Stock market prediction is the process of attempting to predict the future values of a company based on its previous data to enhance the probability of a successful trade for an investor. In a financially volatile stock market, it is important to have a very precise prediction of future trends. Stock prediction involves the prediction in advance on whether the future market will close higher or lower compared to its opening levels. The stock market data is highly noisy, irregular and chaotic in nature. Hence proven to be a daunting task for market researchers and investors to make buy or sell decisions. A number of techniques as well as combinations of algorithms have been proposed over time to try and make a reliable and stable prediction. This paper aims at outlining the research work for Stock Market Prediction with special focus to daily, monthly and yearly stock predictions based on the technical approaches that have been proposed or implemented with varying levels of success rates. The algorithms being studied are implemented on a dataset and their accuracies are compared. Rules are proposed at the end of the implementation process to help a developer make predictions on their computers. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Date of Submission: 11-08-2020 Date of Acceptance: 27-08-2020 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------","PeriodicalId":239920,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Communication and Media Science","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124200862","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The internet has strengthened the ability to scan and learn faster, but it also influences learning and makes it complicated (Griffiths, 2000). This critical thinking led us to ponder over the relationship of technology with learning ability and forced us to examine its impact upon the youngsters’ attitude and expression towards the outer world. This research focuses on 3 to 13 years’ age group children as their developing minds can be easily ductile by frequent media exposure. News of kids committing suicide after playing online games, raise serious concern for everyone regarding the use of new media and its adverse effect. Our primary objective is to find out the reasons for the negative impact of media and new media without ignoring the positive side of the digital natives (Musgrove, 2008) (The Economist, 2010). The findings provide an insightful understanding of the technological influence on children's reasoning and learning ability, impact on their physical health, decision making ability, action and interaction to the outer world. The survey, observation, and case study method are applied to conclude the results.","PeriodicalId":239920,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Communication and Media Science","volume":"69 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131406829","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The stakeholder theory is a theory of organizational management and business ethics that accounts for various publics impacted by corporate units like customers, vendors, suppliers, employees, local communities, creditors, government agencies, environmentalists operating near the business entity, financial institutions and a host of other entities linked to the organisation or impacted by its activities. It instructs that there are many stakeholders in a company and their needs and appeal vary. It informs that the company’s success lies in satisfying all its stakeholders, and looking beyond those who might profit from the company’s stock. This analysis posits that the corporate environment as an ecosystem of interconnected assemblage, and they all need to be considered and contented to keep the organisation healthy and successful in the long run.","PeriodicalId":239920,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Communication and Media Science","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115084867","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the most permeable contexts of virtual communication is the working environment. The study, with a positive view of analyzing the potentials of new media, aims to demonstrate how a Whatsapp group can be a support to network in helping professions, starting from the hypothesis that instant support, albeit virtual, from the team, it can be a useful facilitator. To evaluate this hypothesis, the Whatsapp communication group of operators of an Italian nursing home are analyzed in the research. The use of qualitative-quantitative methodologies, including Social Network Analysis (Wolfe, 1997), Sentiment Analysis (Pang & Lee, 2008) and Diatextual Analysis (Manuti & Mininni, 2017), allows to analyze how the virtual group can be an innovative way to resolve critical professional situations and how interactions, studied through a Social Network Analysis, can be predictive of the structuring of the online working group. Specifically, in the study 2237 conversational shifts of an Italian nurse house Whatsapp group were analyzed, from which three situations characterizing the help professions were extracted: the management of emergencies, decision making and problem solving. The positive sentiment shows that Whatsapp is a facilitator for organizational well-being.","PeriodicalId":239920,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Communication and Media Science","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132309003","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
