Calculated the effectiveness of the proposed method for preventing the deposition of particles on the surface of solar panels, which showed the effectiveness of cleaning the air masses by electrostatic devices. Recommendations are proposed on changing the design of the device and increasing the natural charge of particles (creating a larger artificial charge) that fall into the device's area of operation due to the use of corona discharge. The developed protective device meets all requirements of regulatory and technical documentation and gives a positive economic effect in an acceptable time frame. The main task in calculating the reliability indicators is to estimate the recovery duration and the failure flow parameter in order to determine the likely economic damage, which also depends on the size and type of load. This paper proposes a unification of calculations for assessing the reliability of external power supply circuits of the main step-down substations with a voltage of 35 kV and higher, which makes it possible to speed up the process of choosing the optimal switchgear circuit and evaluate the damage from a power outage. The developed algorithm makes it possible to determine, based on the technical specifications for designing, the value of the failure flow parameter and recovery time for switchgear circuits, converting them into a structural-analytical circuit that reflects the logic of the circuit in heavy duty mode (including redundancy of individual circuits, bypass, bus junction and section switches) In the calculation, an analytical method was used, based on the equivalentization of the structural scheme using the forced downtime coefficients. Two approaches to the organization of cable line service are presented. The benefits of a risk-based approach are shown. The main factors affecting the state of cable insulation are indicated. Their division into three categories according to the mechanisms of influence on insulation is given. It is shown that numerous heterogeneous factors makes the task of assessing the cable lines insulation state difficult to formalize. The complex nature of the task of assessing the insulation status of cable lines also leads to the need to use the expert knowledge to increase the validity of the final result. It is shown that at present such problems are easily solved by using the mathematical apparatus of fuzzy systems or fuzzy logic. Systems based on fuzzy logic make it possible to adequately represent the experts knowledge of a subjective or incomplete nature. But these systems cannot automatically acquire knowledge for use in the mechanisms of conclusions, which does not allow to fully overcome the subjectivity of expert knowledge. It is shown that in order to overcome this problem it is necessary to switch to the fuzzy neural networks which allow to acquire new knowledge in the process of their work. Each machine is regarded as a single structure that consists of actuator, muffs and working mechanism. After that, the conclusion about efficiency of the whole machine unit is done on the basis of inference about technical state of elements and joints. Broad range of the various methods and diagnostic facilities has to be used for the technical state estimation of individual elements of the machine units, whereupon necessity appears in applying of the integral criterion that allows to estimate technical state of the whole machine unit. Reed switches are proposed as current sensors, since they can simultaneously act as a current sensor, a current relay, and an analog-to-digital converter. The known overcurrent protections utilising reed switches are analyzed. The three closest alternatives of the proposed protection scheme are considered in more detail. A certain disadvantage of these protection schemes is failure to trip in case of a short circuit if reed switch contacts are stuck. Another disadvantage is the possibility of a false tripping if an interference occurs in the reed switch control winding due to a magnetic field. To eliminate the first disadvantage, a corresponding time relay is proposed to be started after each tripping of the reed switch with a delay shorter than the protection time for the interval between the first and the considered tripping of the reed switch. To eliminate the second disadvantage, the control winding and contacts of the specified reed switch are proposed to be connected in series to the control winding and contacts of the blocking reed switch. The latter has normally closed contacts, which open only in case of interference in the control winding circuit. The operation of the protection circuits and the measurement device has been analyzed in various modes of operation. To adopt advanced systems for diagnosis and power monitoring of 110+ kV output transformers, one needs to prove such adoption feasible, to use optics and SMART grid technologies; such adoption determines further grid development and serves better grid monitoring and automation. Equipment visualization helps evaluate its condition and decide reasonably on how to maintain it. The paper describes a novel method for displaying diagnostic data, which generates a cognitive graphical image of a code matrix on the address space of the ROM; the image shows normalized equivalents of multiple optimal control states to save 5% to 40% of electricity making the equipment more energy-efficient at minimum energy costs. Also is the proposed method for estimating the piezoelectric sensor state, integrated with the SWCNT needle and charge amplifier when evaluating “SWCNT needle-surface” contact in real-time scanning AFM. Many micro-machining techniques have been employed to fabricate signal oscillations piezoelectric sensors and piezoelectric nanoactuators. The properties of SWCNT, for example, high strength, many times greater than the strength of steel, makes them suitable elements for use as needles probe microscopy. A comparison between observed and estimated waiting times in different groups is shown in graphical form. The detailed processing of the selected process segments is given. In terms of opportunities the article prompts to choose approach for implementation the activity. Hazardous voltages can be induced on OPL structural parts due to OPL electromagnetic influence, thus creating health risks for the personnel servicing the pipeline. The highest voltages are observed in unsymmetrical modes when currents flow in the earth. Therefore, the problem of quantitative assessment of the induced voltages levels in the presence of longitudinal and transversal unsymmetry is urgent. To solve this problem, methods of simulating non-symmetrical modes of electrical energy systems (EES) were used; the methods were developed at the Irkutsk State Transport University and are based on the EES elements multiphase representation. The simulation was implemented using the Fazonord software application. The technique has been proposed, which allows to determine the induced voltage generated by high-voltage power lines on the parallel surface pipeline in unsymmetrical modes. The technique can be used to develop actions aimed at the protection of personnel operating pipelines in areas located in zones of electromagnetic effects of high-voltage OPL. The technique can be generalized in the event of non-parallel length of exposure of the pipeline and OPL. The article contains an analytical review of the starting devices of the gas turbine engine of an aircraft. The article analyzes the starting characteristics of an aircraft gas turbine engine, as well as the requirements for the design of electric starting devices of an aircraft engine. Options for building starter-generator systems to increase the level of electrification of aircraft onboard equipment, within the framework of the concept of “more electric aircraft”, are considered. Along with increasing the level of electrification, the problem of increasing the energy efficiency of existing electrical equipment of aircraft is acute. One of the criteria for the effective use of aviation equipment is the introduction of multifunctional onboard units and units.
