This leads the current paper to argue how entrepreneurial work by employees influences employees’ approach to running their businesses in India and Slovenia. Random samples of employees in India and Slovenia were surveyed from 2012 to 2019 by Global Entrepreneurship Monitor. The current study emphasized the significant role of entrepreneurial work by employees in their potential to become independent entrepreneurs, albeit with differences between India and Slovenia. Our main theoretical contribution is bridging the gap between dynamic capability and entrepreneurial work by employees at the macro level in India and Slovenia. Additionally, the study provides practical suggestions for Indian policymakers and Slovenian owners/managers.","PeriodicalId":228142,"journal":{"name":"Naše gospodarstvo/Our economy","volume":"24 1","pages":"62 - 72"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139191497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We found that the assessment of innovation success in sustainable development management practices, specifically aimed at reducing drinking water consumption in the production sector, comprises two dimensions: measuring success in water use innovations and innovative success in water treatment and conservation. The study also found that the assessment of innovation success in sustainable development management practices, particularly focused on reducing drinking water consumption in the production sector, is influenced by reporting on sustainable water management, innovations in organizational systems, innovations in materials and processes for sustainable water use, and analysis with goal setting in water use innovations. This comprehensive analysis provides organizations without established metrics with a tool to identify potential areas for improvement, thereby enhancing ecological methods and increasing production efficiency.","PeriodicalId":228142,"journal":{"name":"Naše gospodarstvo/Our economy","volume":"39 3","pages":"12 - 25"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139193623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

After the overview of the European legislation and the most recent literature review on the topic, the article deploys a method of the Vector Autoregressive Model (VAR). The analysis includes weekly data over eight years (2015-2022). Our results indicate a positive correlation between Brent crude oil futures prices and the value of the European Renewable Energy Total Return (ERIX) index. The estimated bivariate VAR model indicates a statistically significant relationship, meaning that past values of the ERIX Index may be used to predict future Brent crude oil prices in the long run. Considering the most recent systemic disturbance in the world’s commodity market, future research should consider longer time series and possible relationships of other macroeconomic factors.","PeriodicalId":228142,"journal":{"name":"Naše gospodarstvo/Our economy","volume":"32 1-2","pages":"1 - 11"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139194814","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Evidence From Croatia","authors":"Doroteja Mandarić, Anica Hunjet","doi":"10.2478/ngoe-2023-0023","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2478/ngoe-2023-0023","url":null,"abstract":"Abstract The empirical link between education and consumption varies depending on contextual factors. Some studies have sought to find out the relationship between education and environmental concerns. Evidence shows that education levels might significantly impact environmental actions. Still, some research indicates that the influence of education might not considerably affect green attitudes or depend on various contextual factors. This study explores whether the education level of Croatian consumers influences their attitudes toward environmental care, recycling, and waste disposal. It aims to determine whether there exists a statistically significant difference in attitudes among consumers with varying levels of education. By exploring this relationship, the article aims to shed light on the potential role of education in shaping consumers’ environmentally friendly behaviours. By addressing this research gap and examining the specific case of Croatia, the article aims to contribute to the broader understanding of how education influences environmental consciousness and action, ultimately contributing to global efforts for a more sustainable future.","PeriodicalId":228142,"journal":{"name":"Naše gospodarstvo/Our economy","volume":"78 11","pages":"51 - 61"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139193719","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article focuses on the impact of migration in 21 areas, with particular attention given to Slovakia and Germany. It is based on data collected from the Global Trade Analysis Project database and the experimental design by Walmsley, Ahmed, and Parsons, with adjustments to capture current global migration flows. The findings indicate that the immigration of new unskilled workers negatively impacts the real wages of unskilled residents, decreasing them by almost 3%, while the arrival of skilled workers increases them by 0.73%. Similarly, the real wages of skilled residents decrease by 2.62% due to the arrival of new skilled migrants, while unskilled migration results in its increase by 0.53%. These findings can aid policymakers in developing policies that maximize the benefits of migration. This research provides new insights into the wage effects of migration in different areas, focusing on Germany and Slovakia.","PeriodicalId":228142,"journal":{"name":"Naše gospodarstvo/Our economy","volume":"27 1","pages":"38 - 50"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139192095","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An important aspect of applying blockchain technology is the creation of so-called non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Although the name resembles cryptocurrencies because of the word token, in practice, NFTs do not represent electronic money but a digital certificate of ownership of an asset. They effectively behave like tokens whose total supply is one, and it is immutable. Considering their technical and conceptual basis, NFTs can be defined as digital certificates of ownership based on blockchain technology, the possession of which proves the indisputable ownership of the purchased digital asset. The subject of this paper is the conceptual basis of NFTs and the scope of their application in digital business. It aims to determine the value factors of NFTs and whether an expansion of their use can be expected in the future. The results of our research show that the essential advantage that NFTs bring to digital business is authentication. NFTs also enable the continuous collection of royalties by the author. The last, but potentially most powerful value generator of NFTs, is the creation of an ecosystem, where an online community is formed based on the initial forms of digital assets. Without standardization and regulation by states, NFTs will remain in the market niche of intensive Internet users.","PeriodicalId":228142,"journal":{"name":"Naše gospodarstvo/Our economy","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124258454","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The goal of our paper is to test whether contractionary macroprudential policy stymies credit growth rate and whether expansionary macroprudential policy spurs credit growth rate in selected Euro Area economies (Austria, Belgium, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia, and Spain) over the period 2008Q4–2018Q4. We test two hypotheses: H1: The tightening of macroprudential policy measures reduces the non-financial corporate sector credit growth rate, and H2: The tightening of macroprudential policy measures reduces the growth rate of household credit. Based on our empirical results, we can confirm the first hypothesis. In contrast, the second hypothesis can be neither confirmed nor rejected since the explanatory variable of interest (MPI) is statistically insignificant in the second model.","PeriodicalId":228142,"journal":{"name":"Naše gospodarstvo/Our economy","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125553948","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using multinomial logistic regression, research confirmed a strong impact of media coverage on budget transparency. Positive media coverage of OLBT increases the probability that local administrative units will attain a higher level of transparency, while negative media coverage is accompanied by a higher likelihood of local units’ retention in the lower transparency range. The implications of these findings are clearly emphasized through a deeper understanding of the role of the media in public sector economics, precisely in the context of budget transparency. This study contributes to public sector literature by identifying the effects of positive and negative media coverage on budget transparency.","PeriodicalId":228142,"journal":{"name":"Naše gospodarstvo/Our economy","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134644773","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
