The supply chain is not limited to the operations related to the physical movement of goods, but also includes the management of relations with suppliers and customers. However, the supply chain management, through the integration and coordination of both information and goods flow, is a main factor of the well-developed customer service. The changes in military logistics imposed the necessity of implementation of the modern information technologies in the Polish Armed Forces. The Polish Army has adopted the Integrated Multi-level Information System of the Ministry of Defense (ZWSI RON). The article describes various technologies used in supply chain management including information, communication and automatic identification technologies. The author emphasizes that modern technologies are essential to enhance supply chain competitiveness and performance by improving the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the logistic system. Therefore, an important element to be considered in the design, construction and exploitation of systems using biometrics is the question of identifying a specific person and assigning him or her to the relevant data contained in the documents or databases. The ability and, in some cases, the need to use biometric data results from the growing use of information technology in everyday life and the ever increasing attempts to steal the identity of those using these technologies. Modern IT systems often have a high level of security in terms of protection and access to data, and in particular the management of security systems. The article presents an outline of the theory related to the possibility of using and applying biometric data to provide security and have the ability to inspect officers of various departments. The political conflict in Ukraine, which we have witnessed since 2013, entered a military phase. The European Union, in its sense of responsibility for shaping security at its borders, should have reacted adequately to circumstances. The implementation of the EU crisis response process occurred gradually, using, above all, diplomatic sources of crisis solving. All the same, despite the military capabilities for conflict management, the European Union did not decide to use them for shaping security in the Eastern part of Ukraine. The authors have attempted to describe the involvement of the European Union bodies in this process and to evaluate its effectiveness.In assessing such a critical but also sensitive area that is shaping security, it is important to remember about the limitations of the European Union as an organization consisting of sovereign states functioning in the international environment.The European Union, in its actions, needs to rely on the consensus of the variety of national interests of the member states as well as the credibility in implementing universal values, which the organization commonly declares and promotes among the international community.","PeriodicalId":233227,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science of the Gen. Contemporary practices of disclosing information to unauthorized persons and systems are the reason for difficulties in this concept implementation. At every step we encounter situations where information is extracted or obtained illegally from different sources. The main purpose of this paper is to present the issue of information confidentiality protection in cyberspace, as a complex, full of contradictions problem of techno-social character. The role of information confidentiality in functioning of a society, organization and individual has been described. The most important information confidentiality threats have been characterized and the description of a number of incidents illustrating those threats has been quoted. Contemporary security threats have been presented as well as selected methods of information confidentiality protection transmitted in ICT networks. The characteristics of protection systems of information confidentiality have been analyzed, with special attention paid to their functionality and vulnerability to existing threats.
