Adaptation tunnel lighting is performed with three or four groups of luminaires switched on or off when increasing or decreasing the adaptation brightness. The dependence between the operating power of the lighting and the duration of turning on the individual groups of luminaires varies with the different orientation of the tunnel portal. It is nonlinear, therefore the modes of operation and dimming of the groups of luminaires are determined by the so-called orderly schedule of adaptation brightness. It gives the frequency of occurrence of set values of adaptation brightness in the annual plan. Therefore, the important issue is the verification of the street lighting condition in the context of fulfilling the normative requirements. The currently used method of measuring road illumination with the use of handheld meter is labour-intense and time-consuming, as a result of which the street lighting audit is neglected. An alternative method of measurement is the measurement systems located on the vehicle. The publication presents the methods used in the measuring of the illuminance of road. Attention is paid to the disadvantages of the commonly used static method and an alternative is presented by using mobile systems to measure the lighting condition on the road. Two different goniophotometers are considered – telecentric, where the light distribution of the luminaire is measured while the luminaire is positioned with the light sources facing up (this is not its prescribed burning position) and mirror distributive gonio photometer (MDGP), where the light distribution is measured while the luminaire is in its prescribed burning position. The methodology allows achieving of various desired light distributions of the luminaires by iteratively modifying the three-dimensional shape of the secondary lens. The created three-dimensional models of optical lenses shown are tested by Monte Carlo raytracing photometric analysis. With the tunnelighting system implemented, the two gates are not connected to each other and are monitored directly via the global network. Obviously, with the presence of several groups of luminaires, the number of luminaires in the group and the dimming levels of the luminaires of each group are obtained by solving an optimization task. In the report, an optimization task has been formulated and solved for specific tunnel entrance exposures with corresponding ordered luminance schedules L20.
