An effective and efficient supply chain strategy should be capable of reducing costs and enhancing customer service level, and should be capable of enhancing the robustness of the supply chain. In this study, the robustness of different supply chain strategies under various uncertain environments is studied using simulated beer game. Firstly, discrete event simulation method is adopted to model supply chain with automatic pipeline inventory and order-based production control system (APIOPBCS). In order to deal with the non-linearity, such as capacity constraints, simulation experiments together with a hybrid Taguchi and dual-response surface method are performed to quantify the impact of a supply chain's design parameters on its dynamic performance. This research gives supply chain managers and designers a practical way to develop a trade-off between inventory cost and customer service level and to take better considerations about information-sharing strategies and bullwhip effect. Future work should develop a multi-response optimization towards robustness performances indicators of supply chain.","PeriodicalId":239892,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management","volume":"356 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116241476","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It provides opportunities to extend public or enterprise services to customize as city-area services in combination with city-specific data and infrastructure. Key additional components of such services include IoT-empowered real-time data and open data from public sectors. These emerging data leverages the potential of a city-area service platform. In order to successfully deploy services on a city infrastructure platform, it is critical to provide considerations of filling gaps between design phases and deployment phases. Frameworks of gap analysis are a key part of this type of platforms. An increasing need of smart city services presents a challenge for integration of city-wide information infrastructure including a wide range of sensor and open data. industries. The author proposes frameworks of gap analysis in smart-city service platforms in order to successfully organize the multiple sets of highly-vertical hardware and software integration of IoT services.","PeriodicalId":239892,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management","volume":"49 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132283914","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Japanese seru production system has received more attention with its efficiency and flexibility. In this paper, a problem of seru production system formulation under uncertain condition is researched. A multi-objective optimization model of seru production system formulation problem is developed to minimize the cost and maximize the service level of the system. The purpose of this paper is to formulate an energy production system which can response to the stochastic demand efficiently. Sample average approximation is used to approximate the expected objective of the programming. Non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II) is improved to solve the multi-objective optimization model. Numerical experiments are conducted to test the tradeoff between cost and service level.","PeriodicalId":239892,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123937322","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two services are scheduled by a random polling way. Customer heterogeneity and delay sensitivity are both taken into account. We first proved that the polling system is equivalent to two service rate-dependent dedicated systems. In supply chain area, with the rapid growth of internet technologies, a lot of emerging technologies have been applied in traceability systems. However, to date, nearly all of these systems are centralized which are monopolistic, asymmetric and opaque that could result in the trust problem, such as fraud, corruption, tampering and falsifying information. Besides, centralized system is vulnerable to collapse, since a single point of breakdown will lead the whole system to be crashed. Today, a new technology called the blockchain which is a ground-breaking innovation in decentralized information technology presents a whole new approach. However, since this technology is still in its early stages, it has some inherent defects, in which scalability become a primary and urgent one when we face the mass data in the real world. In this paper we will build a food supply chain traceability system for real-time food tracing based on HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), blockchain and Internet of things, which could provide an information platform for all the supply chain members with openness, transparency, neutrality, reliability and security. Furthermore, we introduce a new concept BigchainDB to fill the gap in the decentralized systems at scale. The paper concludes with a description of a use case and the challenges to adopt blockchain technology in the future food supply chain traceability systems are discussed.","PeriodicalId":239892,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126493062","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A PSS has been described as a manufacturing transition strategy, shifting the business focus from selling physical products only, to selling PSS, which are jointly capable of fulfilling specific client demands'. The change in human brain signals and their event-related potential (ERP) components are observed as a reflection of consumers' emotion and cognition when examining a buying process. The product-service system is able to fulfill user requirements by providing a mix of products and services. Services can improve the competitiveness of PSS, but there is lack of research on the psychological and neural mechanisms of products and service combination value perception. In this experiment, participants were shown PSS that were available for purchase. The ERP components were elicited by product-service systems and distributed over occipital region. This result helps us better understand the cognition are stimulated during the PSS decision making process, and in order to better understand the different perception of physical products and service. Based on the cognitional motivation of the consumer, the ERP component may be an indicators for measuring consumers' perception of PSS, providing a neural view of PSS decision-making.","PeriodicalId":239892,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126925034","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To solve this problem, we propose two robust methodologies to generate robust fleets reposition plans that mitigate rental demand uncertainty and imbalances. More specifically, an adjustable robust optimization model (AROM) and joint chance constraints model (CCM) are developed for dynamically assigning EVs and redistribute traffic flow problems with uncertainty. These two model both utilize the information (i.e., partial distributed information in CCM and all information in AROM) about the realized demand from the previous periods to make decision for future stages in an adjustable way. Computational test shows that necessity of accounting for uncertainty, as the total cost of nominal solution increase significantly even when only a small percentage of uncertainty is in place. Moreover, solutions generated by our models outperform deterministic solutions, not only on average objective value, but also in the gap with ideal solution.","PeriodicalId":239892,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116602251","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
