In this regard, a lighting design project is proposed for BUU faculty of architecture library which is an additional unit to the existing building in the pre-design phase and planning to be implemented. In this scope, artificial lighting results and daylighting availability of the library space is analyzed with a lighting simulation tool. A specific industrial room was investigated, for which the parameters of the electrical grid for continuous operation were measured. A high precision network analyzer was used to determine the higher harmonics generated as a result of the use of LED light sources. Except for the simulation model of the architectural lighting of the building, a lot of experiments and preconditions are made. All the surfaces of the building are experimentally tested and their reflective properties are obtained. Test flood lights are chosen according to the reflectance of the surfaces and their color characteristics are experimentally tested. Based on these experimental results, on site experiments are also made and after that the whole idea of the architectural lighting of the twelfth educational building of TU Sofia is simulated. Green electricity use is the perfect logical addition to an energy efficient building. Such electricity can be obtained from sunlight using a photovoltaic panel. Most photovoltaic panels have a CPA approximately 20%, reached at 25°C. It means that at the outlet on the panel surface the transformed electrical energy is maximum 20% of the solar energy. The panel should have a temperature 25°C and be perpendicular to the sun's rays in order to use all of the panel's capabilities. These conditions can be achieved with a sun monitoring system. A model of the thermal conditions of a LED lamp has been suggested in this paper. A specialized software application was developed, which implements the created algorithms. Simulation experiments were performed and compared with the experimental data. When creating a system for collecting, archiving and processing the energy expenses, it is important the costs incurred to be analyzed. The mathematical statistics gives an appropriate tool for this. The analysis showed that much of the cost is due to the building’s lighting. There are classical installations with HLVH and new - with LED lights. For both types of equipment, the power factor becomes worse when dimmed - when dimming from 100 to 50% for the first $0.95 gt$ PF $gt0.6$; for the second $-0.96 gt$ PF $gt$ -0.8. And if in the first case the increase in the price of active energy is not high (sanctions in percent of the so-called cosine-fi tariff if PF $lt0.9)$, in the case of the second type the reactive energy is sold by the electricity distribution companies at the same cost as the active.
