{"title":"The Creative Industry Based on the Customary and Cultural Tourism: Art Performance Activities through Bina Nagari in Gurun Panjang, Pesisir Selatan","authors":"Nerosti Nerosti","doi":"10.24821/jousa.v7i2.4504","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24821/jousa.v7i2.4504","url":null,"abstract":"This article provides information about the Community Service Program of the Assisted Nagari (PPNB) or Mitra Village, which also became the results of research in the Bayang District in 2016. The urgency of the study in Nagari Gurun Panjang Barat, which has been experiencing Nagari’s expansion for three years, is challenging to find a solution to improve the community’s economy. Even though the Nagari is a buffer for marine tourism destinations in the Mandeh tourist area, Carocok Painan Beach, and Sago Beach, it had not yet found a strategic solution that should be made. The solution is offered by completing the guided Nagari based on culture and tourism into a creative industry. The answer is to empower PKK (Family Welfare Program) groups of adult female and adolescents to be given skills with implementation methods, namely applying active learning strategies between instructors and community members in theory and practice. From the results of the training: (1) The groups of PKK are proficient and skilled at reading the Pasambahan pantun to welcome the bride and groom; (2) PKK female groups are adept at creating traditional clothing using takuluak that have been made by themselves and make-up that can be used for conventional marriage ceremonies and alek nagari; and (3) Youths have become proficient at playing Randai and established the Randai Padi Sarumpun Group, which was formed due to the implementation of PPNB. The training program was also complemented by religion and customs training to change the community’s attitudes and mindset into a civilized and cultured nation. The formation of positive behavior can lead people to creative industries and open themselves to receiving tourists who come to visit. Automatically, the training held can create welfare and employment for the community. Menuju Industri Kreatif Berbasis Wisata Adat dan Budaya: Bina Nagari Melalui Kegiatan Pentas Seni di Gurun Panjang, Pesisir Selatan. Artikel ini memberikan informasi tentang Program Pengabdian Masyarakat Nagari Binaan (Program Pengabdian Nagari Binaan/PPNB) atau Desa Mitra yang mewujudkan hilirisasi hasil penelitian di Kecamatan Bayang tahun 2016. Urgensinya Nagari Gurun Panjang Barat yang sudah tiga tahun pemekaran Nagari, belum mampu mencari solusi untuk meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat. Padahal Nagari tersebut merupakan penyangga destinasi wisata bahari kawasan wisata Mandeh, Pantai Carocok Painan, dan Pantai Sago. Faktor keterbelakangan pola berpikir, kecederaan tingkah laku dan kemiskinan, terutama para ibu dan remaja sangat memerlukan pembinaan. Mengatasi permasalahan tersebut ditawarkan solusi dengan menjadikan Nagari Binaan berbasis wisata beradat dan berbudaya menuju industri kreatif. This research began by observing the stages of making Bansi, then about production factors that affect the production process. The results of this study include; 1) the selection and processing of raw materials, 2) the use of tools, 3) the manufacturing phase of Bansi and the factors of production; 1) natural resource factor, 2) human resource factor, 3) capital resource factor and 4) expertise/ skill factor. The research was conducted with a case study approach and using qualitative methods. Data collection techniques were carried out using participatory observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. Organologi Bansi: Alat Musik Tiup Minangkabau Produksi Hamdan Thawil di Padangpanjang. Penelitian ini mengkaji proses produksi pembuatan alat musik tiup Minangkabau, Bansi, produksi Hamdan Thawil. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan mengamati tahapan pembuatan bansi, kemudian tentang faktor-faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi proses produksi. Hasil penelitian ini meliputi; 1) pemilihan dan pengolahan bahan baku, 2) penggunaan alat, 3) tahap pembuatan bansi dan faktor produksi; 1) faktor sumber daya alam, 2) faktor sumber daya manusia, 3) faktor sumber daya permodalan dan 4) faktor keahlian/keterampilan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan studi kasus dan menggunakan metode kualitatif. For that role, Tuban has accepted many foreign cultures brought by other nations, such as Tionghoa and Gujarat. Tuban’s improvement that involves international relationships influences the forms of tradition