This research uses meta-analysis. The data in this research is secondary data from the results of research that have been investigated by other researchers. The data collection technique is using a literature study by looking for articles related to STEM learning. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling technique. The sources of the research are 20 articles with national and international accreditation with criteria according to the problem formulation. This meta-analysis uses Cohen's d. effect size calculation method. The results obtained are first, based on the integrated learning model of the STEM approach that the STEM approach without the integrated model obtains the highest average effect value with an average effect of 2.93. Second, based on the learning material, the highest average value of the effect is on the dynamic electric material and Newton's law of gravity. Third, the application of the STEM approach to creative and critical thinking skills has an average effect of 2.66 for critical thinking skills, while creative thinking skills have an average effect of 1.47. Thus the STEM approach affects improving students' creative and critical thinking skills through integration with high school physics learning models and materials.","PeriodicalId":232378,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Geliga Sains: Jurnal Pendidikan Fisika","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125900222","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is based on the results of interviews with students of SMAN Plus Sukowono. The magic number method is a method using the Pythagorean principle through special numbers that are often encountered in relativistic energy problems. The purpose of the research was to obtain data on student responses to the magic number method as an alternative solution to the relativistic kinetic energy problem that makes it easier for students to solve relativistic energy problems. The research method used by the researcher is the survey research method with descriptive analysis. The respondents used were 28 students of class XI MIPA SMAN Plus Sukowono and used an assessment instrument in the form of a response questionnaire. Student response questionnaires were compiled based on Stellen M. Chafe's theory which was based on the cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. The results of the research on student responses to the magic number method as an alternative solution to the problem of solving relativistic kinetic energy problems obtained percentage data on the cognitive dimension of 72.93% in the positive category, the affective dimension of 80.63% in the very positive category and the cognitive dimension in 75% in the positive category. The average of the overall response dimensions is 76.19% in the positive category. This research can be concluded that the magic number method can be used in physics learning the theory of relativity.","PeriodicalId":232378,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Geliga Sains: Jurnal Pendidikan Fisika","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125976047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research design uses a 4-D design which is limited to the Development stage. The subjects of this study were students of class X IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo in the 2021/2022 academic year. The development of PhET simulation-based worksheets is seen in 3 indicators, namely validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Based on the results of the validity shows that the standard of the feasibility of content, language, appearance, construction, and readability with a percentage of 67% is included in the valid category. This shows that the PhET simulation-based worksheets meet the validity criteria. While practicality is seen from the implementation of activities in worksheets by teachers, it shows that all aspects of activities are carried out with an average percentage for all meetings of 96%, while at the first meeting one aspect is not implemented, namely the teacher does not explain the display on the PhET simulation. This shows that the PhET simulation-based worksheets meet the criteria for practicality. For effectiveness, it is seen from the aspect of student activities and student learning outcomes. The percentage of student activity for all meetings is 89%, and student activity aspects of accessing PhET simulation links and conducting experiments on PhET simulations are relatively easy aspects for students to do. The results of the analysis of student test data after using the PhET simulation-based worksheets showed that the cognitive domain of C3 had a greater difference between pretest and posttest of 52% with an increase in N-gain value of 0.8% including high criteria compared to C2 and C4. This shows that the PhET simulation-based worksheets meet the effectiveness criteria.","PeriodicalId":232378,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Geliga Sains: Jurnal Pendidikan Fisika","volume":"386 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122848925","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
