The Internet Addiction Test (IAT) is one of the most practical tools for diagnosing Internet addiction. The aim of the present study was to investigate validation of the Persian version of the questionnaire using Differential Item Functioning (DIF) analysis. DIF evaluates how people in different subgroups comprehend the same questionnaire item. Methods : A cross section study on a sample of 317 students of Mashhad University of Medical was conducted. To collect data, the Internet Addiction Questionnaire and demographic information and Behavioral Features Checklist were administered. Multiple Indicator Multiple Causal Model (MIMIC) and Multiple Group Multiple Indicator Multiple Causal Model (MG-MIMIC) were used to investigate the differentiating of items. Results: The mean score of the IAT questionnaire was 40.92±11.70, which based on the cut-off point of 46, 29.5% of students were addicted to the Internet. The results of the MIMIC models indicated that there was no difference in each of the IAT questionnaire items. Also, considering the grouping structure did not have much effect on identifying DIF, because the results of the MG-MIMIC model were almost the same as the MIMIC model. Conclusion : Due to the lack of significant DIF in IAT questions and having measurement invariance this study can be considered as empirical support for the IAT questionnaire as a valid and structurally stable tool.","PeriodicalId":235399,"journal":{"name":"Health Monitor Journal of the Iranian Institute for Health Sciences Research","volume":"164 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122358567","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of stress management training on stress and anxiety level of the mothers of premature infants admitted to NICU. Methods: The present study was a quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population of the study consisted of all mothers of infants admitted to NICU in Shahid Sadoughi Hospital. Using convenient sampling method, 60 mothers were selected and randomly assigned in two groups the experimental and the control groups. Both groups completed the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale Questionnaire (DASS-21) in the pre-test and post-test stages. Experimental group received stress management for eight weeks including a 90-minutes training session twice per week. The control group receive the routine care. The preand post-test data was analyzed to achieve the study objective. Results: The results showed that the mean and standard deviation of the stress and anxiety scores of the experimental group were 16.33 ± 1.88 and 15.30 ± 2.18 in the pre-test and 12.13 ± 1.91 and 10.41 ± 1.99 in the post-test. also the mean and standard deviation of the stress and anxiety scores of the control group were 15.97 ± 1.81 and 15.07 ±1.96 in the pre-test and 15.63 ± 2.15 and 14.90 ± 1.82 in the post-test. Therefore, stress management training has significantly reduced the stress scores and anxiety of mothers of premature infants admitted to the intensive care unit in the experimental group (P<0.001). Conclusion: Stress management training can be used as an effective intervention to reduce stress and anxiety in preterm infants admitted to the neonatal intensive care units.","PeriodicalId":235399,"journal":{"name":"Health Monitor Journal of the Iranian Institute for Health Sciences Research","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121225931","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Governance, standards, surveying methods and surveyors are the four main pillars of an accreditation program. Validity of an accreditation program depends largely on the performance and behavior of the surveyors. Therefore, this study seeks to identify the typology of styles and methods used by the hospitals accreditation surveyors. Methods: This qualitative research was conducted using 35 purposeful semi-structured interviews with surveyors of the accreditation program and hospital managers. We employed thematic analysis method for data analysis. The insights from a panel of experts were then sought to verify the accuracy and precision of the styles. Results: Overall six styles including mainly Disciplined, Personalized, Participatory, Interrogative, Systematic and Explorative were emerged to be practiced by the accreditation surveyors while evaluating the hospitals. Conclusion: Cognizance of surveyors’ style might play a role in organizing effective assessment teams and their optimal distribution in a way to enhance the learning and improve surveyors' capabilities and skills. Moreover, it is possible to arrange the evaluation teams in a way to suit the surveyors’ encounter with various organizational environments. It is expected that paying attention to the results of this study by managers and policy makers in the field of accreditation help to create positive results in the accreditation process of hospitals.","PeriodicalId":235399,"journal":{"name":"Health Monitor Journal of the Iranian Institute for Health Sciences Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130242866","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
