This involves the usage of various substances in in-vitro and in-vivo systems that are injurious to the human liver in in-vitro and in-vivo systems and then challenged with plants parts extracted with organic and inorganic solvents. Reported view works on hepatotoxicity have been focused on the plant species, this review therefore focused on the toxicants, the solvents for extraction and models used in inducing the hepatotoxicity. Google search, Elsevier and PubMed databases were searched for primary articles from 2005-2022 on hepatotoxicity. In all, 206 articles were retrieved, of which 46 were rejected and 165 were included for the analysis. Authors reported 55 toxicants used in inducing 10 in-vitro and in-vitro models and challenged with 94 different medicinal plants species extracted using 11 different organic and inorganic solvents. Comparatively, tetrachloromethane (CCL4) was the most frequent toxicant 55 of 94 (58.5%) reported plant species while ethanol 25 (45.5%) was the most frequently used solvent for extracting plant phytoconstituents. For the models used in inducing hepatotoxicity, Wistar albino rats 46 of the 55 (83.6%) reported toxicants was the most predominant. The liver is prone to many available toxicants however, phytohepatoregeneration is possible with many medicinal plants which can easily be extracted with common solvents.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"222 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139244481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Online counseling platforms have emerged as a novel means of providing mental health assistance to this demographic. With the use of online counseling platforms, this systematic review seeks to synthesize and critically assess the body of research on social media’s function in providing teenagers with guidance and support. A thorough search of databases covering research published between 2010 and 2022 was conducted using PubMed, PsycINFO, and Scopus. Eligible studies included both quantitative and qualitative research exploring the use of social media in the context of online counseling for adolescents. Many publications from the first search were found; these were then filtered, and a final set of research was added for comprehensive examination. These papers provide a comprehensive overview of the advantages and disadvantages of social media therapy for teenagers. Findings highlight the accessibility and reach of online counseling platforms, the potential benefits for those who may otherwise be reluctant to seek help in traditional settings, and the role of peer social support in these environments. However, the review also underscores concerns regarding privacy, safety, and the quality of advice and guidance provided through these platforms. The synthesis of existing literature reveals the potential benefits of these platforms in reaching and assisting adolescents, while also acknowledging the critical concerns surrounding ethics, safety, and data privacy. The findings have implications for healthcare professionals, policymakers, and researchers, emphasizing the need for a balanced approach that harnesses the benefits of online counseling while addressing its associated challenges. Future research should explore strategies for enhancing the effectiveness and safety of online counseling for adolescents in the rapidly evolving social media landscape.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"125 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139249031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study aims to explore the lived experiences, coping mechanism, and insights of tenured teachers in integrating technology. The researcher collected data from 17 Araling Panlipunan Tenured Teachers in high school from the Division of Tagum City using purposive sampling. This study employed a phenomenological approach and utilized an interview guide for in-depth interview and focus group discussion. The results of the study were analyzed using thematic analysis. In the lived experiences of tenured teachers, there are three emerging themes; facing challenges brought by ICT innovations; experiencing lack of know-how and interest; experiencing difficulty in access to resources and learning materials. Further, on tenured teachers coping mechanism there are also three themes; consultation with peers, class discovery and experiential learning; self-determination and perseverance. Lastly, on the insights of tenured teachers, three themes emerged; improving skills and adapting to change, best to share and learn from peers; never lose hope and determination. Results revealed that it is a challenge for tenured teachers to innovate strategies due to lack of know-how and difficulty or limited access to technology infrastructures. However, teachers were able to overcome these challenges through peer support, positive attitude and discovering classroom strategies which promotes experiential learning. Furthermore, tenured teachers see technology integration valuable since it improves their skills and adaptability to the technological changes and enable them to cope and never lose hope despite their tenure. This implies that on-going professional development plays a relevant role in improving tenured teachers’ skills and delivery of classroom instruction with technology integration.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"PAMI-9 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135413660","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of anemia and its contributing factors among pregnant women in Dhaka, Bangladesh. A total of 260 pregnant women were included in this study, recruited from two healthcare facilities in Dhaka. The primary outcome of interest was the presence or absence of anaemia (yes or no). The exposure variables encompassed various characteristics related to the women, their partners, and the community. To investigate the associations between the outcome and exposure variables, multivariate logistic regression techniques were employed. The findings revealed that two-thirds of the pregnant women in the study were anemic. Notable socio-demographic determinants of anaemia included women aged between 21 and 30 years, unemployment, residing in households with lower wealth, and not taking iron supplements during the current pregnancy. Additionally, a history of previous abortions was identified as a risk factor for anaemia during pregnancy. The prevalence of anaemia among pregnant women in Bangladesh is notably high. There is a pressing need for improvements in the provision of antenatal care and other healthcare services to address this issue effectively.","PeriodicalId":244174,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135094966","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
