Ekonomide hem durgunluk hem de enflasyon yaşandığı dönemlerde bu iki olgunun birbirini tetiklediğini ve büyüttüğünü anlatmakta kullanılmaktadır. Stagflasyon sorunları 1960’lı yıllarda daha iyi bilinse de 1974-75 yıllarında yaşanan dünya resesyonundan sonra uluslararası bir sorun haline gelmiştir. Stagflasyon, enflasyon ve işsizlik arasında ters korelasyon olmasından ötürü hem klasik iktisat teorisinde hem de Keynesyen teoride paradoksal bir durum olarak nitelendirilmektedir. Gün geçtikçe daha karmaşık ve belirsiz hale gelen uluslararası makroekonomik ortam, kötüleşen performans ve daha yüksek risklerle karakterize edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada stagflasyonun kısa tarihi üzerinde durulduktan sonra, pandemi sonrası toparlanmaya başlayıp Rusya-Ukrayna Savaşı ile başka bir mücadeleye giren ekonomilerdeki stagflasyon riski değerlendirilecektir. Bu bilgiler ışığında stagflasyonun iş dünyası ve ihracat üzerinde yaratabileceği etkilere değinilecektir. Sonuç olarak çalışmanın küresel anlamda yüksek enflasyonla mücadele edilen dönemde stagflasyon konusunda derinlemesine bir anlayış sunarak literatüre katkı sağlaması amaçlanmaktadır.","PeriodicalId":245979,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Empirical Economics and Social Sciences","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115463896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dependent variable used in the study is the commercial loan interest rate, and the independent variables are the inflation rate, deposit interest, dollar rate, and money supply. The data is compiled in CBRT evds sources and the time interval is monthly data between 01/2010-04/2021. The method of the study is the Ardl boundary Test and error correction model used in time series analysis. Within the framework of these models, problems such as trend effect and stasis of series that are frequently encountered in time series analysis were examined. According to the results obtained from the study, the effect of the deposit interest argument on the commercial loan interest rate in the short and long term was greater than that of other variables. It was concluded that inflation, exchange rate and M2 money supply variables had no effect in the long term.The effect of M2 money supply and exchange rate variables on short-term commercial loan interest is significant. It can be said that the effect of the three-period lag value of the exchange rate variable in the short term is also significant.","PeriodicalId":245979,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Empirical Economics and Social Sciences","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130342355","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Property Management is the management of assets and real property, either for residential or commercial purposes. It is a crucial task enabling a real estate development project to be met with success. These companies are supposed to oversee and manage shared assets, the common area, the building systems and the environment at a project for the purpose of keeping the project in good condition, attractive and orderly – doing so ultimately adds value in the long run. Property management companies have become an important factor for living at a residential project and for ensuring a project’s sustainability. Therefore choosing the right property management team helps to make your project or your home more liveable, valuable and sustainable. The purpose of this research is to study factors influencing Customer Choice Decision of Property Management Company in Bangkok Thailand. These factors include six independent variables: Brand Trust (BT), Track Record (TR), Property Characteristics (PC), Corporate Staff (CS), Management System (MS), and Management Fee (MF)and one dependent variable: Choice Behavior (CB). 400 sample were collected using electronic questionnaire through social media. We used Structural Equation Models (SEM) for data analysis. The result shows that Since the RMSEA, which is an absolute fit index that assesses how far our hypothesized model is from a perfect model, for this model is .043 (.90), the model seems to fit well according to the descriptive measures of fit. More importantly Management Fee (MF) and Property Characteristics (PC) seem to have significant effects on influencing Customer Choice Decision of Property Management Company in Bangkok Thailand due to their p-values are both less than .05. That means other than management fee that seems obvious, Thai consumer also look at whether Property Management Company has relevant experiences in managing similar kind of property before be it large property, hi-end property, or mix-use property complex.","PeriodicalId":245979,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Empirical Economics and Social Sciences","volume":"23 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133116223","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study analyses the macroeconomic determinants of remittances as well as the comparative remittances of skilled and unskilled workers to draw a clearer picture of the current state and composition of the remittances. The study makes use of Johansen’s co-integration technique to check for the existence of long run liaison among the variables. The study finds that remittances are positively and negatively affected by unskilled and skilled migration respectively. The macroeconomic variables included in the model are also found to be significant factors determining the flow of remittances to Pakistan.","PeriodicalId":245979,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Empirical Economics and Social Sciences","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126628802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While several factors have been blamed for poor solid waste disposal practices in most developing countries, household socio-economic and housing characteristics have received less attention in the scholarly literature in terms of how they affect residents’ waste disposal practices. This study, therefore, seeks to investigate whether type of dwelling characteristics, coupled with household socio-economic features, influence the choice of a particular mode of solid waste disposal. Using data from the Ghana Living Standards Survey , we found that the major socio-economic characteristics that influence household mode of solid waste disposal are; education, type of employment, residence (urban/rural) including the housing characteristics and income is found to be neutral in this case. More specifically, a multinomial logistic regression of relative risk ratio shows that majority of those who contract private waste collectors either stay in a separate house or compound house (rooms). Similarly, 82.46% of those who dispose their waste by burning stay in either a separate house or compound house (rooms) or huts/building (in same compound). Education is found to be a strong variable in determining the mode of solid waste disposal by households. Self-employed persons tend to practice more of burning of refuse, public dumping and indiscriminate dumping. . Policy implications are discussed in the paper.","PeriodicalId":245979,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Empirical Economics and Social Sciences","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129699162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