and culture shown in Tuban nowadays. It is believed that from those traditions and cultures owned by the people of Tuban, producing cloth is one of the oldest traditions maintained by the people. However, in the current condition, the practice is slowly transforming into modernity. The research aims to explain the change of tradition on Tuban’s traditional cloth through a cultural transformation approach to find fundamental ground data and explain external elements that intervene in the tradition. And the new forms result from it. Transformasi Identitas Batik Gedog Tuban, Jawa Timur. Kawasan Tuban di Jawa Timur, Indonesia sejak abad ke-11 telah berperan sebagai salah satu pelabuhan perdagangan kuno internasional. Atas perannya tersebut, Tuban mengalami banyak penerimaan kebudayaan- kebudayaan asing yang dibawa oleh bangsa seperti Tionghoa dan Gujarat. Perkembangan Tuban yang melibatkan hubungan antarbangsa itu secara nyata turut berpengaruh pula terhadap wujud-wujud tradisi dan kebudayaan yang tampak di Tuban saat ini. Diyakini dari sekian banyak tradisi dan kebudayaan yang ada, membuat kain diperkirakan telah dimiliki oleh masyarakat Tuban sejak lama. Namun, pada kondisi saat ini tradisi tersebut perlahan- lahan mengalami transformasi ke arah modernitas. The office interior now became an important part to represent clients to increase the look of an office. This study used a hermeneutic approach, with the main instrument is the researcher himself as a human instrument. Meanwhile, the analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. The results of the analysis revealed some points. Firstly, the form of postcolonial aesthetic hegemony in illustration pictures of Taman Pintar, is manifested by the use of pictures of the inventors of modern science. All of the inventors came from the West, and none of them came from the East. This has lead to the construction of discourse with Western bias. This phenomenon is a kind of losing the battle in the cultural constellation that is not supposed to be transformed and internalized to young generations that are going to be the next generations of this country in the future. Artikel ini membahas tentang visualisasi wayang kulit purwa karya Bambang Suwarno, seorang dalang, guru dalang, dan pengembang pakeliran padat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui visualisasi wayang kulit karya Bambang Suwarno. Metode yang digunakan adalah bentuk deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil kreativitas berkarya ditunjukkan dalam berbagai karya wayang dari kondisi yang ambang, ricuh, dan mencoba sesuatu yang belum ada dari berbagai jenis tokoh wayang. Pengakuan berbagai tanggapan dalang tentang karya kreasi ini menunjukkan kreativitas berkarya yang memiliki konsep, dan mendukung pentas pakeliran. Selain itu, diharapkan wayang semakin indah dilihat, menjadi penghubung antar tokoh dalam lakon, memenuhi sanggit pakeliran, menambah perbendaharaan tokoh wayang, dan memperkuat pengakuan wayang di mata dunia. This article discusses the visualization of wayang kulit purwa by Bambang Suwarno, a puppet master (dalang), a puppet master’s teacher, and a developer of a short shadow puppet performance. The objective of the research is to find out the visualization of wayang kulit by Bambang Suwarno. The method employed was descriptive qualitative one. Techniques of data collection were observation, interview, and documentation. The result of working creativity could be seen in many wayang works from the threshold, chaotic condition to trying something new that has never existed yet in a variety of wayang characters. Recognition of various mastermind’s responses to the work of Bambang Suwarno indicted the creativity of work that has a concept, and supports the performance stage. Clowns can be used by users to make a living by entertaining one of them by swaying. So that there needs to be comforted so that when using it, it can provide a positive impact that can affect users.By using qualitative descriptive research methods, this research is expected to help provide information about the comfort of space in the product of mampang clown costume so that it can provide benefits to its users to maximize their work.From the research conducted, it was found that clown costumes are quite different from clown costumes in general. From the outward appearance that has a characteristic by using a large mask and clothing that has a large form gives influence to its users. Glundhangan music is believed as archaic music of Madurese people. It even existed before era of metallophone gamelan. In Jember, glundhângan is closely related to pigeon