People share useful information to others as the growth of social media through Internet. This information is used to organize, explore and analyze for better decision making. Opinion Mining is a Natural Language Processing task which aims to determine the attitude of a person by identifying and extracting information. The major task in opinion mining is to classify the polarity of a review at sentence level, whether the expressed opinion is positive or negative. In this paper, we design a classifier using Naïve Bayes as a machine learning approach to determine the opinion expressed both in English and Bangla. We label the polarity of each opinion as weak, steady and strong. The performances are evaluated and the comparative results are analyzed.","PeriodicalId":224903,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International WIE Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WIECON-ECE)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128871233","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These robotic systems are based on lower limb muscles electromyographic (EMG) signals. EMG allows for the measurement of the change in the membrane as voltage from our muscles relates to work done. Apparently, there is no particular technique to estimate the mathematical relation between work done and surface EMG (sEMG) value of lower limb muscles. This study aims to propose a numerical model to estimate the muscle work done in the human lower extremity. This paper investigates the activity of the Biceps Femoris (BF) and Medial Gastrocnemius (MG) muscles of healthy subjects during lifting different known weight to a defined height and corresponding sEMG voltage is measured. It is observed that EMG voltage maintain almost non linear parabolic relationship with work done. We have also shown the accuracy of our proposed mathematical model considering all facts of errors numerically. A significant findings is that incrementing weight over 2 kg undergoes in saturated EMG potential, which means muscle fatigue creates in lower limb muscles in that situation.","PeriodicalId":224903,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International WIE Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WIECON-ECE)","volume":"295 7","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113958964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The video tracker presented here works on the principle of mean shift. Mean shift is an iterative algorithm which is extended to the field of object tracking. However mean shift tracker losses track of the object when there are variations in illumination. In order to improve the performance of the tracker the poorly illuminated video frames are pre-processed and enhancement is provided to only those frames based on hue preservation algorithm. Low illumination in a frame leads to low value DC coefficient. Enhancement is provided to frames with low DC coefficient. The frames with corrected illumination are used to track object of interest using the Mean shift algorithm. The proposed method is tried on a variety of video sequences. The results exhibit much improved tracking. The graph plotted for Bhattacharyya coefficient versus frame index exhibits significant increase in its values when the frames are pre-processed in comparison with the basic mean shift algorithm.","PeriodicalId":224903,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International WIE Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WIECON-ECE)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122881202","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The DC to DC converter used in the system is SEPIC converter which eliminates the use of separate ground isolation circuit and reduces tracking time. The efficiency of this converter is better than traditionally used Buck-Boost converter. Here Incremental Conductance method is used to get a stable output in varying solar irradiance level. The proposed system also includes elimination of PI controller for duty cycle modification, elimination of complex circuit for sensing current and elimination of filters for accurate analog to digital conversion of voltage and currents. This system is tested and verified experimentally with 135Wp solar panel in varying insolation levels.","PeriodicalId":224903,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International WIE Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WIECON-ECE)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122991848","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we consider the overall UL and DL rate maximization problem of the users in such a network with a provisioning for decoupled association. In particular, we formulate the UL and DL user association problem as a matching game where users and BSs rank one another using well-defined preference metrics such that their total UL and DL throughput is maximized. The preference profiles of the users are dynamic subject to the unique interference conditions in DUDe networks resulting due to dynamic user associations. As such, considering the impact of externalities becomes crucial in a matching game. To this end, we propose an algorithm based on swap matching that enables players to find a stable association such that no user tries to change her association. Simulations are conducted to show the efficacy of the proposed swap matching algorithm over traditional user association in DUDe networks in which simple user association criteria are used for both the UL and DL transmissions (i.e., path-loss in the UL and received signal power in the DL).","PeriodicalId":224903,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International WIE Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WIECON-ECE)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131247280","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes the natural continuation of root locus, that K be shown graphically with the s-plane. To illustrate the principle, graphs were drawn with Matlab for transfer functions ranging from first order to second order with multiple zeros. Far from the simple curves of the conventional root locus, a wide range of complex curves and artistic shapes were observed. The three dimensional plot of the real K axis with the complex s plane raises some fundamental mathematical questions. How much is the validity and usefulness of real axis perpendicular to a complex plane. The graphical incorporation of K into the root locus has become easier than ever with the availability of softwares such as Matlab.","PeriodicalId":224903,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International WIE Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WIECON-ECE)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129346012","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
