There are two kinds of method for temperature acquisition. The first one is using the thermistor, and the other is using temperature transducer with fixed resistor. But temperature transducer is not used for geo-stationary satellite because of the radiation criteria for Geo satellite and temperature transducer have to be used with protection cover in order to compensate the radiation criteria for GEO satellite. Therefore simple thermistor is generally used for temperature acquisition in GEO satellite. In this paper, I reviewed general temperature acquisition method used in present GEO, LEO satellite using thermistor and temperature transducer, and proposes novel method to acquire the temperature using thermistor with MOS-FET in order to remove the drawback of present method. Proposed method can reduce the cost and area for temperature acquisition circuit and remove a number of drawbacks for present thermistor acquisition method.","PeriodicalId":240337,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128987997","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Consequently, these systems are not suitable for high power applications, such as fast electric vehicle (EV) charges, that require high frequency operation. This paper therefore proposes a high frequency multilevel IPT system that is suitable for high power applications. The proposed multilevel system is implemented using low voltage MOSFET switching devices and a mathematical model with analysis is presented while comparing its performance to a conventional IPT system. Simulated results of a 20 kW, 7-level bi-directional IPT system clearly indicate that the proposed multilevel IPT topology offers superior performance in relation to losses, harmonics and cost.","PeriodicalId":240337,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130909821","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different configurations of the Hammerstein-Wiener model for the system are developed and compared with each other. The most suitable model configuration is selected and linearised at an estimated operating point. Simulation results further show that the Hammerstein-Wiener model configuration with both saturation and dead-zone as input channels and piecewise linear functions as output channels has remarkable improvement over Hammerstein, Weiner, other configurations of Hammerstein-Wiener and linear models. The proposed model is in a form that the widely used controllers in the industry could be applied to improve automatic control of coagulation process.","PeriodicalId":240337,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"696 20","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133970282","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The common issue in one-way carsharing service is that the vehicle stock of each station become imbalance, thus will lead to the less customer satisfaction and less utilization of vehicles. Consequently, the relocation is used by the system to move the appropriate vehicle to a high demand station in order to elevate customer satisfaction. This paper will demonstrate the periodically relocation model for a one-way carsharing system and tested on simulation model. Computational simulation result on commercially operational data of carsharing in South Korea is involved to solve the relocation problem in one-way system. This poses a serious challenge for the stability of the DC micro-grid in spite of ensuring stability of individual converters. Some efforts are made by the community to address the issue. In this paper, we have proposed a sliding-mode controller with a non-linear sliding surface to ensure large signal stability. The proposed non-linear surface ensures that constant power is maintained by the converter. The proposed controller is able to mitigate CPL effect of tightly regulated POLs and ensures stable operation of DC micro-grid under various disturbances. Proposed controller is implemented on a typical DC micro-grid feeding a CPL. The theoretical development is verified through simulations in MATLAB Simulink environment.","PeriodicalId":240337,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"2143 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130012946","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The design technique of this controller is simpler than that of the robust control techniques, such as H∞, control, μ-synthesis, applied in literature for converters. Moreover, 2 DOF control is already established in literature to provide robust compensation to boost converter. The performance of the buck boost converter is examined in the presence of (i) 60% perturbation in load current, (ii) 25% perturbation in input voltage and (iii) high frequency measurement noise. The 2 DOF control scheme has been shown to achieve the output regulation and obtain fast recovery in output voltage response, through simulation.","PeriodicalId":240337,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114220171","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Integrated ESS and UPS system not only improves the efficiency but also prevents the grid voltage error situation. Using this system, change of characteristic at the load makes unbalanced 3-phase voltage. The comparison shows considerable discrepancy between sensed phase voltage and actual phase voltage, when unbalance situation occurs. This discrepancy makes difficult to detect accurate phase voltage error, so it is hard to satisfy the standard for switching ESS to UPS system. In this paper, integrated ESS and UPS system is suggested. First, a conventional backstepping control (BSC) scheme is developed for the joint position tracking of the robot manipulator. Then, a FNNIBSC scheme is proposed to relax the requirement of detailed system information, to improve the robustness of BSC and to deal with serious chattering caused by the discontinuous function. In the FNNIBSC strategy, the FNN framework is designed to mimic the BSC law, and adaptive tuning algorithms for network parameters are derived in the sense of projection algorithm and Lyapunov stability theorem to ensure the network convergence as well as stable control performance. Numerical simulations of a two-link robot manipulator actuated by DC servo motors are provided to justify the claims of the proposed FNNIBSC system, and the superiority of the proposed FNNIBSC scheme is also evaluated by quantitative comparison with previous intelligent control schemes.","PeriodicalId":240337,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125285123","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
