This work proposes the use of a Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technique, specifically the BB84 protocol, with the objective of randomly generating a key for the encryption of information and distribute it securely afterwards. As a result, the same key is successfully generated at each end of the communication channel, and is never transmitted over it, for which it proposes the use of an Optical Frequency Comb Source (OFCS), seeking to increase the capacity of the optical medium to support more transmitter-receiver pairs (Client-Server)","PeriodicalId":235918,"journal":{"name":"2021 Third South American Colloquium on Visible Light Communications (SACVLC)","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130481189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In radio frequency (RF) energy harvesting (EH) devices, the energy in electromagnetic (EM) waves is captured and turned into a stable low power energy source for various uses, a key component in this process is the harvester's rectifier, of which, its non linear behavior greatly increases the complexity of PCE estimation, making approximate models inaccurate, and precise models extremely complex. This is why, in this work, a set of simpler solutions, for rectifier's device PCE estimation are proposed. Through the use of data science and Machine Learning, Support Vector Regressor (SVR), Random Forest Regressor (RFR), and Neural Network (NN) models are trained and compared, using mean square error and absolute mean error as metrics for validity, obtaining a viable model and defined steps for improvement.","PeriodicalId":235918,"journal":{"name":"2021 Third South American Colloquium on Visible Light Communications (SACVLC)","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126273475","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An RIS has boosted the concept of Smart Radio Environment (SRE) to enable Massive Connectivity with Massive MIMO System. RIS and Massive MIMO are both key enablers at the infrastructural level while millimeter wave (mm-Wave) and Tera Hertz (THz) communication are the key enablers at spectrum level for 5G and 6G. In this article, we discuss some potential candidate technologies and applications using mm-Wave Massive MIMO that can be well equipped with RIS in order to play a vital role in future wireless communication. The applications include Unnamed Aerial Vehicle and Visible Light Communications (VLC). In particular, we discuss and provide insights for VLC technology using RIS. As far as we know, these novel technologies have not been discussed and analyzed in a joint manner so far.","PeriodicalId":235918,"journal":{"name":"2021 Third South American Colloquium on Visible Light Communications (SACVLC)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124062163","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The simulation model of propulsion system and propeller dynamics have been developed by MATLAB-Simulink environment and his Simscape library. The main controller is composing for three controllers: Electric motor controller, an engine controller and energy manager. The last deliver set point to individual controllers. All PID controllers have been tuned by root locus methodology. Performance results was made into a specific flight scenario. All controllers have performed good results, showing a correct use of energy sources into the unmanned aerial vehicle unmanned.","PeriodicalId":235918,"journal":{"name":"2021 Third South American Colloquium on Visible Light Communications (SACVLC)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115422772","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is required that in operations, the local structure of each service is fault-tolerant and that large amounts of data are transmitted online to executives to make effective and efficient decisions. The paper proposes an architecture that enables strategic text analysis on the Internet of Things devices through task partitioning with multiple agent systems and evaluates the feasibility of the design by building a prototype that improves communication. The results validate the system's design because Raspberry Pi can execute text mining algorithms and agents in about 3 seconds for 197 texts. This work emphasizes multiple agents for text analytics because the algorithms, along with the agents, use about 70% of a Raspberry Pi CPU.","PeriodicalId":235918,"journal":{"name":"2021 Third South American Colloquium on Visible Light Communications (SACVLC)","volume":"41 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133735065","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
