By using the conventional CMOS thyristor structure the frequency of the output sinusoidal waveform is of the order of KHz, which has been further improved in proposed CMOS thyristor based ring oscillator. The frequency of the output sinusoidal waveform in the proposed structures is of the order of few Hz. In addition to this static power dissipation of the CMOS ring oscillator has been further improved in the proposed CMOS thyristor based ring oscillator.","PeriodicalId":229600,"journal":{"name":"2014 Recent Advances in Engineering and Computational Sciences (RAECS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128886908","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The need of the hour is proper utilization of resources. In developing countries where cultivation of land and crop production is a major source of income it becomes mandatory to manage the land in a beneficial manner. Moisture content in soil is optimal for plant growth. All the water held in the soil is not available to plants. Much of the water is available in the soil as a thin film which serves as a medium for supply of nutrients to growing plants. The paper describes design of a capacitance based soil moisture sensor which helps in finding moisture content of soil also depicting the variations in analog voltage with the change in moisture content. This low cost portable instrument can find many applications like drip irrigation and measuring moisture content of pulses, grains and wheat. India being an agricultural country where many people's livelihood depends on agricultural output it can provide to be highly beneficial.","PeriodicalId":229600,"journal":{"name":"2014 Recent Advances in Engineering and Computational Sciences (RAECS)","volume":"206 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122600995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Routing in static wireless sensor network sensor nodes near the sink consume all its energy there by network partition occurs (hot-spot problem). To avoid hot-spot problem a routing in wireless sensor network using mobile sink can be used, where a sink node is provided mobility which gathers information from the sensor nodes using 1-hop communication there by reduces a hot-spot problem and increases network lifetime and decreases energy consumption. In this paper types of wireless sensor network are presented, various routing protocols in wireless sensor network using mobile sink is also presented. In PPDM systems data is available amongst multiple parties collaborating to achieve cumulative mining accuracy. The vertically partitioned data available with the parties involved cannot provide accurate mining results when compared to the collaborative mining results. To overcome the privacy issue in data disclosure this paper describes a Key Distribution-Less Privacy Preserving Data Mining (KDLPPDM) system in which the publication of local association rules generated by the parties is published. The association rules are securely combined to form the combined rule set using the Commutative RSA algorithm. The combined rule sets established are used to classify or mine the data. The results discussed in this paper compare the accuracy of the rules generated using the C4.5 based KDLPPDM system and the C5.0 based KDLPPDM system using receiver operating characteristics curves (ROC).","PeriodicalId":229600,"journal":{"name":"2014 Recent Advances in Engineering and Computational Sciences (RAECS)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117094403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed framework extracts features from frames of the audio by Mel frequency cepstral coefficients. The features extracted from the audio clip of the chorus were matched against the features of the whole clip by dynamic time warping. The number of matches found was determined by self similarity matrix. The experimental results indicate that the minimum distance matches between query and reference clip is successfully achieved. The proposed scheme was tested in a database of audio signals and the experimental results are encouraging. The proposed scheme was implemented and tested using a database of audio signals with accuracy up to 98%.","PeriodicalId":229600,"journal":{"name":"2014 Recent Advances in Engineering and Computational Sciences (RAECS)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128355768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A sequence consisting of difference values between pixel pair and a sequence consisting of prediction error is computed and histogram is made. Differential pair mapping is used to hide the secret data in the cover image. One most important characteristic of proposed hiding scheme is to use adaptive embedding means hiding two bits together in one pixel pair. One major drawback of two dimensional histogram scheme is that only one bit can be hidden in one pixel pair but proposed scheme offers high hiding capacity and good marked image quality. Another advantage of proposed scheme is that no location map is required for this scheme hence overhead information reduces.","PeriodicalId":229600,"journal":{"name":"2014 Recent Advances in Engineering and Computational Sciences (RAECS)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124625207","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
