It investigates  technological paucities and fixes for NSPRI technologies (NSPRI Smoking Kiln  (NSK), Parabolic-shaped Solar Dryer (PSSD), Ice Fish Box® (IFB®), Hermetic Steel  Drum (HSD) and Ventilated Plastic Crate (VPC)) from the perspective of users of  the technologies. The study adopted a cross-sectional research design using the in person method as its feedback mechanism in 18 states across 6 geopolitical zones  in Nigeria. Data were obtained through interview schedules supplemented with  key informant interviews while a multi-stage sampling procedure was employed in  the selection of respondents. Firstly, eighteen (18) States where NSPRI postharvest  technologies have been disseminated and adopted were purposively selected.  Secondly, users of improved NSPRI postharvest technologies were selected from  diverse locations within the states earlier selected. Non-probabilistic techniques  particularly snowballing were also employed at this stage. Frequencies, percentages,  means and weighted averages were employed in the analysis of data components.  Results showed that 70% of respondents have never provided feedback on NSPRI  technologies. Executives of various associations was used by 45% of NSK users,  59% of IFB users, and 48% of VPC users to provide feedback while 43% of PSSD  users and 40% of HSD users shared opinions through NSPRI extension staff. In  general, there exists a strong (NSK: 94% PSSD: 95.2% IFB®: 91% HSD: 88.6% VPC:  74.5%) willingness to recommend technologies among respondents even as they  provided positive feedback on use parameters and components of the technologies.  However, respondents opined that the roller and chimney (NSK), durability of  polypropylene cover (PSSD), draining of thawed ice (IFB®), and bolted ring (HSD)  require improvement.  ","PeriodicalId":245327,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Rehabilitation and Special Education (IJRSE)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125584165","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

No nation can progress without education, so every nation must provide a quality education so its population can participate in development. Raising the population’s education level is key to economic growth. The researchers were interested in the topic since using computers at a fundamental level can lead to better schooling. ICT in education has three purposes: teaching, administration, and personal (Kellenberger & Hendricks, 2000). A descriptive survey research design was used. Afienya circuits. The survey questionnaire analysis complemented the interview and document analysis. Using computers in primary schools in Mobole-Afienya Circuit encourages open learning, removes distance and time between teachers and students, supports the practice of previously taught concepts, and helps learners acquire concepts and skills like word recognition and vocabulary building. Most teachers in the Mobole-Afienya circuit believe that computers aid in content production, and research may be used for pedagogical activities and increase successful teaching.Most respondents feel computers may improve teaching and learning in elementary schools. Insufficient computers, a shortage of electricity and unpredictable power supply, poor internet connectivity, and insufficient teacher training and refresher courses were the primary problems facing computer use in public elementary schools, according to the report.","PeriodicalId":245327,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Rehabilitation and Special Education (IJRSE)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125996589","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The target population comprised 5,369 regular undergraduate students in four public universities in Ghana: University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University for Development Studies (UDS) and University of Cape Coast (UCC). A sample of 588 respondents were selected from the four public universities for the study which adopted the mixed methods research design, employed questionnaire and interview for data collection. Locus of control, stigma, culture and attitudes towards seeking professional psychological help short form (ATSPPHS-SF) scales were employed to explore the relationship between health-seeking behaviour and locus of control, stigmatization and culture.  Frequencies and percentages were the statistical tools used for the data analysis. Findings revealed that, each of the three independent variables (locus of control, stigmatisation and culture) had significant effect on the health-seeking behaviour of the respondents.  These findings call for counsellors to focus on anti-stigma campaigns, while paying critical attention to the cultural orientation and the personality profiles of their clients.","PeriodicalId":245327,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Rehabilitation and Special Education (IJRSE)","volume":"17 19","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120811937","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even though the world has made significant advancements in research and development and awareness of the impact of mental disorders is not properly recognised, developing countries still spend barely 2% of their health budgets on mental health services. This is despite the fact that anxiety and depression have increased by 25% during the last few years. In addition, the WHO reports that developing countries have spent barely any of their health budgets on mental health services. Emotional intelligence is necessary in order to sustain a relationship, boost job satisfaction, effectively handle the stress associated with kinfolk, and reframe adverse circumstances. Several studies point to the importance of emotional intelligence as a factor in the treatment of mental disorders. The emotional quotient (EQ), which is often commonly referred to as emotional intelligence, is the cutting edge of human intellect. It was much more challenging to overcome a mental ailment that had been brought on by a physical handicap. It can be quite challenging to cope with the inadvertent loss of eyesight caused by a retinal ailment, which can result in challenges on both a psychological and a financial level. The purpose of this research is to analyse the characteristics of emotional intelligence of early adults who have unexpected vision impairment owing to a retinal ailment by doing a critical review of previously published articles. In addition to that, the importance of psychosomatic ophthalmology is emphasised throughout this work. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":245327,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Rehabilitation and Special Education (IJRSE)","volume":"443 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125763809","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using Cuisenaire Rods as an intervention tool, the researcher came up with ways to improve how this important math concept is taught to students.The study involved fifty (50) Second-Year students, including 41 males and nine females, out of a total of two hundred (200). Samples for the study were selected using both stratified and random sampling strategies. The primary instrument for data collection was tests. The raw scores from both the pre-test and the post-test were put into Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) for analysis and interpretation.At the conclusion of the analysis and discussion of results, it was determined that the intervention tool led to a considerable improvement in student performance. The descriptive survey research design was adopted for this study. The study was guided by three research questions. The population for the study was first year students in the College of Education Studies, University of Cape Coast. A sample size of 300 students comprising 147 males and 153 females were selected. Cluster, proportionate and simple random sampling techniques were employed. An adapted version of the Students Stress Inventory and Stress Coping Style Inventory (SCSI) were the data collection instruments. Data were analysed using means and standard deviations. The findings indicated that there was high level of stress among the students. Also, it was revealed that environmental, financial and academic stressors were the major common stressors among students. Most students use active emotional-focused coping and active problem-focused coping strategies. It was, therefore, recommended that students should make use of the University’s Counselling Centre to address their issues in the areas of academic, financial, environmental and interpersonal. Furthermore, students should be educated on both emotional-focused coping strategies and problem-focused coping strategies so that they can use them properly under different situations.","PeriodicalId":245327,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Rehabilitation and Special Education (IJRSE)","volume":"70 5","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120978975","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
