When the economy is flourishing, hemlines increase, and when the economic situation is deteriorating, the hemlines drop, perhaps even to the floor. In contrast with measuring the illustrations from the fashion magazines of monthly publication traditionally, we collected daily time series of the hemline indicator using the searching volume and trading volume of short skirts on Taobao Index website. Then we evaluated it against the closing price of Shanghai Composite Index by Granger causality analysis and liner regression model during the period of March 1, 2013 to November 30, 2013. The main finding is that the closing price of stock market is the Granger causality of the searching volume and trading volume of short skirts. The rising of closing price in stock market can predict the more searching volume and purchase of short skirts one day later which verifies the hemline index theory on daily basis. Further confirmation based on different data resources and fashion measures is needed.","PeriodicalId":225942,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Behavioral, Economic and Socio-cultural Computing (BESC)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128462890","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to determine the relative prognostic importance of the various factors predisposing to vaccination decision-making of individual and analyze diffusion of innovation in immunization policy adoption on overall social network architecture, this paper carries out an agent-based modeling (ABM) approach to construct a pandemic immunization simulation model for providing insights into immunization behavior modification of individual during social interaction in community. Simulation results give decision support to assess the relative impact of healthcare services for pandemic control and suggest that reasonable immunization policies tend to promote individual immunization behavior. Moreover, propagation path of immunization awareness inside the community can be reviewed in depth in the simulation result.","PeriodicalId":225942,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Behavioral, Economic and Socio-cultural Computing (BESC)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126082062","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We propose a method to represent simulated motion, especially exaggerative motion by filtering the joint trajectories. The motion style is changed by shrinking or squashing the corresponding 3D trajectories. The similar but exaggerative motion with articulated constraints is generated by the inverse kinematic method. The motion of different characters can be combined to generate interactive human animation. Our method can also be utilized for motion segmentation.","PeriodicalId":225942,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Behavioral, Economic and Socio-cultural Computing (BESC)","volume":"209 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121542654","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fewer current practices exploit social networking initiatives to assist in spam filtering. Social network has essentially a large number of accounts features and attributes to be considered. Instead of considering large amount of users accounts features, we construct a new model called meta-layer email network which can reduce these features by only considering individual user's actions as an indicator of user preference, these common user actions are considered to construct a social behavior-based email network. With the further analytic results from text similarity measurements for each individual email contents, the behavior-based virtual email network can be improved with much higher accuracy on user preferences. Further, a coupled selection model is developed for this email network, we are able to consider all relevant factors/features in a whole and recommend the emails practically to the user individually. The experimental results show the new approach can achieve higher precision and accuracy with better email ranking in favor of personalised preference.","PeriodicalId":225942,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Behavioral, Economic and Socio-cultural Computing (BESC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128814633","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
