Factors that hindered BI included fears of retaliation, power dynamics, and perceived impacts on safety and career advancement. Facilitators of action included knowledge of SH and prior victimization; positionality and social identity were discussed as further impacting BI. Various types of bystander action were discussed, primarily focused on \"delayed\" responses. This cross-sectional study surveyed 108 Swedish Civic Orientation (CO) course leaders to assess organizational readiness to respond to GBV among newly arrived refugees. While most had received GBV training (78%) and rated their service's understanding as good (81%), fewer felt they had enough time (54%) or clear guidelines to act (27%). Open-ended responses highlighted needs for tailored materials, more training, stronger collaboration with support services, and dedicated time. The present study uses mixed methods evaluation data from an AFI program in the U.S. to assess survivors' perceptions of safety and the utility of participating in these interviews. Most participants felt the process was beneficial to their personal lives and criminal justice system engagement by: (a) allowing them to share their stories in more detail, (b) supporting their healing journeys, and (c) helping them feel safer through resource referral. The present study seeks to address this lacuna by qualitatively examining the accounts of 12 women survivors of violent widowhood rites in Nigeria. Participants took part in one-to-one interviews, and an interpretative phenomenological analysis identified four major themes of participants' experiences. A variety of experiences in terms of nature, length of widowhood rites, level of violence, hostilities, and intimidation were recounted by participants. A participatory action research/appreciative inquiry method, World Café Forum, was used to take a multi-stakeholder approach to explore prevention initiatives. Thirty-two individuals from 14 stakeholder organizations attended. Analysis established five recurring themes, overlayed by power imbalances: education and training; policy-led initiatives; holding people accountable; social information campaigns; and cultural change. Responsibility for addressing the issue is contested. The greatest opportunity to address AOD-facilitated sexual violence lies with organizations, with a focus on restorative justice. Understanding why college students endorse or reject this model can help foster safer, more respectful campus sexual relationships. Among 316 southern U.S. undergraduates (81% cisgender women, 83.2% White, 71.5% liberal, 65.2% heterosexual), affirmative consent beliefs correlated significantly with gender, sexual identity, and political orientation. Lower apathy toward the issue of sexual misconduct on their college campus, as well as more egalitarian gender role beliefs, predicted higher endorsement of affirmative consent among college students. Thematic analysis revealed the emotional impact of domestic violence and migration. Ten women survivors and 16 practitioners were interviewed individually. The study revealed that technology use was often ambiguous and frustrating, shaped by both perpetrators' digital control and broader social and digital inequalities. The analysis also demonstrated a crucial transition from disconnection to engagement once women were out of violent relationships, reflecting their emerging needs and interests in using technologies. College students who experienced sexual assault completed an online questionnaire. Results found that event centrality, and not PTG, mediated the relationship between RTS and CTS.