and usually used for nyata and totta’an dhârâ events. Nyata is an event when a pigeon master succeeds to get his opponent’s pigeon. While totta’an dhârâ is a match of releasing pigeons together and then they, pigeons, come back to pajhudhun (pigeon house) of their masters. Glundhângan is a music which becomes winning signifier of pigeon’s master when he gets his opponent’s pigeon, and it is an accompanying music for pigeons release and return to home. Glundhângan consists of some wooden musical instruments like glundhâng, dhung-dhung, tong-tong, tek-tek, nèng-nèng and ghâghâmbhâng, and they are accompanied by vocal of tembhâng mamaca (ancient version) and kèjhungan (modern version). Every pajhudhun and pigeon master must have musical instruments dhung-dhung or tong-tong in a form of various kentongan made by wood. The music instrument is used by a master as means of communication to pigeons and people. Dhung-dhung instrument of the pigeon master is commonly sacred as other relics like keris. Commonly, the master supplies himself and pigeons with mythical power. It is dhung-dhung itself which becomes identity of glundângan music. For Madurese people, pigeon is treated as special animal. Pigeon is also a manifestation of supernatural power of its master. The game receives mixed opinions regarding its overly simple puzzles and confusing juxtaposition of the dream symbols; nevertheless, it is still praised for its storytelling and visuals used to build the momentum leading up to the resolution invoking strong emotions in players. Contrary to a popular belief that infants are incapable of understanding the events around them, in this game the infant can process his surroundings with the help of dreams and fantasies. In Freudian perspective, they will unconsciously affect an infant’s personality when growing up. This research aims to understand the infant’s dreams using Freud’s interpretation of dreams. The findings show that the dream elements are the wish-fulfilment part of the infant’s cognitive ability to cope with his surroundings. Moreover, using the concepts of abjection and hysteria, it is revealed that memories of his mother are often filled with feminine monstrosity to satiate her desire for having a penis by attempting to castrate him. Meskipun telah banyak studi yang meneliti hubungan antara humor dan semantik dalam konteks periklanan, masih sedikit yang mendiskusikan hubungan antara cuitan (tweet) humor, komunikasi bisnis, dan pragmatik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) menginvestigasi konstruksi cuitan humor berdasarkan delapan knowledge resources dan (2) mendiskusikan fungsi pragmatiknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan versi panjang dari General Theory of Verbal Humor oleh Attardo (Tsakona, 2013), yang dilengkapi dengan analisis fungsi teks oleh Brinker. Data penelitian terdiri dari 111 cuitan humor dari akun twitter resmi Burger King dari tahun 2016 hingga tahun 2018  yang telah diseleksi berdasarkan teori Style Humor Used (Martin, Puhlik-Doris, Larsen, Gray, & Weir, 2003). Pemilihan tahun tersebut didasarkan pada adanya korelasi positif antara penggunaan strategi humor di media sosial dengan peningkatan performa penjualan Burger King. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) Burger King menggunakan konstruksi humor yang berbeda di akun cuitannya, terutama pada Script Opposition, Language Mechanism, Target, dan Konteks; dan (2) Cuitan humor yang digunakan Burger King mempunyai fungsi yang berbeda-beda, yaitu untuk mempersonalisasikan merek (2016), meminta pelangganan untuk melakukan sesuatu (2017), dan mempromosikan produk (2018).                                                    AbstractOne of the most popular forms of communication strategy is humor. Although various studies have accounted the relation of humor and semantics in advertisement context, relatively little has discussed the link between humor tweets, business communication, and pragmatics. Therefore, the main aim of this study is to (1) investigate the construction of humor tweets based on eight knowledge resources and (2) discuss its pragmatic function. The study applies the extension version of Attardo’s General Theory of Verbal Humor (Tsakona, 2013), complemented with Brinker’s text functional analysis. Selected based on style humor used (Martin et al., 2003), the data for the study consist of 111 humor tweets from Burger King Twitter account between the year 2016 and 2018. The three years are selected because there seems to be a positive corellation between the use of humor strategy in social media and Burger King’s sales during those years.
