The approximation uses a function with an S-shaped graph with variable gradient. The theory is applied to 2D FIR filter design. The proposed method is simple and performs fast. It has been shown that the offered approximation has better properties than the minimax approximation. Consequently, the designed 2D filters possess improved selectivity.","PeriodicalId":229131,"journal":{"name":"2018 26th Telecommunications Forum (TELFOR)","volume":"215 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127900633","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The performance analysis compares two network disk configurations, practically evaluating two different network protocols using identical physical disk configurations. One network drive is configured to operate as an iSCSI block device, while the other operates as a network share disk using CIFS protocol. Testing procedure is based on the use of DiskSpd tool and encompasses measurement of the flow rate, number of the operations and the average response time. Based on the results, iSCSI shows significantly higher flow rates and lower delay values as the size of the data block grows. In smaller blocks, the differences between iSCSI and CIFS are almost negligible.","PeriodicalId":229131,"journal":{"name":"2018 26th Telecommunications Forum (TELFOR)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130027024","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Passband attenuation characteristic of this prototype digital filter is placed in the area between Butterworth and Elliptic attenuation characteristics. By complementary filter decomposition technique this filter is decomposed into parallel connection of two allpass filters. Then lowpass/highpass filters are obtained by adding/subtracting of these allpass filters, respectively. The main advantages of this kind of filters are hardware reduction, cost savings and smaller sensitivity to digital word length changing.","PeriodicalId":229131,"journal":{"name":"2018 26th Telecommunications Forum (TELFOR)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133895980","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Measurements are used to validate and adjust the decay acoustic model, and simulations are performed with an outdoor environment setup, where the implementation is fulfilled and compared with real acoustic measurements. The performance in both scenarios is studied, in terms of accuracy, with the variation of the number of sensors nodes used in the model. The field implementation shows that results are aligned with simulation ones, validating the acoustic model and the use of metaheuristic methods such as Elephant Herding Optimization for solving the localization problem.","PeriodicalId":229131,"journal":{"name":"2018 26th Telecommunications Forum (TELFOR)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133806243","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has been recognized that laboratory session is an essential element in computer science education, as it supplements the classroom presentations as many topics cannot be treated adequately without first-hand experience in using actual computer systems. However, current platforms for online learning courses do not pay enough attention to the laboratory sessions. In this paper, we identify requirements and explore novel paradigms together with state-of-the-art technologies in the area of education and infrastructure management in order to deal with previously mentioned issues of laboratory session scalability. As an outcome, we propose a system architecture for execution of computer science courses laboratory sessions using container-based virtualization and paradigms of blended learning and consider its implementation variants.","PeriodicalId":229131,"journal":{"name":"2018 26th Telecommunications Forum (TELFOR)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116997480","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
