Selected exergetic measures in this study are as follows: fuel depletion ration, productivity lack ratio, fuel exergy factor, product exergy factor and improvement potential rates. The engine has low-pressure compressor (LPC) stages, high pressure compressor (HPC) stages, a single HP turbine (HPT), and finally three LPT stages. The exergetic assessment of the JT8D turbofan components provided here should be helpful for designing turbofan engines. Results from this study also evaluate effects of the maximum power setting on the exergetic measures of the engine components commonly used in medium range commercial aircrafts. To make maximum use of degrees of freedom of the full bridge inverter circuit switching device, the idea of the single polarity sine pulse width modulation (SPWM) is introduced to the sliding mode control in full bridge inverter to reduce the switching loss. Furthermore, zero forced zero sliding mode PWM is used to suppress voltage distortion caused by sliding mode surface passing zero modulation. Simulation results are given to verify the correctness and validity of implemented zero forced zero sliding mode PWM for full bridge inverter.","PeriodicalId":239044,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Automation and Control Engineering","volume":"144 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127695471","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Each student has its own characteristics in motivation. However, in a class, a single uniform curriculum is applied to all the students. It is difficult to teach every student according to their characteristics. It is necessary to understand student motivation. It needs a great labor to understand the every student motivation. In this paper, we propose a method to understand the student motivation factors. In this method, we get reports from students based on the contextual inquiry. The method extracts words from the report. Using the TF/IDF method, it calculates the weight of every word from the viewpoint of 4 major motivations. The method registers the set of a word and weight values into a dictionary. The method calculates the motivation factors of the target student, summing up the weight of words appearing in the report. High interest for every motivation factor is examined from 74 student reports. Even though there is accuracy difference with the length of the report, the method has classified the reports almost in the same way as manual judgment. The proposed method can reduce the efforts of teachers who have to understand motivation of various students. By this method, the motions in the inner boundary layer will be modeled by a uniform wall modeling mesh using an equilibrium equation. After getting the feedback of wall shear stress from the wall-model, LES mesh will recalculate the flow field so that a low resolution mesh can be used for LES on wall bounded flow from low Reynolds number to high. Two cases, Re=3300 and 30000, are set up to verify the wallmodel approach. Both cases show good agreement with the experiment or DNS result comparing to the pure LES mesh without wall modeling. The wall modeling LES approach could be used as a novel boundary layer simulation approach to avoid high computational cost.","PeriodicalId":239044,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Automation and Control Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130011537","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
