It discusses in detail the design and the tuning approach for developing the waveguide transition. The transition limits the radiation leakage and is easy to fabricate. However, it is narrow band and could not be used for testing multiple antennas simultaneously. The working of the transition is validated by measuring the return losses of 77 GHz planar harmonic antenna which are in good agreement with the simulated results.","PeriodicalId":240170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130889652","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These techniques may increase the tube life span and they reduce the operating costs with the power RF transmitter. A complete block diagram of the tube power supply unit and an algorithm to control the tube electrodes supply voltages are carried out. The proposed circuit operates the vacuum tube with a decreased filament voltage, withal maintaining the RF output power at the same level as in the normal operation, at the nominal filament voltage. Although the design is intended to be used in Frequency Modulation (FM) RF equipment from particle accelerators, it may be successfully implemented in any power amplifier which uses vacuum tubes.","PeriodicalId":240170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134240621","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Low pass to band pass (LP-BP) frequency transformation is incorporated with the parametric Real Frequency Technique (RFT) for creating multiband network functions. In the new parametric approach, the poles of a low pass type impedance function are optimized under LP-BP transformation, for multiband matching of complex terminations. The resultant matching network is realized with resonance sections yielding multiband transducer power gain (TPG) characteristic.","PeriodicalId":240170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125362225","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has been found that due to an inappropriate orientation (choice) of profession, many young people drop higher education after a year or two of study or they eventually consider themselves professionally unfulfilled. Counseling and orientating high school graduates towards higher education and leading them to a professional career adapted to their skills and abilities is a complex work but which, apparently, does not strike the attention and importance deserved. This article presents a new research which was conducted in February 2016, based on a questionnaire, on a representative group of second year students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Craiova (FEE). It was mainly intended to find out the sources of information and influence of high school graduates about the FEE educational offer, their knowledge on the profession of engineer in the electrical field, framed in a sociohuman context regarding information on the high school graduated, place of residence, parents' educational status, etc., and some suggestions on improving counseling in choosing a career in electrical engineering.","PeriodicalId":240170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131545729","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It deals with magnetic interaction between the magnetic field produced by an independent source field (land) and ferromagnetic material representing the hull of a ship. The latter is represented by the magnetic curve B(H) deduced from the Rayleigh hysteresis model. The magnetic hysteresis was successfully integrated into the finite element calculation of the field produced by the ferromagnetic shell through the Rayleigh model. A distribution of the magnetic field at any point of the domain resolution is thus obtained and in particular at the vicinities of the ferromagnetic shell. The results of simulation obtained for various orientations of magnetic magnetization were compared, a good agreement was found with the literature.","PeriodicalId":240170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130752222","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By a voluntary experimental campaign we aimed at extracting the significant parameters that influence the limb currents (measured at lower leg). Three frequencies in the (30-110) MHz band and two input powers were fed into a biconical dipole antenna, while two polarizations were provided. A group of 15 persons were exposed one by one at 2m distance to the source, in three different postures. Descriptive statistics was applied to separate the field-, the anthropometric- and the postural-connected dosimetric parameters. A resonant body behavior was outlined and introducing of a “coupling coefficient” between body and field was proposed. Generally, the incident field level is not a proper predictor of the limb currents.","PeriodicalId":240170,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123598134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
