The aims was to identify the positive politeness strategy and to explain the factor influencing the characters used positive politeness strategies based on the theory of Brown and Levinson (1987). The data was taken from the utterance between characters in the movie. The data was collected through the documentation method by taking-note technique, this article used qualitative method to analyze the data, the method of presenting data analysis was the informal method. This article used the politeness theory proposed by Brown and Levinson. Based on the theory above, there was nine strategies of positive politeness found in this movie. Furthermore, the factor influencing this article is positive politeness payoff. The results of this article show that in “Me Before You” movie the characters used nine out of fifteen strategies in positive politeness. The nine strategies that was found in the utterances of the characters are strategy 2 (exaggerate), strategy 3 (intensify interest to H), strategy 4 (use in-group identity markers), strategy 5 (seek agreement), strategy 6 (avoid disagreement), strategy 10 (offer and promise), strategy 11 (be optimistic), strategy 12 (include both S and H in the activity), and strategy 15 (give gifts to H (goods, sympathy, understanding, cooperation)). This article focused on temporal deictic expressions in \"My Mind Makes Noises\" song lyrics that have official music videos. This article had two aims: first, to identify the temporal deictic expressions in the album's song lyrics; and second, to explain and analyze the deictic usages of the album's temporal deictic expressions. This article used a qualitative method and content analysis technique to analyze the data, with Huang's pragmatics theory as the grand theory and Halliday's context of situation theory as the supporting theory. The data for this article was gathered through the use of documentation and note-taking method and technique. This article used an informal method and descriptive technique to present the analysis, which means the results were presented in the form of descriptive words and sentences. There were six temporal deictic expressions analyzed in this article, which were then categorized into three categories based on the time of the event using pragmatics method, the context of the situation, and then the deictic usage of each temporal deictic expression. This research is an interesting problem phenomenon for researchers in the field of psycholinguistics, this is an issue that is very impressive and difficult to prove. This research is included in the type of qualitative descriptive research. The method of data collection is done by the method of observing. The method of data analysis in this study used the matching method and the distributional method. In this study, the presentation of the results of data analysis used was informal. The analysis is carried out with a description of the explanation in simple words that are easy to understand and still use technical terminology. The results of this study are children aged 4-8 years have acquired nouns (mobile phone, monster, weapon, etc.), verbs (hit, play, dead, etc.), and adjectives (strong, crazy, far, etc.) quite well. The purpose of this study was to determine the structural elements which include grooves; characterizations; and setting, to reveal aspects of reproductive health in a patriarchal culture in the novel Bulan Patah by Maria Matildis Banda, and to reveal the meaning of filial piety in the novel Bulan Patah. The theory used in this research is the theory of structure and the theory of sociology of literature which includes reproductive health and public health. This study uses qualitative data. The data collection method used is the literature study method. The process of data analysis used the descriptive qualitative method. The data sources of this research are primary data and secondary data. The results of this study, namely the plot in the novel Bulan Patah are divided into three stages, namely the initial, middle, and final stages. The main character in this novel is Midwife Rosa Dalima, while the secondary character is Om Saver. The complementary characters in this novel are Rachel and Retha. The setting in this novel is the setting of the place, setting of time, and setting of atmosphere. In this study, it was found that the aspects of reproductive health were weak without the treatment of a doctor or midwife, and weak physical and social conditions, due to the influence of patriarchal culture in Bulan Patah Novel. His videos display interactions, mostly informal ones, and they are favored by the Balinese not only due to the humor contains in the videos, but also because of the moral values and the messages conveyed in the video. Puja Astawa often raised current issues in the society as the topics for his videos. It makes the interactions displayed in the video real-life like and reflects the real life of a Balinese. Due to this real-life likeness, his videos are interesting to be discussed further, especially in linguistics points of view. This study was conducted in order to identify and analyze the type of participation framework reflected in social interactions in the videos. In order to achieve the aim of the study, this qualitative study selected thirteen Puja Astawa’s videos as the source of the data. Those videos are selected based on several criteria, namely (1) the video was uploaded in 2021 until June 2022, (2) the duration of the video is more than four minutes, and (3) there are more than two participants in the video. In collecting the data, documentation method and note taking technique were utilized. The collected data were then analyses based on participation framework theory which is proposed by Goffman. The result of the analysis shows that the utterance uttered by the participants in the videos reflects the participation framework. All of the participants are the animator of their utterance. However, not all of the participants are the author, figure or the principal of their utterance.
