More and more wrists are wrapped in smartwatches with advanced technology using serval applications connected to smart mobile phones and sensors to track and monitor the healthy lifestyle of the wearers. This paper aims at conducting a systematic review of literature related to smart wearables that engage people in ensuring sustainable healthy lifestyle. The increasing capability of automation with AI turned the robots to cobots and results in Industry 5.0 as a brand-new historic period. Sensing technology, big data, and AI (AI) have proven viable at automating, managing, and optimizing a good range of non-industrial processes. The study focused on impact of consumer-grade smart wearables including smartwatch, and other patient related devices monitoring heart rate, speech therapy adherence, etc. Study found that health insurance companies are already using such devices to track the healthy lifestyle of patients and determining the insurance premium based on that.","PeriodicalId":227420,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130364643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim is to evaluate the relationship between PC and personality traits of healthcare professionals in private hospitals' and analyse the relationship of personality traits on turnover intention. The study adopts an empirical research design and the sampling frame constitutes doctors and nurses from private hospitals. The data collection sources were primary and secondary. Statistical tools such as Cronbach's alpha, Independent samples T-tests, Regression and Correlation were used. The findings shows that psychological contract has a significant positive relationship with employee turnover intentions. The practical relevance includes critical theoretical connections between doctors' and nurses' psychological contracts, personality traits, and intention to leave the profession (turnover). The findings have consequences for healthcare professionals' management, especially in the current context of the COVID pandemic.","PeriodicalId":227420,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122900277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The type of information shared in social network depends on the people behavior. During the distress the impulsive behavior will result in sharing of the misinformation unknowingly which will affect the people already in distress. The paper investigates the impact of social networks in the distressed areas due to natural calamity. The data was collected from the distressed area by offline mode and from other areas by online mode. The target informants were the affected people and the people involved in the relief and rescue operations. Confirmatory Factor Analysis was used to test whether the data fit for the hypothesized model. The study revealed that the social media played a crucial role in the relief and rescue operations and at the same time the misinformation has halted the operations in some places.","PeriodicalId":227420,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126784900","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Under this context, the present study proceeds in developing and testing an original conceptual framework that explores the factors influencing the use of e-government services. The proposed conceptual framework was tested using a newly developed structured questionnaire in a sample of 282 Greek internet users. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the structural equation modeling (SEM) technique. Results underline, among others, the significance of (1) perceived compatibility, (2) perceived operational benefits, (3) trust in e-government services, and (4) perceived information in enhancing the intention of citizens to use e-government services.","PeriodicalId":227420,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124102017","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was developed using geo and web technologies. The system offers functionalities to citizens (e.g., querying the nearest drop-off centre by waste type, map visualization, and directions) and managers (e.g., reports of underserved areas of disposal centres and users' profile). Besides a discussion on how the system assists citizens and managers, the authors provide a characterization of users' profile and show how the use of web technologies helped in the dissemination of information. Both analyses can help managers giving essential guidelines on how to motivate population engagement.","PeriodicalId":227420,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114554176","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite many nations classifying cryptocurrency as a threat and confirming it to be an illegal tender, mostly due to the disruption providing little or no advantage to the government bodies, many private organisations are now taking up cryptocurrency as a legally acceptable method of payment in various sectors from education, travel, wealth management and even traditional practices like targeting of customers and advertising. Cryptocurrency may be temporary, as long as the process of obtaining, safeguarding, and storing it in the Blockchain remains tedious and an extremely confusing process and the governments of nations are not going to accept the currency as a legal tender, as long as they get no benefit with it and as long as usage of the Bitcoin is linked heavily with payments for drugs and weapons. However, the usage in the legal markets may also show a marked increase.","PeriodicalId":227420,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122781622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

New technology integration has been changing the way individuals work and organisations operate. However, despite the many benefits, technology adoption can also be at times problematic and disruptive. This research utilising the case study method investigated the nature of problems and their impacts due to IT changes and automation in educational institutions in Bangladesh. The findings reveal that there are problems related to network; process; interface; and hardware that are causing operational impacts such as disruption, efficiency loss, productivity loss and quality issues of various extent. Furthermore, the paper based on the results of the case study and expert opinion provides a set of recommendations for problem mitigation.","PeriodicalId":227420,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123789585","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The mobility has been transformed and recycled sites, values, institutions, ethnicities, and people as well. With the benefits and problems mobility represented for human beings, it is important not to loose the sight there are many ways to understand and define mobility. This is the primary assumption that distinguishes George Amar from other scholars. In his book Homo Mobilis, published in Spanish by first time in 2011, our French philosopher presents a convincing argument that will allow understanding the tendencies of mobilities for next years. By introducing a neologism that combines relation with bondage (religance), his book provides readers with an all-encompassed conceptual framework respecting to the role to be played by mobilities in our industrial societies. Religance refers to the ability to be linked to a certain community or persons. Unlike other scholars who consider mobile technology as an instrument of oppression, Amar is convinced that human bonds may be strengthened by a correct administration of technological advance. At some extent, the term religance is of paramount importance since it defines the boundaries between space and time. For some reasons, which are in depth examined throughout this project, travellers need to explore their emotions in perspectives with their heritage and identities. This conceptual research not only seems to be illustrative but also up-dates the existent studies in these types of issues. Following Amar ́s account, the modern mobilities seem to be something else than a technique, or a means of transport, this represents a spirit, a kind of social institution that determines the daily social behaviour. The principle of religance that circumscribes the subject to their community may create new technologies, more sustainable for ecology that improves our quality of life. From this perspective, Amar argues that innovation would play a pivotal role in the industry of mobility worldwide. Basically, the classical sense of transport has set the pace to religance and modern mobility based on assumptions that: HOMO MOBILIS: The New Era of Mobility","PeriodicalId":227420,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133725427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
