. Data collection is carried out by the listening method, free to engage in conversation. Data analysis is carried out using the agih method with the determining element sorting technique (PUP). Presentation analysis results are presented informally and formally. The results of the 70 data showed that the use of dysphemia was dominated by the word form with 36 data. Dysphemia in the form of 26 data phrases, then 2 data in the form of clause dysphemia. The last 6 data form of sentence dysphemia. The existence of this form of dysphemia is intended to sharpen and strengthen the meaning in the commentary aspect. This study aims to describe (a) the structure of the sentence and (b) what types of sentences are used in the dialogue. The data collection methods and techniques used are the note-taking method, data analysis methods and techniques using the agih method with basic techniques for direct elements, while the methods and techniques for presenting the results of data analysis are formal methods with descriptive techniques. The results of this study include the structure of sentences in the dialogue of the film Hafalan Shalat Delisa which is divided into two groups, namely the structure of single sentences and compound sentences. The single sentence structure consists of eight sentence patterns, namely (1) SP, (2) SPO, (3) SPK, (4) SP-Pel, (5) SPOK, (6) SPO-Pel, (7) PK, and (8) PO. In compound sentences there are five sentence patterns, namely (1) SP+SP, (2) SP+PO, (3) SP+PK, (4) Konj+SPO+KSP and (5) SPPel+SPO. First, because this novel is a best seller. Second, this novel tells the true story of a person. Third, this novel has many useful references to morality. The analysis of this resersch uses structural theory and moral value theory as formulated by Burhan Nurgiyantoro’s. Structural theory discusses the object of research in the intrinsic elements that build and literary work, among others, characterization, plot, and setting. Moral value theory is uused analyze the morality contained in the novel. The method used in this research is the library research method with reading, listening, and note taking techniques. Then, the data were analyzed using the analytical descriptive method. The results of this study consist of two parts. First, the structure of the novel 728 Hari:IJMS, the characters in the novel are the main character, Eva Meliana Santi, and additional characters, namely Sugiarti, Badarudin, Ryantori Ahmad, and Winantyo Adi Tamtomo (Nanan). The flow used consisnts of three stages, namely the initial stages, the middle stages, and the final stages. The setting of this novel is divided into three, namely place setting, time setting, and social setting.
