It acknowledges that manufacturing industries face an increasing amount of competition in the market, utilizing automation and robotics to increase productivity. This pressure has caused a reduction in manual labor which can lead to increased stress, anxiety, and depression among industrial workers. Additionally, manufacturing employers often fail to provide adequate mental health services to the employees, leading to further distress and disruption in the workplace. The paper presents several strategies for managing mental health in the manufacturing workforce, such as providing mandatory mental health training and support for employees, utilizing mindfulness practice and mental health resources, and engaging with a range of mental health providers. It also suggests the implementation of flexible working practices to promote employee engagement, the use of restorative practices, and the introduction of early interventions such as peer-mentoring and employer-paid leave for dealing with mental health issues. The paper highlights the importance of follow-up support to ensure the effectiveness of mental health management efforts and the ongoing maintenance of improved mental health in the workplace.","PeriodicalId":234766,"journal":{"name":"ICTACT Journal on Management Studies","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125315085","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main motivators tend to be the increased flexibility and autonomy that comes with working from home, as well as the potential for increased productivity and efficiency when there are no distractions from the office. Additionally, having the ability to work remotely can help to reduce stress levels, as employees don’t have to worry about commuting or dealing with distractions in the workplace. For those who are parents, the ability to work from home can provide more time to spend with family, which can be a major source of motivation. The motivational effects of working from home for Information Technology employees can vary. The employees may find it liberating to work from home, while others may find it isolating and have difficulty staying motivated. However, there are some common practices that can help to promote motivation for IT employees working from home. These include setting realistic goals, providing feedback, recognizing employee achievements, and encouraging collaboration. Additionally, managers should ensure that employees have the necessary resources to do their jobs effectively, such as access to secure network connections and adequate communication tools. Finally, employers should ensure that employees have a good work-life balance, and make sure to provide support and guidance when needed.","PeriodicalId":234766,"journal":{"name":"ICTACT Journal on Management Studies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133918202","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently these researches are focusing on how to combine CMMI with Agile. In addition, most of the software development organizations all over the world are small or medium, not large. Such small and medium-sized organizations play a great role in the software industry. However, there is lack of case studies that small and medium-sized organizations implement CMMI process areas to establish their development management systems, especially practical and helpful case studies that such organizations may apply to combine with Agile for improving their management systems. Our goal is to share our experience in successful improvements of development process under the industrial environment from an empirical point of view. And these results cannot be generalized, but they point out that under some circumstances in small and medium-sized organizations, a combination strategy of CMMI and Agile can be a possible option for software professionals. In this paper we present our experience of implementing a DMS (Development Management System), in which CMMI is combined with Agile, for a small and medium-sized software development aiming at CMMI level 3. Moreover, we give the result that our organization applied this DMS.","PeriodicalId":234766,"journal":{"name":"ICTACT Journal on Management Studies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128823436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
